The nuclear submarine Krasnoyarsk was laid down in July 2014. It belongs to the fourth generation of nuclear submarines and is the second submarine in the line of multipurpose nuclear submarines of the Yasen-M project. The second submarine, Emperor Alexander III, is also nuclear-powered; it is the third submarine of the Borei-A project.
Both submarines are equipped with modern missile and torpedo systems. weapons, navigation systems, radio and hydroacoustic equipment.

I greet you on this significant day - the day when the naval flags are raised on the nuclear submarine cruisers "Emperor Alexander III" and "Krasnoyarsk", and these formidable missile carriers, which have no equal in their class, begin service in our Navy

- said Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The head of the Russian state promised that the country would implement all existing plans in the field of submarine construction. Putin emphasized that the construction of five Yasen-M class submarines is currently underway simultaneously, including the final stage of work being carried out on the nuclear-powered cruiser Arkhangelsk, which will soon be commissioned into the Russian Navy.

Work to increase Russia's naval power will certainly continue

- stressed the head of the Russian state.

Putin promised that the capabilities of the Russian fleet will increase in all seas - the Black, Baltic, Pacific, and Arctic.

Seven feet under the keel! Khabarovsk would go into service faster. Like Krasnoyarsk, it was laid down back in 2014. I have nothing against it, but it takes a long time to build.

The nuclear-powered multipurpose submarine Krasnoyarsk carries three types of missiles on board: hypersonic anti-ship missiles Zircon, supersonic anti-ship missiles Oniks-M and operational cruise missiles (OCR) Kalibr.

The Zircon hypersonic missile is launched from a surface position by a submarine. The missile has a speed of up to Mach 8, with a target engagement range of more than 1000 km and a warhead weight of 400 kg.

The Oniks-M supersonic missile has a warhead weight of 300 kg and a target engagement range of up to 800 km. This missile is launched from the nuclear submarine “Class” Krasnoyarsk” also from a surface position.

ROC “Caliber” 3M14 has a penetrating high-explosive warhead and a flight range of 375 km with a target speed of Mach 2,9. This missile is placed on submarines in the Kalibr-PL missile system, which launches the missile through a 533-mm torpedo tube, together with the torpedo part in the submerged position of the nuclear submarine, and after that the missile, having separated the torpedo part, goes into the airspace.

The nuclear submarine "Khabarovsk" is being built according to a modified design for "Status-6" ("Poseidon"). Everything new always comes with a delay. Because the nuclear submarine "Arkhangelsk" was laid down in 2015. They launched it into the water, but Khabarovsk is being tricky.
It seems to me that you went overboard with the Zircon missiles for the Yasen M nuclear submarine. "Zircon" for submarines has not yet been put into service. Two test launches were carried out from the Severodvinsk nuclear submarine, one from a surface launch and the second from an underwater launch. After these successful launches, we took a break. Initially, it was planned that the Zircon missile on boats would be used from an underwater launch.

He even got a little carried away with the weight of its warhead.

            the warhead weighs 400 kg.

Where has it been seen that the warhead was larger than that of the Onyx, which is simply supersonic? I am sure that the warhead of the Zircon is within the parameters of the same Onyx and does not exceed 300 kg. , otherwise, with such dimensions and launch weight, such a flight range and speed will simply be impossible.

Magic is no different, 3m14 reduced the range from 2500 to 375 and increased the speed before attacking the target? Don’t read Russian newspapers before lunch. And especially don’t copy this nonsense here without reading what the scribblers wrote there Yes

My point is that sometimes it’s better to be too safe than sorry.

In the navy, another tradition is that the boat commander, before launching, breaks a bottle of champagne on the hull of the boat.

Kasatik (Sergei), a priest with a censer, most often at the laying of a ship. It seems that the FSO did not allow the priest to go to the flag raising today.
And somehow they forgot that the standard surface Zircon carrier was shown to the President today: https://ren.tv/news/v-rossii/1170982-putin-iznutri-osmotrel-fregat-v-severodvinske?utm_source=yxnews&utm_medium=desktop

I noticed the video of the acceptance of nuclear boats. Showing the waters of the Severodvinsk port, the cruiser Admiral Nakhimov came into the frame. Radar station antennas are installed on both masts. The scaffolding from the superstructure has not yet been removed. We are waiting for spring, when the flagship SF will be launched for testing.
