Ukrainian press: official Kyiv has requested 17 million artillery shells from the head of the Pentagon
32
The Ukrainian press, citing sources in the highest echelons of power, writes about a request that came from Kyiv to the head of the US military department. The material of Ukrainian reporters states that Lloyd Austin received from official Kyiv a request for the supply (attention!) of 17 million artillery shells of various calibers, including 155 mm caliber.
As the Ukrainian press writes, the head of the Pentagon “was very surprised by such a request.”
From publications in Ukrainian media:
He was, to put it mildly, surprised, because such a quantity of ammunition is impossible to collect not only in the USA, but throughout the world.
It is also noted that such a quantity of ammunition, when establishing their production, could cost hundreds of billions of dollars. At the same time, the reference is to the opinion of high-ranking Ukrainian military officials, who stated that in order for the Armed Forces of Ukraine to reach the borders of 1991, at least $350 billion will be needed. This is approximately twice as much as what Ukraine has already received from the United States and the European Union.
Let us recall that the EU previously promised the Kyiv regime 2 million ammunition, but now European Commissioner Borrell says that it does not have “its own ammunition warehouse to take and transfer all this ammunition to Ukraine.”
