Deputy Commander of the 14th Army Corps, Major General Vladimir Zavadsky, died in the Northern Military District zone
On Tuesday, November 28, 2023, Major General Vladimir Zavadsky died in the special operation zone. This was reported by the interregional public organization of graduates of the Moscow Higher Combined Arms Command School.
The death of the general became known the day before; it was reported by both Russian and Ukrainian resources, but there was no official confirmation until today. According to available information, Vladimir Zavadsky died after being blown up by a mine in the Kharkov region. At the time of his death, the major general was deputy commander of the 14th Army Corps.
Vladimir Vasilyevich Zavadskiy was born on January 11, 1978. In 1995, he graduated from the Ulyanovsk Guards Suvorov Military School, and in 2000, from the Moscow Combined Arms Command School. He rose through the ranks from platoon commander to battalion commander, and after graduating from the Combined Arms Academy of the Russian Armed Forces in 2010, he began as deputy commander of the training tank regiment and reached the rank of commander of a motorized rifle division. He was awarded the Order of Courage.
In 2018, he took over the Kantemirovskaya Guards Tank Division and commanded it until 2021. At the time of his death, the major general was deputy commander of the 14th Army Corps.
Zavadsky is survived by his wife and three sons, one of whom followed in his father’s footsteps; he studies at the Tver Suvorov Military School.
