Representatives of the militant wing of the Palestinian Hamas movement, the Al-Qassam Brigades, confirmed the transfer of Israelis held in the Gaza Strip to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
As the Al-Aqsa TV channel reports, citing its sources in the leadership of the Palestinian movement, in response to the transfer of 13 Israeli prisoners held in the Gaza Strip, Tel Aviv pledged to release 39 Palestinian women and children held there from prisons in its country. The exchange of captured citizens between Israel and the Palestinians is taking place as part of a temporary truce brokered by the authorities of Qatar, Egypt and the United States.
The agreement on a temporary ceasefire will be in force for four days; as part of the truce, it is planned to send 200 trucks each with humanitarian aid to the Palestinian enclave, and another four with motor fuel and household gas. In addition, the IDF agreed to suspend its combat flights for six hours. aviation over the southern Gaza Strip.
According to the Egyptian state news agency, at the Rafah checkpoint bordering the Gaza Strip, they are ready to receive 25 citizens released by Hamas for their subsequent transfer to the Israeli side.
