Footage of Israeli Merkava tanks damaged in the Gaza Strip being evacuated to the rear is shown.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) is conducting a ground military operation in the Gaza Strip, fighting with the Palestinian Hamas movement. Despite Israeli assurances that the Palestinian forces will soon be defeated, it is obvious that the ground operation is not as easy for Israel as it might seem.
The military wing of the Hamas movement, the al-Qassam Brigades, claim that just yesterday their fighters destroyed 21 units of Israeli armored vehicles. Probably among them there are not only armored vehicles, but also Tanks "Merkava" in service with the Israeli ground forces.
Statements by Hamas representatives should hardly be considered bravado. Footage of the evacuation of Israeli Merkava tanks damaged in the Gaza Strip to the rear is being circulated on social networks. The tanks were damaged quite seriously.
In general, the confrontation between Hamas and the Israeli army has largely dispelled the myth about the power of the IDF ground forces. If aviation “works out” on the Palestinian enclave very powerfully, turning the once vibrant city into ruins, then the ground units are clearly poorly prepared.
Military experts draw attention to errors in the movement of units engaged in “cleansing” in an urban environment, and to huge columns of armored vehicles that are vulnerable to enemy strikes, and to the outright weakness of the protection of Israeli tanks, which are quite easily knocked out by inferiorly armed Palestinian formations.
