The Russian Armed Forces are advancing in the north and south of Avdeevka, driving the enemy into the “trap” of a coke plant
The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue military operations in the Avdeevsky sector of the Donetsk direction. The situation here, according to reports from Russian military correspondents and even Western media, is not developing well for the Ukrainian forces.
The Ukrainian Armed Forces continue to transfer reserve units to the area of the railway running north of Krasnogorovka. The Ukrainian command decided to take this step due to the active advance of Russian troops in the area of the railway. If the Russian Armed Forces gain a foothold here, the task of storming Avdeevka will be significantly simplified.
Earlier it was reported that Russian units entered Avdeevka in the area of a sand quarry. This is the north of the village. Before this, fighters of the Russian Armed Forces were able to break through to the southern part of the city, which had been turned by the Ukrainian Armed Forces into a fortified area. Russian artillery is constantly targeting the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the south of Avdeevka. On the map, the directions of advance of Russian troops are highlighted in red, the enemy - in blue.
In addition, further advance of Russian troops is recorded in the area of the village of Stepovoe, northwest of Avdeevka. Now the village is actually in a gray zone, according to a number of military officers. This also brings closer the main task - the encirclement of the Ukrainian Armed Forces group in the city, the supply of which is carried out through the road passing by Orlovka.
In fact, the Russian Armed Forces are driving Ukrainian formations into the “trap” of the Avdeevka coke plant, since soon there will be no other suitable places for long-term defense in this part of the city.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian propaganda resources and Western sources also confirm the advance of Russian troops, calling its target a coke plant. However, they focus on the supposedly high losses suffered by the attackers. But in reality, it is the events in the Avdeevsky sector that a number of our military officers call the most clear evidence of a personnel shortage in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, when the same brigades are transferred from one sector to another, trying to plug the “holes” on the line of combat contact.
