The newest MLRS "Polonez-M" entered service with the rocket artillery brigade of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus

The army of the union state of the Russian Federation, the Republic of Belarus, continues to be replenished with modern types of weapons produced both by enterprises of the Russian military-industrial complex and of its own design. In this way, not only the defense capability of Belarus is strengthened, but also the northwestern borders of Russia, reliably covered by the Belarusian military, become more protected.

The press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus announced the entry into service of the rocket artillery brigade of the Armed Forces of the Republic of the latest modernized complexes of the Polonez-M multiple launch rocket system of domestic production. On the occasion of the adoption of the new MLRS, a ceremonial formation of military personnel of the brigade took place; the ceremony was attended by the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, First Deputy Minister of Defense of the Republic of Belarus, Major General Viktor Gulevich.

The leadership of our state pays great attention to the development of missile forces and artillery. This process takes place taking into account a thorough study of the combat experience of the warring armies

— the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Belarus commented on the event.

The major general recalled that the first B-200 Polonaise missile systems produced by Belarusian defense enterprises began entering service with the national army seven years ago. Over the past period, this type of MLRS has been successfully mastered by the personnel of a separate rocket artillery battalion.

Gulevich emphasized that the Polonez-M MLRS, capable of simultaneously hitting eight targets with high accuracy at a distance of up to 300 kilometers, has no analogues in the world in some respects. The Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus congratulated the brigade personnel on receiving a new modernized complex with improved combat characteristics.

I am confident that the division’s servicemen will continue to worthily support the glorious combat traditions of missile warriors and increase the glory of older generations

- Gulevich added.

The development of a modernized version of the Polonaise MLRS began in 2016. In 2017, live firing was carried out from the newest complex. As previously reported by the State Military-Industrial Committee of Belarus, as part of the implementation of the comprehensive system project “Fire Weapons,” in 2018, development work on the modernization and production of MLRS combat weapons for the use of missiles with a range of up to 300 km was successfully completed. In the same year, the RK V300RK "Polonaise-M" was recommended for adoption by the Armed Forces of Belarus.

The press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus showed footage of the operation of the Polonez-M MLRS at the training grounds. The video was published in the telegram channel and official social media accounts of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Belarus.

On the other hand, while Tornado-S is being implemented, I would not disdain Polonaise either.

          Short comment: Tornado C - 120 km

120 km, including against moving targets.
Development of 200 km is already underway.

The Polonaise-M complex is a further development of the Polonaise complex, which has been in service in Belarus since 2016, developed in accordance with the Chinese-Belarusian agreement of 2013 and using high-precision 301-mm missiles of the A200 type with a range of up to 200 km of development and produced by the Chinese Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology (CALT, also known as the “First Academy”), part of the Chinese state-owned aerospace corporation China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation (CASC). The Polonaise-M complex, as is believed https://bmpd.livejournal.com/2913401.html), also included operational-tactical missile M20 development and production of the same Chinese CALT, which has the declared
          range up to 300 km
and the weight of the warhead is 480 kg.

In my opinion, the Iskanders are better than the M20 in everything.

It won't be enough. The Poles are buying an insane amount of Highmars and South Korean multiple rocket launchers there. And it’s a pity that polonaises are made without Russia’s participation. And I remember how here at VO the “experts” giggled, had fun and turned their heads when Old Man and the Chinese had to cut down this complex. And now even North Korea and Iran have their own quite good complexes.

And before, Polonaises were much cooler than our Tornadoes and Tornados. Now the difference is even greater. And the reason why our army does not buy Belarusian systems is simple - it is profitable for the owners of our factories to supply, even the worst, but their own! And it’s also beneficial for those military managers from the Ministry of Defense, and it’s clear why. For the same reason, North Korean missile defense systems are not purchased...

No, the missiles were developed with the help of China and are produced in Belarus. At one time, the Belarusians offered Russia joint development. Russia refused, the Belarusians had to “be friends” with China.

"Farewell to the Motherland." The minor polonaise by Michal Ogiński is dedicated to the death of “Vorotynia”, in whose Cossack formations the composer’s father fought against Catherine’s troops... Today, historians call these events the confrontation between the “Confederates” and the Russian (Romanov) troops.
Oginski also wrote the melody of the Polish anthem “Poland Has Not Perished Yet.”

In general, all that is known about Polonaise from open sources is that the KVO was initially laid down to 50 meters and 80 percent of the launches took place with a deviation from the point of 2-5 meters. Launches are carried out annually in Belarus and Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan was the first to carry out combat use. The guidance system is combined, inertial, satellite, radio navigation, and perhaps there is already optical target designation. The MLRS uses different types of ammunition, with different warheads. The warhead develops hypersonic speed with the ability to maneuver and is made using stealth technology. Well, something like this.
But Russia won’t buy Polonaise. Otherwise, why develop the Tornado-S project.

I look at the photo of the complex’s rocket and assume that it is two-stage. Previously, A200/A300 caliber 301 mm, made in China, were used; B-200 missiles with a firing range of 50 to 200 km and B-300 missiles with a firing range of 120 to 300 km were developed. The warhead of all types of A200 missiles is detachable. The probable deviation of the warhead from the target at maximum range is from 30 to 50 m. Such accuracy is ensured by the use of a combined guidance system - inertial with satellite correction. Localization of production of Belarusian versions of the A200/A300 is carried out at the State Enterprise "Precision Electromechanics Plant". It seems to me that the rocket engine remained Chinese, because... mastering the production of solid propellant rocket engines is a completely different story.

Answer to the question; this system is guided by GPS, the missile itself is 70% out of order, localization is low. Need to buy in China. Our Iskander is many times better, but it does not have a package, only 2 missiles.

Apparently, Polonaise works ideologically according to the same principles as Hymers / Atakms. This weapon has proven its effectiveness. Therefore, it is unpleasantly surprising that the Russian military-industrial complex lags behind in this matter.

The missile of the 9M723 "Iskander-M" complex is a solid-fuel operational-tactical ballistic missile, with a range of up to 500 km, two missiles on launchers.
