In the units of the 118th mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Zaporozhye direction, losses amount to more than 80 percent of the personnel
In the Zaporozhye direction, Ukrainian formations are suffering very significant losses. Russian war correspondents report this based on their own sources.
According to the Telegram channel “Two Majors”, in the units of the 118th separate mechanized brigade operating in the Zaporozhye direction, losses amount to more than 80 percent of the personnel. Thus, in one of the units, out of 44 newly arrived servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, soon only six people remained alive.
It is clear that with such a level of losses, the Ukrainian Armed Forces brigades involved in the counteroffensive risk being left without soldiers. Therefore, the Ukrainian command launched a real conveyor belt, transferring reserves to the Zaporozhye direction, usually consisting of people from the south-eastern regions of Ukraine.
Ukrainian soldiers themselves call the transfer to the 118th brigade a “one-way ticket.” Some try to save themselves from a sad fate by breaking their arms or legs, or shooting themselves in the limbs. However, now such methods of avoiding being sent to the front may turn out to be ineffective: the command is ready to send soldiers to the front line in any condition.
A number of Western experts, meanwhile, quite rightly drew attention to the main problem of Ukraine - the growing shortage of soldiers. If weapon If we can still get it from Western countries, then we will exhaust the human resource, and it is already clear that there are fewer and fewer people in Ukraine suitable for mobilization into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Hence the idea of conscripting women, teenagers, citizens with limited fitness for military service, and even the disabled.
