Military correspondents showed footage of an air battle between Russian and Ukrainian drones in the sky over Marinka

During a special military operation, both sides are actively using unmanned Aviation. Drones are used by the parties to the conflict to strike designated targets, conduct reconnaissance, and probe air defense systems.

Sometimes drones engage in dogfights with each other. One of the Russian military Telegram channels published footage of such an air battle between Russian and Ukrainian drones in the sky over Marinka (Donetsk People's Republic).

We see that a Russian drone attempted to ram a UAV launched by a Ukrainian formation. The Ukrainian drone was carrying an attached grenade, apparently intended to strike a Russian troop position. However, our drone attacked and shot down an enemy drone, after which it crashed and the cargo attached to it, a grenade, detonated.

Unmanned aerial vehicles are being used increasingly to “hunt” enemy drones. This tactic shows good results and often reduces costs and expenses when conducting operations to destroy enemy drones. A typical example is the situation that we, thanks to the filming of the Russian military, see in the footage published by military correspondents of the battle of two drones on the Maryinsky sector of the front.

Many military experts point out that in modern conditions, unmanned aerial vehicles will play an increasingly significant role in the air defense system, primarily protection against attacks or reconnaissance flights of enemy drones.

      I have to notice,
Well done, but tools need to be applied
detection, tracking and suppression at long range,
so to speak, the approaches. Penicillin shows
excellent results, but more advanced ones are needed
decisions on range, quality; electronic warfare means should
stay ahead of enemy developments and preventively inflict
irreparable losses for him. From the experience of the SVO question
price-quality has long been a priority for UAVs,
which affect expensive equipment and personnel of Banderreich
      at a relatively low cost.

The more they push in class, the more useful they will be when they are drafted into the army.

A new class is the drone fighter.
It is quite possible to develop software aimed at automatic search and auto-targeting.
If design work in this direction has not begun, then it’s time.

There are possible options here. For example, a 12-gauge double-barreled shotgun with buckshot.

Viewing at 1/4 speed shows that up to the 7th second the footage is from the victim drone; after - from the winning drone and you can see how the victim falls. => Either the signals from the Ukrov drone were intercepted or this is not a battle yet, but testing of equipment with video recording from both devices.
In any case, this is footage of the emergence of a new direction in the arms race.
You cannot allow yourself to be overtaken in this direction.

The overall situation with the “defeat” of the drones is not so “rosy”(!)!
The Ukrainian Armed Forces began to increasingly use ramming tactics. So, the operator notices a Russian drone that is conducting reconnaissance of the area or has other tasks. After adjusting the course, a strike is made on the Russian drone, as a result of which the latter loses altitude and falls. Typically, Ukrainian rams are aimed at the main rotor, but the chances of remaining in working order after such attacks are minimal. Experts note that this is not required, since for such purposes they use cheap drones, which cost several times less than Russian aircraft.

But if for a long time the Ukrainian Armed Forces units used Chinese quadcopters, and the chances of detecting Russian drones were small, then soon the Ukrainians will have an advanced MARSS system at their disposal. It is reported that the quadcopters will be able to automatically aim at the target using built-in software based on artificial intelligence. The computer will calculate the course and speed, and then carry out all the necessary maneuvers, which will not only increase the survivability of the ram, but also reduce the chances of Russian drones remaining in the air. Conflicting data are provided, and the exact number of such devices that will be transferred to Kyiv is not specified. What is known is that the Principality of Monaco took upon itself the responsibility to purchase such a system.

Our operators have been doing this for a long time. The same cheap copter. Only now there are also specialists in the field of aerobatics. How will the enemy Mars system determine the speed and course of our vehicle? Does she have a locator? And how will she control a cheap Chinese drone whose interface only has a joystick. These will no longer be cheap and not at all civilian drones. These should be serial drones for special purposes. I haven’t heard of these being used anywhere under AI control

I agree that in the article, a fragment of which I cited here, it is written “cloudy” about MARSSe! Actually, MARSS is a ready-made drone with “sophisticated bells and whistles”... it’s unlikely to be controlled by a joystick!

Basically I'm wrong too recourse. If the Marss station can modulate the signal and transmit/receive it. In general, let the experts figure it out. And then from me, too, so-so
