“Troops are not commanded from offices”: the Telegram channel of the special operations forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine commented on the resignation of the commander of the Special Operations Forces Khorenko

The Ukrainian media continues to discuss the recent resignation of the head of the Kyiv regime, Vladimir Zelensky, of the commander of the special operations forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Major General Viktor Khorenko. The general is considered close to the commander in chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Valery Zaluzhny.
The Telegram channel of the Ukrainian Special Operations Forces commented on the resignation of the MTR commander. The resource speaks exclusively about the general in a positive manner, casting doubt on the advisability of his dismissal from office.

The decision taken by Zelensky to dismiss Khorenko was assessed ambiguously by the Ukrainian security forces. Major General Khorenko himself claims that the decision to resign was made bypassing the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Zaluzhny. Zelensky’s adoption of this decision, according to the major general, was preceded by some problems with the presidential office.
Then the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov decided to “cause fire on himself” and stated that Major General Khorenko was dismissed from his post precisely on his recommendation. Zelensky himself emphasized that Khorenko will now serve in the Main Intelligence Directorate under the command of Lieutenant General Kirill Budanov.
A number of analysts believe that Khorenko’s dismissal indicates a further deepening of contradictions between Zelensky and his entourage, on the one hand, and the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Zaluzhny, and generals and senior officers of the Ukrainian army close to him, on the other hand.
