Germany is preparing to transfer a new large batch of Leopard 1A5 tanks to Ukraine

Germany will not leave Ukraine without German tanks, a new batch of armored vehicles was included in the new package of military assistance already provided to Kyiv. True, the Germans were unable to supply modern modifications, so the Ukrainian army will have to be content with the outdated Leopard 1A5.
While German Leopard 2 tanks are burning out near Avdiivka, the German government continues to supply the Ukrainian Armed Forces with Leopard 1A5 tanks. According to information posted on the Bundestag website, the Ukrainian army will immediately receive 25 tanks of the first series from those previously promised. It is not yet known when this will happen, but Ukrainian resources report that the tanks should be handed over in the near future. The delivery is financed by the Germans together with the Danes.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine announced the adoption of Leopard 1A5 tanks into service with the Ukrainian army. As stated, this armored vehicle showed its “effectiveness” in battles against the Russian army, therefore it was chosen by the Ukrainian Armed Forces as “modern and high-tech” weapons.

In addition, the Germans continue to dress the Ukrainian Armed Forces, supplying the Ukrainian military with winter uniforms. This time Kyiv received 30 thousand sets of winter tactical clothing and 10 thousand ballistic glasses. The Germans also donated 32 SatCom satellite terminals.
The package also included two TRML-4D detection and correction radars, which are used as part of the IRIS-T SLM anti-aircraft missile system, and 2 AMPS airborne defense systems for helicopters, which should protect the vehicles from Russian air defense.
