Ukrainian military expert: The Russian army switched to the tactics of cyclical attacks near Avdiivka

Ukrainian information sources write that Russian troops, having reduced the activity of offensive operations in the north of Avdiivka, have significantly increased it in the south and southwest. It is reported that Russian troops are having success in the direction of the village of Tonenkoye, which is west of Avdeevka.
Tonenkoe is still under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and from it to the last remaining road controlled by Ukrainian troops to Avdievka is only about 2,5 km. Accordingly, the situation for the enemy is close to what the military calls the term “bag of fire.” It is already impossible to safely drive/pass to Avdeevka on the road from Orlovka, located 3 km from Tonenky. This road is under fire from Russian troops.

Called a military expert in Ukraine, Konstantin Mashovets states that Russian troops deliberately switched to “cyclical attack tactics.” This tactic consists of the fact that first pressure is exerted on the defensive positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces from one direction, the commanders of the Ukrainian operation in this sector of the front are trying to transfer reserves there, and Russian troops begin to attack from another direction.
Earlier, an ex-adviser in Zelensky’s office, Arestovich, included in the list of extremists and terrorists by Rosfinmonitoring, said there was no doubt that the Ukrainian Armed Forces would lose Avdiivka. According to the ex-adviser, this will be “a verdict on the system.”
