Testing of a new device for destroying ammunition without detonation has been completed on the territory of the LPR

The newest device for the remote destruction of ammunition and improvised explosive devices is recommended for adoption by special units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation after acceptance tests that took place on the territory of the LPR. This was reported by the All-Russian Research Institute for Civil Defense and Emergency Situations (VNII GOChS).

The institute's specialists have developed a new device that makes it possible to remotely destroy artillery and engineering ammunition, as well as improvised explosive devices without detonation, i.e. without blowing them up. The institute does not disclose the details of the design, but notes that this device can also be used to pierce concrete and metal structures. It is also clear from the message that the new device destroys ammunition and IEDs.

Acceptance tests of a device for remote non-detonation destruction and destruction of artillery, engineering ammunition and improvised explosive devices have been successfully completed

- leads RIA News words of the deputy head of the All-Russian Research Institute of Civil Defense and Emergencies Vladimir Moshkov.

Tests of the new device were carried out on the territory of the LPR for a month; about a hundred different ammunition were destroyed. It is noted that the tests were acceptable; upon completion, experts from the All-Russian Research Institute of Civil Defense and Emergency Situations recommended that the device be accepted for supply to special units of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations involved in humanitarian demining.

As stated at the institute, over the past three years, about 40 units of new equipment and devices have undergone trial operation and acceptance tests in the departments of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, of which approximately 25% have been accepted for supply.

I was recently in the LDPR. There is a sea of unexploded ordnance and mines. You can’t go into the forest, you can’t go into unmown grass. Walk only on asphalt or well-trodden paths. And there is no guarantee of safety. Now with the snow the situation will be even worse.

This is the only way to go.

Isn't it a high pressure water jet? Once upon a time there was a report about such a device and the shape of its bend such that when it is detonated (a demining device), a stream of water is formed and how a guillotine cuts a dangerous object (without detonating it)

Yes, many years ago there was an article about a hydrogun. Water hammer destroys the explosive charge so quickly that it does not have time to detonate.

Another video showed how a girl with a bomb was rescued by a robot with a hydrogun.

without blowing them up. The institute does not disclose design details.

      The detail is simple
      ''Cut to hell...''(c)
Most likely a jet of water under very high pressure. But options are possible - abrasive, ultrasound, but most likely water

What is the operating principle? After all:
      1) if you get it wet, it is temporary (it will dry out someday).
      2) cutting, or pressing - requires a LOT of energy.
      3) chemical dissolution - long and expensive.
      4) if the device is BIG, then the cost of gasoline.

Theoretically, it is possible to destroy all the gunpowder inside, but how? )))
It's SO cheaper - just the same if you cut it and pour out the gunpowder.
