Ukrainian sources: The Russian Armed Forces managed to advance north of Avdeevka and occupy an area up to a kilometer wide

The situation on the Avdeevsky sector of the front is becoming increasingly tense for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This follows from an analysis of Ukrainian sources, although officially the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reports that they have repelled “all” Russian attacks in this direction.
According to information from the Ukrainian General Staff, Russian troops launched at least 15 attacks in the areas of Stepnoy, Avdeevka, Tonenkoye, and Severny. Allegedly, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled “all” attacks. But independent Ukrainian sources report completely different information.
The Russian Armed Forces managed to advance north of Avdeevka and occupy an area up to a kilometer wide, Ukrainian military analysts say. We are talking about an area along the railway tracks. Russian troops are trying to secure a controlled corridor, which will allow a further offensive to be launched towards Stepovo and Berdichi, as well as towards the industrial zone of the Avdeevsky coke plant.

According to Ukrainian observer Yuri Butusov, Russian units expect to take positions on the territory of the enterprise, after which a springboard will be provided for further entry into the city.
Another dangerous area is the southern approaches to Avdeevka. Here, Russian troops continue attacks with the aim of capturing a sand quarry near the village of Opytnoye. Thus, Ukrainian sources acknowledge the complexity of the situation in the Avdeevsky area.
Although the Kiev regime is trying to claim that the assault on Avdiivka will not be successful, the situation is likely to develop according to the opposite scenario. Former adviser to the office of the President of Ukraine Alexey Arestovich (included in the Russian Federation in the list of terrorists and extremists of Rosfinmonitoring) has already drawn attention to this. He believes that Russian troops will take Avdeevka, and draws parallels with the events around other cities previously liberated by the Russian Armed Forces - Bakhmut (Artemovsk), Soledar, Severodonetsk, Lisichansk.
