The Prime Minister of the Czech Republic and the Chancellor of Austria arrived in Tel Aviv to express “full solidarity with Israel”

As always, quickly, almost instantly, the foreign policy views and preferences of the leaders of the so-called free democratic countries, openly dancing to the tune of the United States, are changing. Not so long ago, the most fashionable and correct trend for Western politicians and officials of all stripes was support for Ukraine, where European leaders, EU bureaucrats and other allies of Kiev, including the President of the United States, went one after another, first on secret and then almost official visits .
And then a serious crisis occurred in the Middle East, threatening the complete loss of the already weakened US influence in this region, which is very important in military-political and economic terms. The United States immediately rushed to the aid of Israel, which risks simply being destroyed if not only paramilitary Islamic groups, but also Middle Eastern countries manage to unite against the Jewish state.
The US President has already visited Israel, expressing full support for the Jewish state in the fight against Hamas, and not only this organization. Twice since the beginning of the invasion of Palestinian militants on October 7, the head of the US State Department, Antony Blinken, the Pentagon chief, Lloyd Austin, and the head of the US Central Command, General Michael Kurilla, have flown to Tel Aviv.
Leaders of other Washington satellite states also visited Israel. Among them are German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, French President Emmanuel Macron, and Prime Ministers of the Netherlands Mark Rutte and Greece Kyriakos Mitsotakis. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen at the Defense Ministry headquarters in Tel Aviv on October 13, and on October 22 he spoke with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. A whole delegation arrived from Romania to Jerusalem on October 17.
In order not to fall out of the new trend, the heads of other states also have to hurry up to follow the leaders of the “free world”. Today, Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Petr Fiala and Chancellor of Austria Karl Nehammer arrived in Israel for a visit. Fiala wrote on his social network account about his arrival in Tel Aviv for the purpose of holding negotiations with the Israeli leadership and expressing “full solidarity” with the Jewish people.
He noted that after the Hamas attack, “Czech firms immediately supplied Israel with basic military equipment, such as ballistic plates from the STV Group.” The head of the Czech government said that at today's negotiations the possibility of providing further assistance to “Israeli friends” will be discussed.
Taking into account all these events, it is becoming increasingly clear that for the West, Ukraine has not just faded into the background, but has become an unbearable and unpromising burden, which they will strive to get rid of as soon as possible. And these are very bad news for Kyiv. Although there is nothing particularly surprising here, given the historical experience of the United States, which always abandons its “allies” as soon as more important priorities appear in the international situation.
