Russian Ministry of Defense: In the area of the village of Serebryanka, Su-34 aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces attacked command posts of the Ukrainian Armed Forces
Throughout the day, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continued to carry out combat missions in various directions in the zone of the special military operation. This follows from the published report of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation for October 19, 2023.
In the Krasnolimansk direction, the Russian Armed Forces inflicted fire damage with artillery and aviation assault formations of the 63rd and 67th mechanized brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces on the Torsky ledge and in the Serebryansky forestry.
In the Serebryanka area, Su-34 aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces attacked command posts of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The total enemy losses in this direction amounted to more than 235 militants, 2 armored vehicles, 2 pickup trucks, and 1 enemy UAV was shot down in the Torskoye area.
Russian troops continue to push back the enemy in the Kupyansk direction. Here our fighters repulsed 11 enemy attacks, which were carried out by assault groups of the 14th, 32nd, 115th mechanized, 68th Jaeger and 95th air assault brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The total losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine amounted to up to 70 militants here, in addition, the enemy lost 1 tank, 2 armored vehicles, 3 cars, 1 self-propelled gun "Akatsiya" and 1 self-propelled gun "Gvozdika".
Fighting continues in the Donetsk direction. Here the Russian Armed Forces defeated four mechanized, air assault and territorial brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Kurdyumovka, Andreevka, Kleshcheevka and Khromov in the Artemovsky sector, as well as in the Marinka area. As a result of the fighting, the enemy lost 2 Msta-B howitzers and 2 D-30 howitzers, 1 D-20 howitzer, Gvozdika self-propelled guns and M119 howitzers. The losses of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in personnel are more than 260 people.
Under Razdolovka FPV-drones attacked enemy infantry groups, and artillery units of the Russian Armed Forces fired at the temporary deployment point of one of the battalions of the 77th airmobile brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Chasov Yar. The air defense of the Russian Armed Forces shot down 17 enemy UAVs over the territory of the Donetsk People's Republic.
Strikes by the Russian Armed Forces destroyed the command post of the 110th mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Avdeevka area. The fighting in the Avdeevsky sector of the Donetsk direction continues, our troops hold their previously occupied positions and continue to attack the enemy.
In the areas of Ugledar, Novomikhailovka and Staromayorsky in the South Donetsk direction, the artillery of the Russian Armed Forces fired at the positions of the 72nd mechanized and 58th motorized infantry brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The enemy lost up to 190 people, 2 armored vehicles, 3 cars.
Fighting does not stop in the Zaporozhye direction. Here our units repulsed an attack by attack aircraft of the 82nd Air Assault Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the area of the village of Verbovoye. Near Rabotino, personnel and equipment of the 65th mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces were hit by fire.
The losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in this direction amounted to 40 people, 2 tanks, 5 armored vehicles, 2 cars. In addition, the artillery of the Russian Armed Forces in the Zaporozhye direction destroyed the German-made Panzerhaubitze 2000 self-propelled gun, the American-made M119 howitzer and the Msta-B gun.
The Russian army shelled enemy positions in the Kherson direction. As a result of artillery fire, up to 40 Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel, 4 vehicles, and 1 D-20 howitzer were destroyed.
Separately, it is worth noting the successes of aviation and air defense of the Russian Armed Forces. Thus, in the Troitsky area in the DPR, a MiG-29 fighter of the Ukrainian Air Force was shot down. Near Dnepropetrovsk, air defense systems shot down a Su-25 attack aircraft, and in the Kharkov region - a Mi-8 helicopter of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
