Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation: TOS "Solntsepek" and aviation inflicted fire damage on the brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kupyansk direction

The Kupyansk direction remains one of the most difficult for the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This follows from the traditional report of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, analyzing the situation at the front as of October 18, 2023.

The report of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reports that units of the “West” group of troops of the Russian Armed Forces repelled 13 enemy attacks launched by assault groups of the 14th, 32nd, 43rd, 115th mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the areas of Sinkovka, Ivanovka, Orlyansky and Pershotravnevoy Kharkov region, Sergeevka, Lugansk People's Republic.

Heavy flamethrower systems "Solntsepek" inflicted fire damage on personnel and military equipment of the 68th Jaeger Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the area of ​​the village of Nadiya, Lugansk People's Republic. In addition, near Berestov, Kharkov region, TOS and aviation defeated units of the 103rd Territorial Defense Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Total losses in the Kupyansk direction amounted to 80 Ukrainian Armed Forces militants, 3 tank, 1 American-made M113 armored personnel carrier, 3 armored vehicles, 2 pickup trucks and 1 Akatsiya self-propelled gun.

Fighting continues in the Krasnolimansk direction. Here our fighters repelled an attack by assault groups of the 63rd mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the area of ​​the village of Chervonaya Dibrova. In addition, attacks were carried out on the locations of the 67th mechanized brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, the 5th brigade of the National Guard, the 1st special forces brigade and the 110th territorial defense brigade. The enemy lost up to 60 militants, 2 armored vehicles and 2 pickup trucks in this direction.

In the Zaporozhye direction, the Russian Armed Forces repelled another attack by the 71st Jaeger Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the area of ​​​​the village of Verbovoye. Near Uspenovka, a blow was struck at the location of the forces and assets of the 82nd air assault and 116th mechanized brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. In total, the enemy lost up to 85 militants, 2 armored vehicles, 2 cars and 1 American-made M119 howitzer in the Zaporozhye direction. As we can see, the intensity of the fighting has decreased somewhat.

Russian troops repelled an enemy attack near Chervony in the South Donetsk direction. In addition, in the areas of Novomikhailovka, Pavlovka and Staromayorsky, the Russian Armed Forces defeated from the air the personnel and military equipment of five brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine - the 79th Air Assault, 72nd Mechanized, 58th Motorized Infantry, 107th and 128th Territorial defense In total, the enemy lost up to 170 militants and 2 pickup trucks in the South Donetsk direction.

In the Donetsk direction, the most tense situation is in its Artemovsky section. Fighting continues here in the areas of Kurdyumovka, Kleshcheevka, Andreevka, Khromovoy, and Maryinka. The Ukrainian Armed Forces' losses amount to up to 115 militants, 2 armored vehicles, 2 pickup trucks, 1 D-20 howitzer and 1 Msta-B howitzer.

In recent days, the enemy has become more active in the Kherson direction. Here, the Russian military managed to stop the attacks of four sabotage and reconnaissance groups of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. In the Kherson region, the enemy lost up to 70 militants and 2 vehicles, 2 D-30 howitzers and 1 M777 artillery system.

In the Dnepropetrovsk region, a warehouse of aircraft missiles at the Lozovoye airfield was destroyed by a strike by the Russian Armed Forces. The air defense forces of the Russian Armed Forces managed to shoot down 51 enemy UAVs over various areas in the special operation zone.
