The Ministry of Defense showed footage of the combat work of crews of T-80BVM tanks in the Kupyansk direction

Russian Tanks T-80BVMs are actively used in battles with the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Northern Military District zone; this tank is in service with units of the Western Military District. Footage of the use of tanks in the Kupyansk direction was shown by the Russian Ministry of Defense.

The Russian military department showed the work of crews of T-80BVM tanks on one of the sections of the line of combat contact in the Kupyansky direction, where Russian troops continue to advance, knocking out the enemy from occupied positions. One of the tank crews’ tasks is to destroy strongholds and fortifications of the Ukrainian Armed Forces for the further advancement of our infantry. Also, no one removed the task of destroying enemy armored vehicles from tankers, but lately they appear on the battlefield less and less.

Tanks operate both direct fire and from closed firing positions, using coordinates transmitted from drones. This allows you to hit targets that are beyond line of sight. Tankers praise the T-80BVM tank, especially its ability to operate at night. As the commander of a tank company with the call sign "Vanguard" stated, tanks inflict significant damage on the enemy.

The last target that was hit the day before yesterday was an ammunition depot from the enemy. This causes great damage to the Ukrainian Armed Forces, since the enemy has very little ammunition and ammunition, so when we hit such targets, it causes significant damage to them. (...) The crew has been fighting together since the first day of the North Military District, all were awarded medals "For Courage"

- he added.

MBT T-80BVM is the latest modernization of the T-80 tank, developed in Omsk. The vehicle, which has undergone a deep modernization, is equipped with a 125-mm cannon capable of firing guided missiles, a multi-channel sight, a modified 1250 hp gas turbine engine, a weapon stabilizer and a driver observation device. The tank is protected from fire by a complex of modular dynamic protection and an anti-cumulative lattice screen.

I wonder what is it about this tank that it can see at night, but this cannot be used on other MBT models?
Of course, the T-80 is a good car.

I’m not hinting at anything, but there is such an expression as “Open your eyes”...

...what is good???...an engine that consumes three times more smoke than a diesel engine...and because of this, the distance traveled when fully refueled is three times less than that of the T-72...because of the large fuel consumption, they installed an auxiliary power unit, which is not only not covered by anything, but is not even connected to the on-board automatic fire extinguishing system... or maybe because the air purification system at the rear of the turret is carried out even by small arms... or maybe because the engines have a meager service life compared to diesel...
The T-80 was created for tank shafts, and not for all cases like the T-72...that’s why it did not and will not become a full-fledged MBT...money down the drain

Not three, but one and a half, despite the fact that the turbine is a quarter more powerful. But it seems a bit complicated for you.

The power reserve is comparable, while the march, and not only on the highway, is faster. But you don't know.

APUs are installed on any military equipment if size and finances allow, and they do this to preserve the service life of the engine. The simplest thing, but not for you.

You are not aware of basic things, what can you know about fire extinguishing systems? Well, not connected, so what? No units are connected, because sensors control reserved volumes! And the APU is moved beyond the MTO volume to the stern in an armored box. It looks like you read something about the Abrams, but didn’t understand anything...

The T-80 does not have any “cleaning system at the rear of the turret”, there is simply an air intake, and not connected with the MTO, and even then not on all models. And the VZ box doesn’t care at all about the holes from the rifle. Well, you don’t know anything about the T-80!

With equal power and operating conditions, the turbine resource is much higher than that of piston internal combustion engines - this is almost the basics, but not for people like you...

“Tank shafts” without any comments at all... Taking into account the fact that the T-80 initially had a much more advanced control system than the T-72.

You have zero knowledge of the topic and are talking nonsense...

Yes, impressive. At least later, of course, it would not be superfluous to tell what goals were set and to what extent they were achieved, what goals were hit, what was the enemy’s fire impact...

The ammunition has been mastered. What more do you need? For efficiency, this is not about us.

Do you also shoot at pots of hot water at night?
