A Russian fighter intercepted an American RQ-4B Global Hawk drone over the Black Sea

A Russian fighter jet intercepted an American RQ-4B Global Hawk reconnaissance drone approaching the border over the Black Sea. The press service of the Ministry of Defense reported this.

Russian air defense airspace control systems detected an unidentified air target approaching the state border of the Russian Federation. In order to identify and intercept it, a Su-27 fighter of the air defense duty forces was taken into the air. When approaching the target, it was determined that this was an American reconnaissance drone trying to get as close as possible to Crimea.

The crew of the Russian fighter identified the aerial target as a reconnaissance UAV RQ-4B Global Hawk of the US Air Force

- it is spoken in the message of the Ministry of Defense.

Our fighter “intercepted” an American drone, and the drone, having spotted the Russian plane, made a U-turn and moved away from the Russian border. The fighter returned safely to its home airfield. As emphasized, there were no violations of the state border.

Note that recently the American Drones constantly hovering near the Black Sea coast, they are especially often noticed during Kyiv’s attack on the Russian peninsula. It is possible that the American drones act as relays for operators of Ukrainian unmanned boats, and also record the results of the attack, after which they transmit this data to Kyiv.

Let us recall that in March of this year, one American MQ-9 Reaper drone of the US Air Force already fell into the Black Sea, as it was not in the right place at the right time. The crew of the Russian Su-27 fighter was nominated for state awards.

It was necessary to suppress the electronic warfare and drop it.
There’s no point in messing around with drones.

Is there evidence that the Reaper was dragged away? Of course, I believe the words from the Moscow Region, but is there any material evidence?

What? Do we have an analogue of the EA-18G Growler?
It’s the Americans who have these electronic warfare on aircraft carriers, we have a whole zoo, as far as I know, only on the basis of the old Il20 there is something and what it can do
The RQ-4B Global Hawk is a big question.

There are two big differences, a robot drone and an airplane with a pilot or crew. If you shoot down a UAV, there will be no war. And with the crew too. We didn’t start a war with Israel when they shot down our AWACS plane with its crew. soldier

The Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the plane was shot down by mistake by the Syrian S-200 complex while repelling an Israeli air raid in the province of Latakia. It’s like the famous phrase about negative economic growth. And here there was a conditional interception. The Americans and small Britons conduct reconnaissance using these drones, prepare information for sabotage groups and select targets for their missiles. Which they supply to the outskirts. And ours are afraid to shoot down this drone.

Don't confuse emy with suppression. Physically, a device that fits into a matchbox can suppress cellular communications within a radius of tens of meters and with an output power of less than 0,5 watts. This is much less than the total power of the phones in the affected area, and even less than the base station with its hundreds of watts of output. winked
And a virus that has entered your computer can make it unviable, having no independent energy content at all; it generally uses only those energies that the computer itself operates on. bully

Why not a fighter? After treating the drone with heat traps, the ripper plopped into the sea. You can also stream it. Or dump fuel. Knights or swifts would go there. They know how to land "accidentally". And this will not be an attack

It’s just a show for the people at parades. This is practicing aerobatic maneuvers. They are necessary both in combat, if it suddenly happens that fighters are nearby, and for avoiding a missile attack. But no one knocks anyone down. Apart from a few incidents. This has been happening for decades, and now everyone is asking why they didn’t shoot it down. Because there is no reason. What does "intercepted" mean?
We must write it as it actually is - it flew out to intercept and the interception did not take place, the enemy retreated to neutral territory..
If he had intercepted it, he would have been destroyed or defeated accordingly!
And it just scared me away!

No need to rush! Let him come 10 meters into our space and shoot him down.

The fighter returned safely from its home airfield and took down the fucking reconnaissance UAV RQ-4B Global Hawk of the US Air Force. It's more pleasant for the soul.

I have a question for the experts: does this Pindosian crap fly in neutral airspace? Of course, I can figure it out myself, search and google it, I just don’t have enough time and it’s easier to ask someone who knows, rather than make my own guesses. If in neutral space, then our UAVs can fly there quite legally, but you never know what can happen: the automation failed, the rudders got stuck, they accidentally collided. Well, in general: sorry, we didn’t mean to, it just happened that way.

Our UAVs are only in cartoons for cutting the budget. and in cartoons there are no such LLAs that can come close to the USA. We need air bases in Nicaragua.

Can not. If they could, they would fly and collide.

The question is the availability of UAVs that can ram the Hawk. He flies quite high and fast.

Well, they didn’t guess right. All pilots of these groups have either “1st class” or “masters”, and not formally, but with full training. Not only that, but they also took part in combat missions more than once. And by the way, all the elements of the “show” are methods for use.

Yes, yes.. Diamond and dissolution are for combat use...

Interception - in aviation, the approach of an air defense aircraft (interceptor aircraft) to the aircraft -violator for the purpose of identifying him, indicating to his crew violation and subsequent removal of the offender from the territory restricted area or escort to the nearest landing airfield.

What did that drone do? Flew into our airspace or into a restricted area? Those who don’t have a clear answer can simply downvote.

He intercepted him and planted him! Otherwise he just accompanied him and wished him good luck!

Somehow he didn’t intercept it convincingly, but if he had forced him to land, then that would have been the case!
