Russian troops took control of the key point of the enemy's bridgehead near Avdeevka - a waste heap near a coke plant

Units of the Russian Armed Forces achieved significant success in the Avdeevka area. After a series of air strikes and with artillery support, assault units took control of one of the enemy’s key strongholds in this city of Donbass.
It is reported that units of the 114th separate motorized rifle brigade of the Russian Armed Forces inflicted defeats on units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces that held under their control a waste heap near the Avdeevsky coking plant. The waste heap was a commanding height and was used not only as the focus of numerous firing points, but also as an object for visual observation and control of the area. In addition to everything else, in the waste heap the enemy dug a lot of manholes and “holes” in which he usually waited out the work of the Russian artillery.
Now the FABs and the Russian infantry have done their important job. The key point of the enemy's Avdeevsky bridgehead came under the control of the Russian Armed Forces. Dozens of enemy army personnel were destroyed, part of the garrison used on the waste heap and on the approaches to it, under fire from Russian artillery and armored vehicles, retreated further - to the coke plant itself.
Russian units are gaining a foothold at a commanding height and continue to inflict fire on the enemy, who over the past 2-3 days has already lost at least 10 sq. km of territory near Avdeevka.
The day before, the Ukrainian command stated that the Russian army was “trying to force the Ukrainian Armed Forces to transfer reserves to Avdiivka, removing them from other directions.” Based on this statement, one must assume that the Ukrainian command is not going to do this.
