Germany announced the transfer to Ukraine of a new batch of Leopard 1A5 tanks and Gepard self-propelled guns

Ukraine will soon receive another batch of German tanks Leopard 1A5, delivery announced by the German Ministry of Defense. According to the press service of the military department, in addition to tanks, Kyiv will also receive self-propelled anti-aircraft guns.
Berlin will give Kyiv ten Leopard 1A5 tanks, three Gepard self-propelled guns and 15 armored personnel carriers. The Germans did not give exact delivery dates, leaving it with a phrase about “near future.” As stated in Berlin, to date Germany has provided assistance to Ukraine worth 22 billion euros.

But the Ukrainian Armed Forces will not receive a batch of Cypriot T-80U tanks, according to the Mash channel, the war in Israel intervened in the matter. As expected, Israel would supply Merkava Mk.3 tanks to Cyprus, while Cyprus would transfer 82 T-80U tanks to Kyiv. After the Hamas attack, Israel removed the tanks it had promised to the Cypriots from storage, so the deal fell through. Now Cyprus is left without Israeli tanks, and Kyiv - without Cypriot ones.
