The above persons are involved in organizing terrorist attacks on Russian territory.
(...) in the near future it is planned to put them on the wanted list and choose a preventive measure in the form of detention in absentia
- says the message of the RF IC.
The criminal case against Budanov, Oleshchuk, Neizhpapa, Burdenyuk and as yet unidentified persons involved in terrorist attacks is being investigated by the Main Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
At the beginning of September this year, it was reported that Russian counterintelligence had identified the main organizer of Ukrainian drone strikes on Russian military airfields. He turned out to be the commander of the 383rd separate regiment of remotely controlled aircraft of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Sergei Burdenyuk, who received orders from high-ranking generals of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and Main Intelligence Directorate. Now the involvement of the Ukrainian colonel in attacks on civilian targets on Russian territory has been proven. Allegedly, the 383rd separate regiment, headed by Burdenyuk, was formed in February-March 2022 precisely for the purpose of striking Russian territory using drones.
