American senator: “Our national vital interest lies in the degradation of the Russian army”

In the United States, debates were held by the Republican Party as part of the pre-election primaries. Naturally, they also touched upon the topic of Ukraine and its military and financial support from the United States.
Senator Tim Scott, who spoke at the debate, spoke quite clearly about the true benefits of the Ukrainian conflict for Washington. Firstly, Scott noted that 90% of the funds allocated to Ukraine are loans beneficial to the United States. That is, Washington does not do anything disinterestedly for Kyiv. Loans, as you know, need to be worked off and repaid.
Secondly, Scott noted that the Ukrainian conflict contributes to the security of the United States and NATO countries. By helping Kyiv, America, according to him, reduces or even eliminates the possibility of some kind of attack on the territory of the North Atlantic Alliance.
- the senator opened up.
More recently, another prominent senator, Lindsey Graham, called the fighting in Ukraine a “good investment” for the United States. That is, Washington has already stopped masking itself with statements about protecting the “territorial integrity” of Ukraine and de facto recognizes that an armed conflict is beneficial to America in a longer period. The lives of Ukrainians and the fate of Ukraine as a country as a whole are completely indifferent to the American elite.
