Marochko: The Ukrainian military deployed the Grad MLRS with Starlink equipment to the Donetsk direction

The Ukrainian military deployed the BM-21 Grad MLRS with Starlink equipment to the Donetsk direction in the Artemovsk area. The modernized installations entered service with the artillery units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine quite recently.

About this agency RIA News reported a military expert - retired Lieutenant Colonel of the People's Militia of the LPR Andrey Marochko.

He said that a Ukrainian rocket artillery division of the 53rd Mechanized Infantry Brigade had arrived in the Chasov Yar area near Artemovsk (Ukrainian name - Bakhmut). He is armed with new Grads on the chassis of Ural vehicles. The equipment was accompanied by militants of the extremist armed formation “Aidar” banned in Russia (banned in Russia).

A tablet for targeting calculations is installed in the car cabins

- said the officer.

He added that every vehicle in the division has Starlink equipment installed.

The appearance of modernized artillery near Donetsk should worry not only the Russian military, but also the civilians of Donbass. The fact is that the Ukrainian Armed Forces have been actively using Grad rocket launchers since 2014 to shell residential areas of settlements in the DPR and LPR, as well as the civilian infrastructure of the republics.

The Starlink satellite communications system is designed to provide broadband Internet access from anywhere on the planet. At the moment, it has at its disposal more than four thousand spacecraft launched into orbit.

Where did they get the new hail installations on the Ural chassis? Rosoboronexport recently sold it at an exhibition?

Is it possible to consider a country that supplies intelligence and directs missiles into Russian territory as an aggressor? I think yes ! At a minimum, shoot down attacks on infrastructure as a preventive measure. I’m talking about countries that don’t believe that Russia can respond.

Do we believe that there are some countries there?

You don't have to think. Soviet diplomats already thought about this topic when they voted for resolution 3314 of 1974. It clearly states what is considered aggression. I highly recommend checking it out.

I want to write something bad about the Nazis, but I can’t. More land for them - 2x2. It's a pity they desecrated our Ural. Work, Brothers! - So that hell seems like paradise to them.

    Somehow I remember FB...

What I mean is that the mattresses complained that they were jamming the Chimeras, so the accuracy is not in the arc, with Starlink it’s the same crap))) Here on the site there were such articles from them too. Not a panacea, just a cargo cult in shambles - indestructible

Among flyers, especially vertical ones, Garmin watches (series 5-7 Phoenixes and Foraners) with the ability to navigate and load a flight route, rather than paper maps and formulas, are now very popular. Naturally with the correct setting, that is, disabling their function as a transmitter, only as a receiver. For a year and a half of the war, they have been working, oddly enough, while the on-board equipment is going out due to electronic warfare.

You can’t jam it along the entire front line, only very important objects are covered.

As soon as they don’t mock Donetsk. That there is no commander to push Bandera’s followers back from the city?
Maybe because the Donetsk people are the most Russian of Russians? They don't give in to anyone. soldier

The modernized installations entered service with the artillery units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine quite recently.
This means they still have enough places where they can modernize, rivet something new, and repair. And these are all targets for our strikes and important targets.

Any garage can be upgraded. Are you proposing to bomb every large private garage?

Ideally, you can bomb everything that moves...With a consistent forward movement...And you need to start from the borders of Ukrainian territories...You can from the Western ones.

Do you know what surprised me most when the stories of Leningrad siege survivors began to be published? Not only about hunger and 125g. of bread..
The children went to school....!!!, schools were open!!!! And also, the city’s water supply and sewage system did not work... And all the feces, at best, were taken out into the yard, and those who were weak and lived on the upper floors were poured out the window or onto the landing. That's why all the entrances (front doors in St. Petersburg) were overgrown with mountains of frozen crap in winter. And the city lived and produced equipment for the front.
What I mean is that Ukraine is not at all under blockade and where do such naive ideas come from that it has nowhere and nothing to produce products for the front.

Why is Starlink needed on the Grad? In my opinion, it is not really needed there, plus there is a high risk of damage when shooting or even moving. And only the SOB or battalion commander needs it, who will transfer data to the machine in the traditional way

The Armed Forces of Ukraine are dispersing their forces as much as possible and individual installations are now actually operating independently. Accordingly, each one needs communication with the artillery gunner.

Actually, “Starlink” is a connection. Those. through it they can receive a command to leave and coordinates, as well as operational changes regarding the target and other tasks. It's something like a radio station. I don’t think that the MLRS itself is guided by commands from the control center. You can get your coordinates through the navigator. It's elementary. Calculating shooting on a tablet? So, all this has been done for a long time even on a home tablet through the appropriate programs. Well, aiming is still done manually, like everyone else. Well, there is no way to adapt the GRAD so that it aims itself. It will be a completely different car. Maybe smart missiles have appeared that fly according to GPS, but that’s another matter.
