Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Danilov announced the alleged transfer of American tanks to Kyiv in the “near future”
American Tanks Abrams, promised to Kyiv by the United States, will soon arrive on the territory of Ukraine. This statement was made by the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Alexey Danilov.
The head of the National Security Council of Ukraine was asked to comment on the information that had appeared about alleged delays in the supply of American tanks, to which Danilov replied that they would arrive “in the near future” and there would be much more than the promised ten. The NSDC Secretary did not provide any other details.
- he said.
Previously, the United States announced that the first batch of M1 Abrams tanks would arrive in Ukraine in mid-September, but just a few days ago information appeared that the Americans had pushed back the delivery date by “several weeks.” As stated by Martin O'Donnell, a representative of the US Army Command in Europe and Africa, this was done allegedly at the request of Ukraine itself, which wants to receive all the tanks at once, and not in separate batches.
Now Kyiv will wait for the completion of the re-equipment of all tanks located in Germany. Because the Americans are afraid that their technology will fall into the hands of the Russian or Chinese military, all “secret” equipment is removed from the tanks. In essence, Ukraine will receive ordinary tanks with expensive maintenance. In the meantime, the American Abrams has not reached Ukraine and is unlikely to reach the front before the end of the counteroffensive. This means that it will remain “the best in the world” for some time.
