Advisor to the head of the DPR: The Russian military deliberately hunted for the first destroyed British Challenger 2 tank

The emergence of the British tanks Challenger 2 on the line of combat contact led to the Russian military hunting them. Advisor to the head of the DPR Yan Gagin spoke about this.

British tanks were in the rear for a very long time along with the 82nd Air Assault Brigade, which is part of the strategic reserve of the Ukrainian Armed Forces. But after the brigade was transferred to the Zaporozhye direction, the Challenger 2 also got to the front line with it. And although these tanks did not attack Russian positions, being at a considerable distance from them, the Russian Armed Forces fighters hunted them.

Ours purposefully hunted for the first destroyed British tank; reconnaissance had previously identified all the places where it appeared and moved, after which it was ambushed. Despite the fact that the tank was traveling with an armored escort group, it was successfully “surrounded” by hitting it with a missile from the Kornet anti-tank system. The damaged tank was completely burned out, leaving only scrap metal.

I believe that this is the fate of all the so-called foreign cars that Ukraine will receive and has already received from its owners from NATO. They will be hunted

- leads RIA News Gagin's words.

The defeat of the first British Challenger 2 tank became known on September 5; it was knocked out on the Rabotino-Verbovoye line, where the enemy concentrated significant forces from the strategic reserve. The UK acknowledged the loss of the tank, saying that this was the first confirmed defeat of the Challenger 2 in combat in almost 30 years. While the loss of the first tank was being discussed in London, the Russian military destroyed the second Challenger 2, and in the same place.

Previously, Britain refused to send Ukraine new tanks to replace the destroyed ones, and nothing has been heard about the second promised batch of 14 tanks.

If all 20 are burned, that will be wonderful. They burned two - good, but not enough.

PS The second batch will be sent anyway, sooner or later, the United States will put pressure and send it.

The donkey cried, but ate the cactus. They all eat cactus there, and they also constantly sit on the hedgehog.

They were needed only to lift the spirit! Now, when they burn more easily than leopards, the effect is the opposite. Zhdems Abramov. Until we shoot, we won’t know with what kind of flame they burn.

And where did 20 come from, if it was stated that they would supply 28, but so far they have delivered 14, nothing is known about other deliveries yet. Or did I miss something?

In general, it would be nice to capture it intact or slightly damaged, which is of course unlikely, but very desirable.

the tank came with an armored security group
Wow, how they take care of British equipment, that they allocate a separate armored group for protection. Is this how they will guard each of the remaining 12? Who will fight then?

The name Challenger is bad, it’s karma. The Americans also had a national tragedy with Challenger, but they felt sorry for them.
