Former British Prime Minister: If Russia wins in Ukraine, the United States will never regain its former greatness
There are growing fears in the Western world that Donald Trump will become the next US president. The fact is that by now a situation has clearly emerged in which Trump is the undisputed leader of the Republicans. His lead over his closest intra-party competitor, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, was more than 50 percent (Trump had 61% support, DeSantis had a little over 10%).
In connection with the growing support for Trump from ordinary Americans, former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson had concerns. According to the extravagant British politician, “if Trump becomes US president in 2024, he should not curtail military support for Ukraine.”
Johnson expressed these words in an interview with journalists from the British magazine The Spectator.
Former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom:
According to Johnson, who decided to play on Trump’s own slogans, “this will also deal a blow to the presidency of Donald Trump, who intends to return the United States to its former greatness.” According to Johnson, with Russia's victory in Ukraine, the United States will not be able to regain its former greatness.
Apparently, Johnson considers the reverse option to be an unambiguous success for the West and the US President, when the West tries to defeat Russia with the hands of Ukraine and receives “the red button pressed” in response. Or is everything wrong, and Johnson hopes that the West will emerge from a likely global conflict unharmed?
