Pashinyan announced the alleged failure of the Russian peacekeeping mission in Nagorno-Karabakh

The anti-Russian rhetoric of the Armenian Prime Minister is gaining momentum every day, this time Pashinyan announced the allegedly failed Russian peacekeeping mission in Nagorno-Karabakh. This statement was made in an interview with Politico.

In a conversation with journalists from an American publication, the Armenian prime minister criticized the actions of Russian peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh, saying that they failed in their mission. According to him, the unrecognized republic was the zone of responsibility of Russia, but Moscow allowed the closure of the Lachin corridor, after which the situation sharply worsened, the region fell into a blockade.

Since there are problems with closing the Lachin corridor, the Russian peacekeepers failed in their task

- declared Pashinyan.

At the same time, he admitted that if there were no Russian units in Nagorno-Karabakh, the situation could have been even worse.

Lately, Pashinyan, in various interviews with the Western press, has criticized Russia and its actions in the South Caucasus, trying to shift responsibility for what is happening in Nagorno-Karabakh onto Moscow. However, as the Russian president stated, the Armenian authorities are to blame for the current situation, who actually recognized the sovereignty of Azerbaijan over the territory of the unrecognized republic. And this was the decision of Armenia, but not Russia.

At the end of May this year, Pashinyan personally stated that Armenia recognizes the sovereignty of Azerbaijan along with the territory of Karabakh, on a total area of 86,6 thousand square kilometers. What claims can there be against Russia when the Armenian government itself surrendered Karabakh along with the entire population living there. Now Pashinyan is trying to cover his rear by blaming everything on Russia.

Pashinyan seems to have felt better and his feathers are fluffing up again. At the end of the confrontation and the loss of the remnants of Karabakh, he will move to America, and where should the rest of the Armenians go? Sochi is not made of rubber, and Uncle Ashot will not feed everyone.

The joke is that he can’t go to the USA - the Armenian diaspora there is about 3 million. If Azerbaijan starts slaughtering Armenians, then they can easily kill him...

Since when did Armenia become the historical land of nomads from Central Asia?? Turkic nomads (the name “Azerbaijani people” was given to them by Stalin only in the early 30s...before that they were
Caucasian Tatars....And Azerbaijan itself arose ONLY in 1918...), who only 600 years ago migrated from Altai and through the North of Iran (sowing death and destruction wherever they climbed with a scimitar...)...

Azerbaijan feels its complete impunity - Aleksey Anpilogov

Russian political scientist Alexey Anpilogov commented on the aggravation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.

“Why is Azerbaijan now trying to get away from those negotiations that began on the status of this field after the end of the last Karabakh war and is trying to solve it all by military means? It should be understood that the Sotk deposit is quite interestingly located, i.e. about 30% of the deposit is located on the territory of Armenia and another 70% on the territory of the Kelbajar region of Azerbaijan. The Azerbaijani Armed Forces reached the internationally recognized borders of Armenia, but in fact did not start delimiting the border according to Soviet cartography, and there was such a division according to the field.

Azerbaijan is not interested in making a civilized division of this field and exploiting its own, more significant part of the field. Apparently, the Azerbaijani leadership has taken a course to revise the internationally recognized borders of Armenia. For Azerbaijan, the possession of such a deposit is also of enormous interest,”
          thinks a political scientist.

According to Anpilogov, the conflict situation has every chance of spreading to Artsakh and other sections of the border with Armenia.

“From my point of view, Azerbaijan now feels complete impunity in the issue of bilateral relations and Baku has no brakes that could bring the situation around the Sotskoye field to some kind of civilized framework.

We see that Baku has set a course for a military resolution of the conflict, which indicates that we will most likely observe a similar picture for Artsakh and for other disputed sections of the Azerbaijani-Armenian border, since Baku simply does not have international external brakes now,” believes expert.

Baku’s position is absolutely hypocritical and cannibalistic - Alexey Anpilogov

Russian political scientist Alexey Anpilogov commented to Alpha News (https://youtu.be/6Wqq34bF1s8) on the position of Azerbaijan, which is detaining the humanitarian cargo of the Russian International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Artsakh.

“Azerbaijan is now playing a shameful double game, and, on the one hand, statements are almost at the level of presidential aide Hikmet Hajiyev, who stated that an allegedly agreement in principle had been reached on the simultaneous unblocking of the Lachin corridor and the road to Agdam, but at the same time accused Artsakh authorities are that it is the Artsakh side that refuses this kind of agreement. It’s the same as extending a stick to a drowning person, but at the moment when he reaches out for this stick, he immediately pulls it back and says that it is himself doesn't want to be saved.

We all understand perfectly well that the humanitarian crisis has been developing in Artsakh for months, and this is the position of official Baku, that the drowning person himself does not want to be saved, it is, of course, absolutely hypocritical and cannibalistic,” Anpilogov said.

The expert notes that the goodwill of the Armenian side was not perceived by the Azerbaijani side as a step towards a constructive solution to the situation.
“At the same time, it is worth understanding that the Russian cargo that was supposed to be sent along the Agdam-Askeran road in the direction of Stepanakert is the cargo of the Russian Red Cross, i.e. it is an absolutely humanitarian cargo that is designed to save the unbearable situation that has developed on the territory of Nagorno-Karabakh. Moreover, the Armenian side agreed that this cargo should follow the road through Agdam, which is perceived as a certain concession to the Azerbaijani side. But this concession was not accepted as an act of goodwill, but rather was regarded as an act of weakness. And therefore, Baku now, verbally recognizing both the humanitarian crisis and the importance of unblocking transport corridors, continues the blockade of Artsakh and considers the humanitarian crisis as a lever of pressure on Stepanakert and partly on Yerevan in order to close the issue of Armenian Artsakh in the wording that Baku needs. there is complete subordination of the Armenian de facto autonomy to the interests of official Baku,” the political scientist believes.

According to Alexey Anpilogov, all actions of official Baku are nothing more than an attempt to influence Artsakh in order to stop the desire of the local population for independence.
“The most likely is the continuation of such a policy of extending and pulling a lifeline in order to keep the humanitarian crisis in Artsakh completely unresolved, but on the other hand, not to allow the presence of international observers, any resonance in relation to the fate of the Artsakh Armenians, i.e. it is possible at some stage, now cargo will again be allowed through, after which the corridors will again be blocked. And this is the policy - not to let it drown on the one hand, and on the other to keep Artsakh on a starvation diet - this will be the position of Baku, which, in its opinion, should pacify any attempts to autonomize the Armenian population of Artsakh,” concluded Anpilogov.

Somehow it was forgotten that on October 21, 2021, the Kars Treaty expired. Now Russia and Turkey can denounce it unilaterally, and Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan, which enjoy the status of one party in the document, do not have the right to withdraw from the Kars Treaty separately.

The blockade of Artsakh by Azerbaijan contains signs of genocide - Bob Menendez

The head of the US Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, Bob Menende, stressed at a Senate meeting that the Azerbaijani blockade of Artsakh contains all the signs of genocide.

The senator called for sanctions against the Aliyev regime for its war crimes and ethnic cleansing.

Menendez presented photographs of the first victim of the famine in Artsakh and emphasized that the Azerbaijani regime is committing genocide against the Armenians of Nagorno-Karabakh.

“The Aliyev government in Azerbaijan is conducting a campaign of terrible violence containing all the hallmarks of genocide against the Armenians of Artsakh. They purposefully and maliciously blocked about 120 Armenian Christians in the mountains of Karabakh. Aliyev and his regime are trying to starve these people, forcing them to die or be subjected to political subjugation,” Menendez emphasized, recalling that the only road connecting Artsakh with Armenia has been closed since December last year.

The senator presented in detail the difficult humanitarian situation that has developed in Nagorno-Karabakh over the past 9 months, due to which the number of deaths from malnutrition has increased.

“Right now the US is failing. The US is not meeting humanitarian needs and is not putting enough public pressure on Aliyev to stop the campaign of ethnic cleansing,” the politician said, calling on the administration of US President Joe Biden to stop all security assistance to Azerbaijan.

Menendez called for a change in approach and not only to support negotiations between Armenia and Azerbaijan, but also to act as a mediator in concluding an agreement between the parties.

“I am confident that the United States can and must play an active role in resolving this conflict,” he said.

The senator is also convinced that the organizers of this campaign of ethnic cleansing, including Ilham Aliyev, must be held accountable for their crimes.

Menendez believes the EU should also take steps to resolve this situation. He recalled the words of the head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell, about concern about the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh.

“I hope that these words will be accompanied by actions. Instead of receiving Azerbaijani gas and representing the country as, quote, 'an important partner in the energy sector,' they should also apply pressure to end the blockade," Menendez said.

The senator emphasized that the world now knows about Aliyev's genocidal intentions and should not allow him to succeed in destroying this Armenian community. He added that the opening of the Aghdam road is not an alternative to the opening of the Lachin corridor.

Menendez promised that he would do everything to ensure that the perpetrators of this brutal campaign against the Armenians paid for it and were brought to justice.

The very fact of concern of the two Turkish presidents suggests that developments in heroic Artsakh are finally moving in line with Armenian interests

AN INTERESTING PICTURE IS EMERGING in terms of statements by external forces about “non-recognition of the election results.” In addition, of course, to Azerbaijan and Turkey, statements were made by Ukraine, Great Britain, Moldova, Pakistan and Georgia. At the same time, there was no official message from London; they limited themselves to just a post on the social network of their ambassador to Azerbaijan.

But the statement of the European Union turned out to be quite ambiguous. Brussels noted that “they do not recognize the presidential elections in Nagorno-Karabakh, as well as the constitutional and legal framework in which they were held.” At the same time, the EU believes that it is important for the Karabakh Armenians to consolidate “around the actual leadership, which is capable and willing engage in results-oriented discussions with Baku.”

An important aspect is that so far, as of the morning of September 11, the three co-chairing countries of the Minsk Group, still playing first fiddles in the context of the Artsakh issue, have not spoken out in any way. Moscow, Paris and Washington are silent. Moreover, during his press conference in New Delhi, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov did not say a word about the elections, concentrating exclusively on sharp criticism of the Armenian authorities. This allows us to assume with a high degree of probability that Russia is not going to comment in any way on the change of power in Artsakh, which, presumably, occurred not without its knowledge, at a minimum. Which is quite natural in light of the presence of a peacekeeping contingent there.

But Aliyev and Erdogan began to fuss with might and main. Baku never tires of diligently thanking those who spoke out in favor of the “tertiary integrity” of Azerbaijan, and they are certainly working intensively to increase the currently meager list. This cannot be ruled out, but one thing is certain: such statements, against the background of what Baku is doing in Artsakh, can definitely be qualified as the highest degree of cynicism and actual support for the genocidal policy of Azerbaijan.

That is, the attitude towards the elections in Artsakh has become a concrete litmus test of a country’s commitment to the norms of international law and the values of humanism and morality.

AGAINST THIS BACKGROUND, ERDOGAN DECIDED TO OPENLY ENTER THE GAME - at the request of his younger brother, who was clearly concerned about the change of power in Artsakh and understood that his accomplice Pashinyan was losing control over Stepanakert. After a telephone conversation with Aliyev, the Turkish President said that he would hold talks with Pashinyan on Monday. “The steps taken in Karabakh are wrong. They are unacceptable. We do not look at all this positively,” Erdogan said. Who would doubt that!

Finally, the very fact of such concern of the two Turkish presidents suggests that developments in heroic Artsakh are finally going in the absolutely right direction - in line with Armenian interests, and can give the final impetus to similar processes in Armenia.

But Pashinyan did not dare to congratulate the new president of the Republic of Artsakh, lowering the bar of his own bottom even lower. And is it necessary? This guy will ruin everything he touches, even verbally, so it’s better to remain silent. Moreover, today he will have a difficult conversation and a clear scolding from the owner.”

State Duma deputy Konstantin Zatulin called for unblocking the Lachin corridor

To avoid war in Transcaucasia, it is necessary to unblock the Lachin corridor, this was the opinion shared by the first deputy chairman of the Committee on CIS Affairs, Konstantin Zatulin. He called the Kremlin’s statement about “analysis and monitoring of the situation” after Armenia’s refusal to conduct CSTO exercises with Russia “very weak.” Zatulin noted that Moscow should act more decisively in this matter, since the region “stands on the verge of a new war.”
“I don’t see the point in non-interference in the internal affairs of Armenia, which was observed previously. Due to the fear of disrupting the status quo after the 2020 war, we are now on the verge of a new war. I believe that the Lachin corridor should be unblocked. There is no longer a question of which side we support, we stand for justice,” Zatulin said.
The deputy recalled that Russia has taken on the peacekeeping mission.
“Without special status, I don’t believe in guarantees for the population, and Azerbaijan is not going to give it, because it is important for them to cleanse this territory and either expel or assimilate the Armenian population. Does this coincide with our interests? I’m sure no, which means some action needs to be taken,” he added.

Why did the struggle of the Artsakh Armenians delight the commander of the troops of the Russian Empire?

An important center of the Armenian liberation movement of the 1720s was Artsakh, where five Armenian feudal principalities-melikdoms (Gulistan, Jraberd, Khachen, Varanda and Dizak) survived.

Back in 1718-1720. In order to resist external enemies, the Armenian meliks of Artsakh organized fortified military camps called sighnaghs. Military forces were formed in them. The armed forces of Artsakh were led initially by the Gandzasar Catholicos Yesai Asan-Jalalyan, and later by Melik Avan Yuzbashi. Having established strong ties and cooperation with the Georgian king Vakhtang VI, who stood at the head of the Georgian liberation movement, and inspired by the promises of Peter I, the Artsakh people in 1722 rebelled against the Persian khans and declared their country independent. In 1722-1724. The rebels won brilliant victories in a number of battles. During these same years, they several times provided armed assistance to David Beg, who was fighting in Syunik.

Beginning in 1725, the Armenians of Artsakh fought stubborn battles with the invading Turkish invaders. At the beginning of 1725 Ottoman troops went on the offensive and captured many villages. However, on March 1 of the same year, the rebel peasants almost completely destroyed the Turkish military unit in one night and captured a large amount of weapons and ammunition.

In November 1726, the Turkish pashas launched a new offensive. The Sighnahi troops and the peasantry offered heroic resistance to them. Although the Turks had about 40.000 soldiers, the Artsakh people, in a fierce battle that lasted eight days, inflicted a heavy blow on the enemy and forced him to retreat. The Ottoman troops were also defeated in July 1727...

Tsarist General Vasily Dolgorukov, who at that time was the commander-in-chief of the Tsarist troops in the Caucasus and followed the events, wrote in one of his reports to the Russian court: “Only God protects the Armenians, otherwise it is unclear how they can resist such a powerful enemy.”

Nagorno-Karabakh is the most pro-Russian region, which has always played a colossal role in ensuring the security of both the Russian Empire and the Soviet Union. It was this region that gave a galaxy of outstanding generals of the Russian Empire and the Soviet Union.

To lose Nagorno-Karabakh means to lose a region that has given birth to a galaxy of outstanding statesmen. The loss of Nagorno-Karabakh will result in a loss of Russia’s authority in the post-Soviet space.

And now, when the region is in distress, maybe it’s time for Moscow to remember the importance of the region, especially since this coincides with its interests?

        Konstantin Zatulin
First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Relations with Compatriots

◾️I do not suffer from any Azerbaijanophobia
◾️Azerbaijan is in a hurry to realize its interests to the maximum, they are interested in the territory but not in people, they are going to cancel Nagorno-Karabakh.
◾️They deny the existence of Karabakh as such, destroy all memory and the very term Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, which is firmly included in all UN documents, any others - as if this never happened.
◾️ The current government of Armenia has signed that it considers Karabakh an internal matter of Azerbaijan
◾️ Demanding people to leave the places where not only their fathers but also their grandfathers lived, historical monuments that your pseudo-scientists declare not Armenian - Gandzasar, Dadivank, Amaras and so on - this is a lie and any historian understands this
◾️ Azerbaijanis, Turks could not appear before the collapse of the Turkic Khaganate in Altai, before that there were no Turks in Turkey and there was a different population in Azerbaijan. Armenians lived in this territory long before the 6th century AD, during the time of Alexander the Great they lived there (4th century BC).
◾️ The demands to leave their places are a somewhat veiled softened form of the same demands that the Young Turks implemented at the beginning of the 20th century by deporting hundreds of thousands of Armenians from their homes in territories that bear traces of a permanent Armenian presence, autochthonous, so how can I relate to this. ..

“Turkish tribes appeared in the 10th century and reached the territory of historical Armenia in the 11th century. Armenians have lived on this land since the 15th century BC. That is, the Armenians lived on these lands for about 2500 years before the Turkish invasion. By the way, the first Armenian kingdom of Ararat arose in the 1800th century BC. And the Turkish state - 20 years after that. The Azerbaijani state was created by the Turks in the 4500th century. Now can you imagine how a nation that has lived on these lands for XNUMX years should give way to a country that has existed for a century?”

Azerbaijan intends to wipe Artsakh off the face of the earth

Opinion of Russian military expert Alexey Leonkov on the recent abduction of three Armenians in the Lachin corridor.

Leonkov says that Azerbaijan has long been pursuing an occupation policy towards Artsakh, not recognizing the universal human rights of its residents as set out in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. This is expressed in a food blockade, the expert points out, and this is arbitrariness when a person is seized without trial and then a crime is invented for him, according to which he is convicted.

Azerbaijan is demonstrating its intentions to wipe out the people of Artsakh from the earth, persecuting them because they speak a different language, profess a different faith, and want to defend their homes, their national interests.

The UN Declaration of Human Rights protects this kind of wishes of nations and peoples, and the population of Artsakh has the right to appeal to the UN that in fact a hidden genocide is being carried out against them, not only on a national basis, but also on a religious basis, Leonkov points out.
Everything that Azerbaijan is doing now actually borders on the concept of “crime”, which should be prosecuted under international law. Therefore, citizens of Artsakh must still contact all international organizations that defend this,” the expert emphasized.

If Yerevan had pursued its policy more decisively, much could have been prevented - Stanislav Tarasov

Political scientist Stanislav Tarasov commented on the situation with the abduction of three Armenians, football players of a local sports club, in the Lachin corridor.

“This is some kind of dark story, some forbidden tricks. Why are people being kidnapped? It creates a stir, creates motivation for widespread action,” the expert said.

According to Tarasov, some third force may be behind Azerbaijan’s actions, since Baku itself does not benefit from the political consequences of these abductions.

“Azerbaijan understands very well that the Armenian side is already appealing to the Security Council (UN), they are internationalizing the Karabakh problem, and Azerbaijan is no longer able to convert its victory in the Second Karabakh War into a chamber version. They had a chance to quietly reach an agreement with Pashinyan in the presence of some intermediaries. It doesn’t work out, there are scandals, his hands are shackled to unleash a power scenario and other scenarios to realize his plans. Therefore, in this context, kidnappings are some kind of provocation, it is unclear who benefits from it,” the political scientist recalled.

At the same time, the expert believes that if the Armenian authorities had pursued a more decisive policy, perhaps something could have been prevented. However, he noted that official Yerevan is behaving duplicitously, has turned its back on Russia and has set a course for cooperation with the West. “Macron and Biden are important for Yerevan now. These are his clients. Putin’s calls cannot be resolved in any way. Well, now the Armenians must go in their own circle through the West. They want this - let them pass,” Tarasov said.

The Armenia bloc called on the Russian authorities to remain faithful to their historical obligations

The politician is convinced that it is almost impossible to build such a security architecture without Russia. Moreover, any narrative that promotes the opposite idea is a consequence of political myopia and a simple gamble.
At the same time, Ohanyan called Russia’s “neutral-constructive” mediation policy in the region incomprehensible and unacceptable.
At the same time, he emphasized that anti-Russian manipulations in social and political processes will not contribute to solving security problems.
“The Armenian people received heavy and fateful blows. At the same time, Armenia itself has become a theater in which the interests of global geopolitical forces collide. Creating the preconditions for a clash between these centers or deepening the confrontation between them is disastrous for the country,” the oppositionist said.
In the current realities, he called on the Armenian authorities to return to protecting the rights of Artsakh Armenians. According to the parliamentarian, it is necessary to stop the spread of anti-Russian sentiments in the region.
“We must be prepared to independently solve the problems facing him, without shifting responsibility to others. We call on the Russian authorities to remain faithful to their historical obligations. In particular, to ensure security in the region. It is necessary to take active and effective steps to ensure unimpeded two-way movement of people and goods through the Kashatagh (Lachin - ed.) corridor,” the former defense minister said.

There are two interests in the escalation in Transcaucasia - the USA and Great Britain: Alexey Leonkov

Russian military expert Alexey Leonkov @apleonkov commented to Alpha News on the escalation of tension on the border of Armenia and Artsakh with Azerbaijan.

“The situation around Armenia and Artsakh is developing in a difficult way. It is clear that there is a certain tension and escalation, and here everything does not depend on the position of Azerbaijan, because everyone understands that its position is based on how those who are trying to manage the escalation will look at it in Transcaucasia.

There are two such interested parties - the USA and Great Britain, who are now suffering a clear defeat in the (Northern Military District) and want to create a new “Second Front” in Transcaucasia.

What is happening in Armenia is a clear sign of this. Those. any provocation can become a Casus belli, but it is clear that the “face” command will be given only when it is considered necessary. Those. Azerbaijan will only be able to go and create something there - a conflict or shelling, when this is agreed upon with those actors who are trying to oust Russia from Transcaucasia," Leonkov said.

A military expert gave a forecast on the actions of official Moscow if Azerbaijan decides to invade Artsakh.

"What will Russia do in this case? The peacekeepers in Stepanakert - we need to remember our peacekeepers in South Ossetia. When hostilities began against the Ossetians, that same “War of the Three Eights” (08.08.2008), Russia sent in troops not only to protect its peacekeepers, but also in order to save the local population from genocide. That is, it is quite possible to repeat the same scenario in Artsakh,” Leonkov believes.

"I think that Russia is now working through two scenarios. The first is to prevent this escalation. The second is how it will act taking into account what happened during the 44-day war. And I think that this scenario will be different from that what happened in 2020,” summed up Alexey Leonkov.

The Russian government pursues an official policy of non-interference in the internal affairs of even enemy states, not to mention friendly ones. Moreover, the CSTO agreement directly prohibits even simple reconnaissance.
Therefore, there can be no talk of Russia’s influence on the politics of its neighbors; there are simply no tools and resources. Only the USSR could influence other countries by supporting friendly parties and media, allocate huge amounts of money for this, have a powerful foreign intelligence service and maintain spy networks. Now the countries supporting Russia are acting solely due to their own geopolitical and economic interests.

It is not Russia that should be “friends” with Armenia, Moldova or Turkmenistan. They should try to make Russia become friends with them. Because Russia can do without them. But they are without it - a big question.

Who personally is stopping you from doing this yourself?
No, they will find protection and support in other blocks.

This is what they are doing, simultaneously throwing mud and continuing to take advantage of the privileges of our allies. In addition, an interesting situation arises with “other blocks”. They have a conflict with an ally of a NATO member, but they are calling on NATO to come to their defense. That is, this conflict turns out to be created by them themselves under the leadership of NATO in order to drag Russia into it, and in reality they could always stop it, since if NATO can stop it, then it will be an artificially created conflict.
Why have we been buying cane sugar from Cuba for so many years?

Why didn't you like cane sugar? laughing
This was an imitation of trade relations and it was not a fact that it was beneficial to both parties. Some helped the communist revolution on the island of freedom while trying to kick their opponent, others needed to sell the goods they had in abundance. But now this does not prevent Cuba from kicking Russia when Russia suddenly wants to use its past merits.
Or why did they fight in Afghanistan for 10 years?

Probably so that later they will flood our territory with drugs? And many functionaries of what was then Afghanistan are now making good attempts to kick Russia while holding positions in the former republics.

This is what you wrote and is the essence of why there are no allies in the Russian Federation. Let's go through your theses, the Armenians are so kind, but when voting takes place at the UN, the Armenians vote for the Russian Federation. Oh, that doesn’t count. It’s generally better for Cuba to keep quiet in Angola and Ethiopia, who fought the Cubans, but the ships and planes were not on combat duty from the ports and areodromes of these countries of the USSR Navy and Air Force. And they controlled two oceans, from where a potential enemy could strike. So this trifle doesn’t count, Russia’s allies, in your opinion, should defend only the interests of the Russian Federation and their own, the Great Russians have nothing to think about allies anyway, they are all either traitors or beggars.

In fact, the actions of the peacekeepers are not entirely clear in principle. We regularly hear both sides blaming each other for provocations and each saying that the other side is to blame for each specific situation.
So, what is the role of peacekeepers in this process? Stand as a living wall between the sides, preventing them from getting closer? Call each side calling for a ceasefire? We are not considering possible humanitarian assistance. From my point of view, this is not enough. Peacekeepers are like a judge at a sports competition.
Such a judge tells everyone and his word the law, who violated what. This is the minimum. I have never heard the peacekeepers themselves assess the situation from the point of view of “who started first” and “what exactly this or that side did.”
In a situation where each side accuses the other, the “judicial” decision of the peacekeepers, announced publicly, could be a constructive and deterrent factor, if not stopping, then containing the conflict.

February 2, 1923 Ataturk stated: “From now on, there are NO NATIONAL MINORITIES IN TURKEY - Turks, Greeks, Armenians, Jews, Chechens and all others are full citizens of our republic.”

Atatürk’s phrase became the slogan of Turkish nationalism: How happy is he who says: “I am a Turk!” (Ne mutlu Türküm diyene!) symbolizing the change in self-identification of the nation that previously called itself the Ottomans.
This saying is still written on walls, monuments, billboards and even on mountains.

Also the Izmir Congress of 1923. took the "Economic Pledge" on the principles of national unity and the prevention of class struggle. It says that “Turks love each other from the heart, without distinction of classes or beliefs.”
This was not just a beautiful slogan, it was a way of assimilation of the indigenous peoples of the region, a technology of Turkification.

During the years of the Young Turk Revolution, the main doctrine was Ottomanism - the desire to transform all inhabitants of the empire into a single nation. In essence, the talk was about the assimilation by the Turks of the rest of the peoples of the state.
Having encountered stubborn resistance to this policy, the Young Turks switched to the concept of “Pan-Turkism.”

IN INTERNAL POLITICS, PAN-TURKISM WAS AIMED AT THE ASSIMILIATION OF PEOPLES, AND IN EXTERNAL POLITICS, THE SUBMISSION OF OTHER TURKIC NATIONS TO THE DOMINANCE OF THE TURKS from the Bosphorus to the Altai (nothing has changed to this day).

One of the important points of Ataturk’s policy of Turkification of indigenous peoples was the reform on assigning surnames to Turkish citizens. And this was carried out by Kemal Ataturk not at all because it was customary in Europe. This was done with the aim of assimilating peoples and creating a Turkish nation.

The official list of recommended surnames mainly included Real Turk, Big Turk, and Severe Turk. It was in the same way that Western Armenians acquired Turkic roots in their surnames, which is why, for example, “Yerkatians” became “Demirchyans,” etc.

Ataturk needed to get rid of the Armenians, Greeks, and Kurds at any cost - and thus close the issue of national minorities. And the introduction of surnames under the guise of “one nation” and “advanced European experience” was as “humane” as possible, veiled and painless.
And no one will notice the “small” “BUT” of “progressive reforms” - surnames must have Turkish roots, because from now on, all citizens of the country are one people - Turks.

For the same purpose, a NEW CAPITAL was founded, and exactly where, according to ARCHAEOLOGICAL EXCAVATIONS, in the XNUMXth-XNUMXth centuries. BC. THERE WAS THE LEGENDARY HITTINE KINGDOM.

Already at the end of the 20s of the twentieth century. Ataturk, declaring that “the foundation of the Republic of Turkey is culture,” proposed the creation of a Hittite museum in Ankara, which outlined the continuity of the new Turkey in relation to ancient, almost mythological civilizations.

Historian Il.Vardin in 1930 very accurately noted that “the destruction of the peaceful Armenian population of Turkey was started during the war by the Young Turks, and completed by the Kemalists.”
      And this is not surprising.

After all, DURING THE YEARS OF THE YOUNG TURK COUP, M. KEMAL HAD NO FUNDAMENTAL POLITICAL DIFFERENCES WITH ITTIHAD.

The author of the book “The Last Disaster of Armenia,” published in 1921 in Istanbul, very accurately formulates the main idea of Ataturk’s policies and reforms:
“Old or new Turkey pursues one policy towards the Armenians: to destroy in order to stop their demand for rights.”

Former US Ambassador to Berlin Gerard, in a speech delivered at the end of 1919, recalled that Turkey’s main problem remained the elimination of the “Armenian obstacle” on the way to Turan.

      E. Ludshuveit notes that the Kemalists not only did not resolve the national issue, but also could not even to some extent smooth out its severity, THEY, IN CHAOVINISTIC POLICY, TOOK THE PATH OF EITHER FORCED ASSIMILATION OR BUTTERAL DESTRUCTION OF SURVIVING NATIONAL MINORITIES in Turkey.

As soon as the nationalists and their main headquarters settled in Ankara, they immediately “declared open the beginning of the hunt for Armenians”... which continues to this day, alas...
