Unknown war. Terror against terror
Here she is: Fanny Kaplan, who shot the leader of the world proletariat. And this is her Browning model 1900

Turn around in the march!
Verbal is not a place for slander.
Hush, speakers!
Your
word,
Comrade Mauser.

V. Mayakovsky “Left March”, 1918

Unknown Wars. The events of the hot summer of 1918, which were described in the previous material, smoothly flowed into an equally hot autumn. On July 7–8, immediately after the speech of the left Socialist Revolutionaries in Moscow, riots broke out against opponents of Soviet power in Rybinsk and other cities. It is clear that they were defeated and their participants were shot.

Death of representatives of aristocratic families

But then a conspiracy in Moscow was also discovered. Taking into account the fact that the republic was already surrounded by fronts, it was necessary to strengthen the rear. How could this be done, if even the rebels from the Left Socialist-Revolutionaries were treated quite gently by the victorious Bolsheviks, not as enemies, but as comrades in the struggle who had gone astray!

Map of fronts published in the newspaper Izvestia

Even then it was impossible to just go out onto the station platform. As is the case now...

Report of a conspiracy in Moscow

And here, as if by order, two very important events occur. The murder of Uritsky in St. Petersburg and the attempt on Lenin in Moscow.

Report on the murder of Uritsky

It is interesting that although news of this murder was received in Moscow, no additional measures were taken to ensure the safety of the same Lenin. Although it is logical that if the enemies started shooting, then one should be afraid of them.

So, the speeches of members of the Council of People's Commissars at rallies at factories, scheduled for 6 pm the day before, were not cancelled. So Lenin was supposed to speak at the same rally at the Michelson plant on August 30, 1918. And he arrived at the plant without security with only one driver, apparently relying on popular love. There was no security at the plant itself either - just come in if you are not too lazy!

"Izvestia" dated August 30. Details of the assassination attempt on Lenin

It was then that the Socialist-Revolutionary Fanny Kaplan reached him and fired three shots at the leader, with which Lenin was wounded. The terrorist was immediately detained, but she didn’t really try to escape.

It immediately became clear that at the age of 15, together with her lover, she accidentally detonated a bomb, which they planned to throw at one of the authorities. As a result, she almost lost her sight and ended up in hard labor, but then the revolution freed her.

By the way, none other than... the brother of the leader of the world proletariat, Dmitry Ulyanov, undertook to treat Fanny. Together they spent the romantic summer of 1917 in Crimea, and then she was treated at an eye clinic. That is, she had very poor eyesight, but she nevertheless managed to see Lenin.

“Everyone, everyone, everyone!”

For some time, Izvestia reported regularly on Lenin’s health. AND,
Of course, the conspiracy was liquidated again!

Then in Izvestia on September 3 the message appears:

“Yesterday, one of the workers who attended the meeting appeared at the Cheka, following an advertisement in the newspaper, and brought a revolver taken from Kaplan. There were three out of six unfired cartridges in the clip. By examining the revolver and the testimony of witnesses, it was possible to establish with accuracy that everything was produced by Comrade. Lenin three shots.”

But Lenin’s driver Gil testified that Kaplan threw a Browning at his feet. And he's in weapons I figured it out, and there was no way I could confuse the Browning with a revolver.

Kaplan was tried and executed for some reason so quickly that no one really knew anything about it. There would be no way to judge it publicly, in the presence of foreign journalists, in front of a massive, so to speak, gathering of people. After all, such a reason to reveal to the whole world the insidious plans of the enemies of the revolution, but no, for some reason nothing like that was done

White and red terror

But Lenin can be said to be exceptionally lucky: the bullets did not hit his vital organs, he received the halo of a martyr, and on absolutely legal grounds the mass red terror was immediately legitimized as a response to the terror of the whites. Although the same Kaplan had nothing to do with the white movement.

However, already on September 2, the All-Russian Central Executive Committee officially announced the beginning of the Red Terror. The protocol of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee prescribed: “Shoot all counter-revolutionaries. Give district residents the right to shoot on their own... Set up concentration camps in the districts... Take measures to prevent corpses from falling into unwanted hands. Responsible comrades of the Cheka and regional Chekas to be present at major executions. Instruct all district Chekas to deliver a draft resolution of the issue of corpses to the next meeting...”

In addition to this resolution, a decree of the Council of People's Commissars on the Red Terror of September 5, 1918 was also issued.

Red terror in Tambov

Red terror in Penza. It’s interesting that the newspaper writes a lot about fists. And they are organized, and armed, and at the same time “terrorized” by the authorities. When, I wonder, did they manage to appear in Russia in such numbers that they became a truly dangerous armed force?

Although Lenin’s wound seemed fatal to many. Moreover, the myth about shooting poisoned curare bullets with cross-shaped cuts spread, and he recovered surprisingly very quickly. Already on September 25, 1918, he left for Gorki, and then on October 14 he returned to Moscow and immediately became involved in political activities. And already on October 22, 1918, his public speech took place.

Naturally, hostage-taking became one of the forms of terror

It is clear that, just like the white and red terror, it had its own characteristics. Who was the “white terror” directed against? Against the top of the Bolshevik government? No, Lenin was shot by a revolutionary Socialist Revolutionary. And Uritsky was completely killed in Petrograd by Sergei Yesenin’s friend, the poet Leonid Kannegiser, who was not associated with any political movements at all.

The white terror was directed against those whom they could reach: commissars at the fronts, workers, rural poor from the poor committees. Even such a significant terrorist attack as the explosion in Leontyevsky Lane on September 25, 1919, which was aimed at destroying the leadership of the Moscow Committee of the RCP (b), was committed not by the White Guards, but by a group of anarchists.

Letter from a former officer. A request for a “word of forgiveness” from the government, otherwise it has become very scary to live like this...

Who was the Red Terror directed against?

And it was directed against the top of the old society, against all the “formers”: civil servants, retired officers, former bankers, entrepreneurs, “people of aristocratic families.” That is, all those who for some reason did not have time to leave or did not want to, but did not loudly support the Soviet government. He simply lived, and it was this “simply” that was now charged to these people as a crime.

They were the first to be locked up in concentration camps, taken hostage and shot. That is, the social layer of the most educated and intelligent part of society, which could to a certain extent resist Soviet ideology, understand what was happening and even explain it to people from the lower classes, was physically destroyed. It turns out that from the point of view of the revolution of the “grassroots” everything was done correctly.

In France, too, it was mainly nobles, bearers of a culture alien to the peasants, who were guillotined. But from the point of view of development prospects, with each such severed head and shot “former”, the country slowly but surely slid downwards in social terms!

Whose terror was more effective? Terror of the Whites or the Reds? And here there will be only one answer: of course, the Reds, because they won!

On September 10, our troops rushed into Kazan with a “stormy onslaught”...

The fact is that instead of these people, those who did not consider it reprehensible to spit on the floor, blew their nose with two fingers to the side, or even wiped their snot with their sleeve. Those who did not stand up when a woman entered the room, and certainly did not try to give her a chair, did not know foreign languages and did not play the piano. That is, the level of culture in the country was lowered as a result of the Red Terror in the most significant way.

It’s not for nothing that later we also needed a “cultural revolution” in order to at least somehow raise this… “population” to a more or less suitable level. Ostrovsky in “How the Steel Was Tempered” talks about how one of the young workers broke an expensive American drill, and Pavka Korchagin reprimands him for it.

Why was this? And the low level of culture is why.

Maria Spiridonova, well, the one who received a year in prison for participating in the July 6 rebellion, wrote an open letter to the Bolsheviks, where she was skeptical about the Red Terror, as the murder of “thousands of people” because, in her words, “injury to Lenin’s left forearm” .

But on August 31, 1918, the Central Committee of the PLSR issued a resolution endorsing terror “against all imperialists and henchmen of the bourgeoisie.” At the same time, in the same resolution Lenin is called a “compromiser” whose policy is “insufficiently revolutionary”:

The Chairman of the Council of People's Commissars, Lenin, was wounded by the servants of the bourgeois counter-revolution. We, who stand on the extreme left wing of revolutionary socialism, who consider terror one of the methods of struggle of the working masses, will fight with all our might against such methods when they are aimed at strangling the Russian revolution. The assassination attempt on Lenin was carried out on the right, by defenders of the bourgeois system, whom the revolution deprived of their former privileges and who want the destruction of the Soviet system and socialist reforms.

Lenin was not wounded because he capitulated and took the path of compromise. No, he is wounded by those for whom even his policy is a policy of extreme revolutionism. ...We believe that the uprising of millions of working people, although distorted by the conciliatory policies of the leaders, will not be stifled by the death of these leaders.

The assassination attempt on Lenin is one of these episodes of counter-revolutionary fall, and the working masses must respond to such attempts at counter-revolution with a counter-attack on the citadels of domestic and international capital...

Just a funny text, nothing to say!

Ukraine at that time provided flour. And this was very important!

Messages from the front of the First World War: from the Germans and from the French!

We need to remember a little about the military aspect of the events of those years.

The civil war could well be called the “war of armored trains.” They played such a big role in it. In previous materials, where we talked about the rebellion of the White Czechs, it was not said that their trains were also accompanied by armored trains and “armored” cars. It would be interesting to look at them, and today we have just such an opportunity.

Armored car of a Czechoslovak armored train (bepo) in Irkutsk

Armored Czechoslovakian railway carriage. 18.06.1918/XNUMX/XNUMX Troitsk

The armored carriage of another Czechoslovakian transport service

The OV steam locomotive, the legendary “sheep”, very often it was he who was shielded, but sometimes it wasn’t...

Here's another message. Already about white terror. Indicating who the whites terrorized: sailors, workers, Chinese, Latvians and Lithuanians. They are also people, and, of course, one feels sorry for them, but in social terms... “there are many of them”

Gold has been found, but there is not enough coal in America!

And here is what is written about the attempt on Lenin’s life in Wikipedia: in 1992, the Russian Prosecutor General’s Office began reviewing the criminal case of the attempt on Lenin’s life, since by this time many new circumstances had accumulated. And here is the conclusion: “The investigation was carried out superficially. Forensic and ballistic examinations were not carried out; witnesses and victims were not questioned; other investigative actions necessary for a full, comprehensive and objective investigation of the circumstances of the crime committed have not been carried out” - from the resolution to resume criminal case No. N-200 on charges of Fanny Kaplan.

One can, of course, say that all this was started by the damned liberals in order to denigrate “Grandfather Lenin.” However, there are indeed a lot of inconsistencies and questions in the Fanny Kaplan case. It was then and remains to this day!

And it may well be that all the events associated with this assassination attempt were nothing more than the so-called casus belli, the purpose of which was to create a situation of the need for the most drastic measures against the “overthrown classes.”

It’s in vain that you raised this topic now, Vyacheslav.
Both the Reds and the Whites were no less involved in the terror.
Tell us about the terror of the Kornilovites, Drozdovites, Annenkov, Kolchakites and many other White Guards... tell us about the Maikop massacre, the terror of the White Finns in Vyborg and about many other White Guards involved in numerous murders of people who do not share their political beliefs.
The details and details of this terror terrify normal people.
So the civil war is a misfortune and tragedy of the Russian people, who suffered numerous victims after WWII. request
The passionaries were destroyed, the most active citizens capable of creating for the good of their country and state... all their energy was directed towards terror and killing their own kind... all this is sad.

What do you mean why ? Whatever today’s “rednecks” even think to ask of today’s highly cultured “gentlemen” who ride on private planes to drink coffee in Nice and carry their dogs on them for treatment in Europe, while sick children are collecting money via SMS.

Well, capitalism also did not reign victoriously right away and not everywhere; how many restorations of the monarchy were there? Let's see how long the demand lasts
among “highly cultured” gentlemen in the present. The speed of social processes has increased incredibly and what previously required millennia now takes place in tens of years.

The Red Terror was by no means a spontaneous phenomenon as you are trying to imagine. The Red Terror was organized by the Bolshevik government on the basis of the well-developed theory of class struggle by the founders of Marxism-Leninism. This is a whole ideology. The whites had nothing like this. There is nothing even to compare here. The Bolsheviks first exterminated aristocrats and nobles based on the experience of the French Revolution, and then took on the peasants and Cossacks. Terror and violence against large sections of the country's population, regardless of their class and social affiliation, were elevated to the rank of state policy. In terms of the incredible number of deaths from communist terror, it surpassed the Jacobins, the Spanish Inquisition, and the terror of all reactions. The Bolshevik government expropriated everything Russian population, regardless of the size of the contribution, everything is cleaned up. It spared no one: neither workers, nor peasants, nor those who defended the fatherland with arms in hand. It was an open and brazen bandit action, directed against broad sections of the Russian population. The next step of the Soviet government was the introduction of surplus appropriation. The author of this criminal act, which led to a fratricidal civil war, was the same Lenin. On May 9, 1918, the All-Russian Central Executive Committee adopted the “Decree on granting the People’s Commissar of Food emergency powers to combat the rural bourgeoisie who are hiding grain reserves and speculating on them.”

The working peasantry was subjected to brutal terror: “...owners of grain who have surplus grain and do not take it to stations and places of collection and dumping are declared enemies of the people and are subject to imprisonment for a term of at least 10 years, confiscation of all property and expulsion forever from the community "

It was terror, to which the peasantry and Cossacks responded with massive uprisings. They were brutally suppressed. These large-scale terrorist actions were led by “fiery revolutionaries.” Neither Denikin nor Kolchak were involved in this.
Lenin dealt harshly with his political rivals. Having declared the cadets enemies of the people, the Bolsheviks began to physically exterminate them without trial or investigation. At the end of November 1917, the cadet party was beheaded; thousands of its Central Committee members were arrested and shot. Now it was the Social Revolutionaries' turn. They represented the majority in the Soviets. Lenin dissolved the Constituent Assembly, the majority of whose deputies were Social Revolutionaries. He understood perfectly well that he would not be able to stay in power otherwise. The shooting of peaceful demonstrators who spoke out in support of the Constituent Assembly on January 5, 1918 was a cynical act of the greatest political provocation.

Everything said is true. The scale of the Red Terror against the predominantly Russian population (which then made up about 80% of the empire's population) is simply incomparable in scale and cruelty compared to the White Terror. Those who justify the Red Terror are brainless idiots who do not know the history of real events. Let them at least read “The Red Terror through the eyes of eyewitnesses.” It describes only a small part of what was happening throughout the empire. I have highlighted only the pages of events in Kyiv in 1918. https://disk.yandex.ru/i/Xh0uxM72WU9b6A

Let's compare the consequences of the Red victory in 1917-1922 with the consequences of the White victory in 1990-1994. The number of Russians in Russia has probably decreased by 30 million. In Moscow now half of the children in schools are not Slavs. At one time, for the 50th anniversary of the October Revolution, the KGB conducted research on the extent of white terror in the Sverdlovsk region during the six months it was under white rule. Approximately 50 executed. Extrapolating to the entire territory of the country and during the civil war, the Kolchaks and Denikins would have executed approximately 000 million people. And another 5 million would have died of hunger when the Kolchaks began to export grain in exchange for luxury goods after their victory. Even now, Putin and Kadyrov, with their own lives under threat, have been unable to stop the supply of diesel fuel from Russia to the Armed Forces of Ukraine for almost 30 years. Russian oil workers managed to export a lot of oil to India, supposedly for free, and use the proceeds to pay for the supply of diesel fuel to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Now, through Turkey, they are trying to repeat such a scam with grain from Russia. The Turks should receive free grain and in return supply flour to Ukraine. Europe received free mineral fertilizers, sold them to Africa, and with the proceeds buys weapons and ammunition for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

What can you say about the terror against landowners in the summer of 1917? It was organized by Giz cells of Socialist Revolutionaries and anarchists throughout Russia. Lenin simply carried out the will of the majority of the Socialist Revolutionary Party when he dispersed the Constituent Assembly and the Provisional Government. Viktor Chernov recalls that the Provisional Government had a chance to stay in power if it recognized the legitimacy and powers of the Congress of Soviets of Peasant Deputies. Without the support of the Peasant Councils, the Bolsheviks would not have dared to take power and would not have been able to take it throughout the country in a week and then retain it. But the capitalist ministers decided to ignore the aspirations of the peasantry for free work on the land without effective managers, who were then called landowners and kulaks. Therefore, the Bolsheviks took power in Kazan earlier than in Moscow and Petrograd.

Try these fairy tales of the 90s for the empty-headed somewhere, in another place. People are no longer the stupid ones that they were then and believed in all the nonsense you described!! There is no ideology anywhere in “Capital” for the destruction of everyone and everything. Destruction there are classes of exploiters and estates. But this does not imply the destruction of people physically. And the violence that arose during the formation of Soviet power was a forced measure to resist the resistance of those who disagreed with this. Or do you think that after the October Revolution, all the former masters,, suddenly they categorically accepted the power of the Soviets. The power of all those whom they mercilessly exploited for hundreds of years. It’s strange and stupid to think like that. The resistance of the former masters began. And then what began began. With its positive and negative sides. The Soviet government did not have it, programs to destroy people on the basis of class. You are blatantly lying!! They blurted out about the food appropriation system here as an example. So the food appropriation system was introduced even under the Tsar. And what does the Bolsheviks have to do with it? I repeat. You are a liar!!

The revolution of 1917 had just begun “from above.” And it started out as BOURGEOISE. Lenin did not even hope for any revolution during his lifetime... And in 17 it exploded...
The ideologists and leaders of the revolutionary movement (and I will include everyone here, from tsarist politicians and generals to the creative intelligentsia and lawyers) are educated and intelligent people. And there is no need to compare today with the situation then. A person with a HIGHER education in those years was truly a unique specimen, because the main population of the Republic of Ingushetia was for the most part illiterate.

          A side note.
In our time, rich in social technologies, the higher stratum has consciously organized the population’s craving for its, the higher stratum’s, way of life, acquiring remarkable forms. In an era when the income gap between the poor and the rich has become so alarming that the world's upper stratum has become concerned about its own stability, a very original form of erasing the inequality between the poor and the rich has been proposed...

Guys, do you want to be like us? So, just a couple of trifles - imitate! Drugs, parties, allowing any outrages as a manifestation of absolute personal freedom and replacing critical thinking, forcing the presentation of serious political and economic demands from the lower stratum towards the higher one - why do you need to present anything to us? Breakup? What's the gap? Is happiness determined by how many billions you have in your bank account? Watch us and have fun like us! You deserve it, you can do it, you will succeed! The billion dollar bill has nothing to do with it!..
Ellochka the Ogre, as a pioneer of a new social movement, which had gone into the shadows under the blows of communist morality, but is now more alive than anyone else alive - she will help you!
And now one of the heirs to the English royal throne ostentatiously ends up in dirty stories with parties and drugs, then Hunter Biden, the son of the notorious Biden, also ostentatiously ends up in the same thing, then the heiress of the Hilton hotel empire is all in the same shit. Along the way, famous actors and actresses, rich, by the way, like Croesus, die from drug intoxication and ancient Roman excesses - and all this with zeal, never losing its intensity, is powerfully replicated by the reputable and yellow paper press and countless videos on all Internet resources ...
Listen, our poor friends! There is no income gap problem! She's gone! It's only in your heads! Everyone can afford a little of the drug, and if not, it’s not worth earning anything by being an “escort” or by very open prostitution - male and female. But then you will be able to have a complete blast with your friends at a party, and what difference does it make where it takes place - in a billionaire’s palace or in a small room in a Khrushchev house - the thrill of having a “break” in a poor house, or even on a bench in the park no less than that of the same Perris Hilton in her mansion - believe me!
What about junk and clothes? For what? Tattoos, only tattoos and maximum nudity! She equalizes the poor and the rich!
And now you read these lines:
A teacher was fired for lewd photos in the Tyumen region. But the girl was not upset. She stated that the school was promoted thanks to her, and her colleagues should have been glad that they had “a model to which half the city is not indifferent.”

Like this! Kind with healthy. The class gap is now being overcome not by the angry dispossessed masses of the population entering the square, but by a change in consciousness and ideas about life opportunities.
It turns out that Marx, Engels and Lenin are resting, and Stalin is nervously smoking his pipe on the sidelines?
Fanny Kaplan has now lost her purpose.

If Putin does not start artists, photographers and fashion models to return to the development of drone designs and their control systems, then the fate of Gaddafi, if not in the Russian-Ukrainian conflict, then in the Russian-Japanese or Russian-Finnish one, awaits him. The peasant made the revolution not because he lived badly, but because he considered such a life to be unfair. And the revolution took place in the summer of 1917 in the village when the landowners were expelled from it. Lenin simply arrested the Provisional Government when Kerensky refused to recognize as legitimate the Congress of Peasants' Deputies, which demanded legal recognition of the seizure of landowners' lands in favor of the peasants. The Bolsheviks spat on their program and simply carried out the orders of ordinary Socialist-Revolutionaries to their delegates, and the Socialist-Revolutionary Chernov did not dare to carry out the will of the majority of his party. Therefore, when he was expelled from the Constituent Assembly from the million-strong Socialist Revolutionary Party, there were not even 2000 active supporters capable of disarming the company of anarchists led by Anatoly Zheleznyakov.

If a worker or teacher becomes a prostitute, then they betray their class and move into the category of semi-criminal, semi-declassed parasitic elements on the body of the state. That is, there is an erosion of the state and its transformation into a criminal community. When the critical mass of such declassed elements exceeds a certain mass, the state will collapse. The USSR also collapsed when the black marketeers and resellers became richer than the engineers and designers. Under Stalin, designers were richer than workers and collective farmers; under Khrushchev, they received freedom from the arbitrariness of prosecutors and MGB officers. Therefore, both under Stalin and Khrushchev, the USSR was impregnable to the machinations of Allen Dulles and Churchill.

For different professions it is desirable to have different levels of literacy. Moreover, in Makhachkala, I discovered that the kids there, only with a school education, solve the mathematical problems necessary to work as a gypsum and water dispenser operator about 50 times faster than a university student from a purely Russian region. But if under the tsar education was difficult to access for many segments of the population for social or economic reasons, then in Putin-Yeltsin Russia the motivation to obtain and apply knowledge disappeared. Although this was already clearly evident under Brezhnev and Andropov. In Makhachkala, a person simply refuses a career as an industrial engineer, preferring to work as a private owner repairing and setting up computers or electrical equipment in an apartment. In the Russian region, people strive to make a career in a large enterprise, but they study only for the exam, as if not understanding that at work they will need knowledge and not a diploma.

There is no answer, so you will have to write it yourself. So, according to the All-Union Census of 1959, 208,8 million citizens lived in the USSR (162,5 million over 10 years old). There were 99,1 million people employed. So, of this number, 23,4 million people or 23,6% of the working population did not have even primary education. And there were 3,5 million people who were completely illiterate. However, the census data on the number of literate and illiterate people was not included in our press! Why worry people once again?! As a result, in 1962, on August 27, a secret resolution was adopted by the Bureau of the CPSU Central Committee for the RSFSR and the Council of Ministers, according to which the elimination of illiteracy was to be completed by July 1, 1965. That is, our spaceships were already at full speed plowing the expanses of the Universe, and in a country declared to be a country of universal literacy, there were still millions of illiterate people!

Around this time, which Vyacheslav Olegovich talks about, there was an anti-Soviet uprising by workers of state-owned factories in Izhevsk, Votkinsk, Sarapul, caused by the “far-sighted” decisions of the Bolshevik and left-wing Soviets. The Izhevsk workers, instead of going to fight the White Czechs and the forces of the Komuch, as planned, advocated for the councils without the Bolsheviks and Essers, and after the expansion of the rebellion they generally went over to the side of the Komuch.

I would also like to note that the author’s “subtle speculation” on the subject, the “Browning revolver” of the terrorist Kaplan, is very indicative. I just want to say: “Ay-ay-ay...” And this, with such and such genuine author’s insight and meticulousness...

So who will argue? Yes, Gil, there’s no way a pistol with a revolver (it would be worth labeling it that way, and not as the author did - “a Browning with a revolver”). Because Browning is just a brand of a pistol...

Didn’t it occur to the author that it was not Gil, but the author of the note in Izvestia who could have “confused” the Browning with a revolver? And, not even “confuse”, but simply identify? For even for the “simple civilian”, such cases, as they say, are “whether in the face or in the face”...

But the funny thing is that EVEN the author of the note in Izvestia, in THIS case, DID NOT NEED to “confuse” ANYTHING...

Because the respected author, traditionally (I would say, blinkered...) carried away by the “denunciations” of the Bolsheviks unpleasant to him, simply did not have the patience to READ this short story to the END. And there, at the end, the following: “There were three out of six cartridges in the clip”...

I have no doubt at all that the author knows very well that “revolvers” do not have any “Clips” by definition...

So NOBODY or ANYTHING was “confused”...

And Izvestia is talking specifically about the worker who brought the PISTOL. And the newspaper (the author is not a specialist) wrote for the “ordinary” reader “from the street”, who, in this case (the assassination attempt on Lenin, the leader of the revolution) simply “doesn’t give a damn” about any differences between “pistols and revolvers” ...

By the way, quite a lot of such “inconspicuous” and quasi-analytical, but very nasty “little things”, in the form of the anti-Bolshevik orientation of the author’s comments on the opportunistically selected “texture”, have been thrown around in the article...

In the note about the Chinese, it was interesting: were they on the side of the White Guards?

There were, but mostly they were noted on the Red side. I think for the banal reason that in Russia there were mainly Chinese workers to whom the ideas of the Bolsheviks were closer and more accessible. However, almost the entire first elite of the Chinese and Korean Communist Party comes from our Civil War. Their children already fought during the Great Patriotic War.

Shpakovsky quite objectively and balancedly presented information about both the atrocities of the Whites and the atrocities of the Reds. A person with truly leftist views recognizes his own actions in the civil war and does not hide it or condemn his own. Both Novodvorskaya and Yavlinsky often call in Russia to deprive their opponents of voting rights, but continue to consider themselves democrats and liberals. Yavlinsky simply condemns Yeltsin and Putin for their refusal to deeply lustrate the opposition, while Novodvorskaya generally dreamed of a dictator like Pinochet coming to power with mass executions and secret death squads. In principle, the dream of both Novodvorskaya and Yavlinsky was realized by Putin. Communists like Grudinin were lustrated, Zyuganov’s victory over Yeltsin was falsified. There are no mass repressions against the opposition, but rabid oppositionists like Nemtsov, Basayev, Politkovskaya, Khattab died; moderates like Khodorkovsky, Barkashov, Berezovsky and Limonov retreated from active politics.

Yes, just the objectivity (scientific and historical, in any case...) in this anti-Bolshevik article, obviously and traditionally for Shpakovsky, is “ZERO”...

Because the presentation of a deliberately “balanced” (and arithmetically “balanced”) and tendentiously selected “texture”, without the slightest attempt to even come close to an objective consideration of the question of who (what political forces), when and why became (and) the initiator of MASS terror for POLITICAL reasons , there is only the appearance of an “objective” approach. Not objective at all...

Moreover, “using the example” of Kaplan’s assassination attempt on Lenin, 100 times and “a hundred years in the afternoon”, already dismantled “piece by piece”, both in scientific historical and journalistic literature... The very title of the article, “The Unknown War” in in the context of the terror of the Civil War, and even with an emphasis on the assassination attempt by Kaplan, the rebellion of the left Socialist Revolutionaries is, excuse me, what is it about? m, regarding Kaplan, she told a lot quite clearly and without “hiding”. Right down to the calm story of Malkov himself, about how he PERSONALLY, Kaplan, was brought to the wall in the Alexander Garden. And under the noise of the car engine, in the beams of the headlights, the terrorist carried out the death sentence against the wall, from a Mauser (in my opinion...). The book was sold freely in ALL bookstores. And in ALL district city libraries there was...

But this, excuse me, is ALREADY 1918. And not the autumn of 1917... By the way, the cadets (leaders, moreover...) who were “outlawed” by the Bolsheviks were very surprised why no one bothered them. He doesn’t deprive them of their assets... And he doesn’t even disperse their meetings... This is in response to the author’s attempts to “clarify” against whom the “white” and “red” terror were directed...

Nobody seems to argue with this statement. Chernov was ready for the separation of Poland in the spring of 1914 and already then sought to determine with Pilsudski’s representative the future border between Poland and democratic Russia. Solzhenitsyn also advocated the collapse of Russia and advocated the creation of independent states from the Baltic states to Kazakhstan on its ruins. The Balts and Ukrainians did not enter into negotiations with him, but simply grabbed more for themselves than they had hoped for in their rosy dreams. In general, the collapse of the USSR was orchestrated by Andropov and the KGB, which destroyed any attempt to create Russian political groups in universities but allowed the creation of political groups from non-Russian students based on nationality.

Nobody ever put this together at school. But there everything was simple - on September 16.09.1939, XNUMX, peace was signed with Japan.
Stalin did not want possible legal nuances with Japan's ally Germany - what if there were battles and a war in the east in which Germany was formally supposed to be involved.

Here are lines from the memoirs of his eyewitness to the air battle on September 15, 1939, the writer Konstantin Simonov: “During the last September air battle, when the Japanese made the last star raid on our airfields, the air was literally boiling with planes: there were several hundred of them at the same time. I will never again I saw so many planes at once, in the space visible to the eye." Note that this was written by a man who went through the entire Great Patriotic War and saw a lot of air battles on the Soviet-German front.

But there are DOCUMENTS left that allow, precisely from a SCIENTIFIC AND HISTORICAL point of view, to state quite OBJECTIVELY TODAY who in the “question of terror” (MASSIVE, I emphasize, terror...) during the Civil War in Russia was the initiator, and who was FORCED to use terror (MASSIVE) as a response measure. And what goals did the terror pursue as the initiators of this “political” measure? Likewise, those who decisively resorted to terror IN RESPONSE to terror...

It fits what the author needs for the article, only this. For example: Kannegieser, Russian poet, friend of Yesenin and that’s all. It is not written: Junker of the Mikhailovsky Artillery School. On the night of October 25-26, together with the cadets, Kannegieser defended the Provisional Government. The People's Socialist was part of an underground anti-Bolshevik group led by his cousin M. M. Filonenko. Filonenko maintained close contact with B.V. Savinkov, who gave the order for the liquidation of M.S. Uritsky. It is not written about the assassination attempt on Mirbach, the rebellion of the left Socialist Revolutionaries on July 6, 1918 in Moscow and subsequent revolts in Rybinsk, Yaroslavl, rebellion Muravyov in Simbirsk and on August 30, 1918 they shoot at Lenin. And it also seems that the murder of Field Marshal von Eichhorn in Kiev (Skoropadsky’s Ukrainian state) on July 30, 1918, by the Socialist Revolutionaries, does not seem to relate to the events in Soviet Russia. before the assassination attempt on Lenin and the announcement of the “Red Terror”, a whole chain of events follows. But this, naturally, did not fit into the article. There are many other things that everyone respected Shpakovsky chose not to mention. smile

Before the assassination attempt on Lenin and the announcement of the “Red Terror”, a whole chain of events follows.

It seems that it was precisely because of the agreement of the Socialist-Revolutionaries to cooperate with the Bolsheviks in the deployment of a partisan war against the German occupiers and their puppets in Ukraine that the Bolsheviks showed some leniency towards the rebel Socialist-Revolutionaries. The liquidation of Eichhorn is now considered in Russia the most successful operation of the FSB-VChK. The executor of the operation was in love with the socialist leader of this operation, which was carried out in compliance with the glorious traditions of Russian revolutionary militants. The performer did not try to hide after the action or commit suicide; he went to torture and execution. He only asked that his beloved be present at the scene of the action and see his feat for the glory of United Russia. The modern FSB, unlike the Cheka and the Socialist Revolutionaries, was unable to eliminate Avakov, Zelensky, Kolomoisky, or Budanov. Apparently this organization devoted a disproportionate amount of effort to messing around with the National Bolsheviks and missed the creation of a base of Ukrainian saboteurs in Russia.

In this topic, you mention Gil in passing and forget the beginning: “they weren’t planning on going to Mikhelson’s plant”

Perhaps the Socialist Revolutionary battle group accidentally ended up at the Mikhelson plant. When the UPA tried to organize the assassination of Stalin or prominent figures of the USSR, they simply sent several girl combat groups to Moscow, which, moving around the city, tried to find a suitable target of high-ranking politicians. It is unlikely that the half-blind Fanny Kaplan carried out a terrorist attack using small arms. Even under the Tsar, in such cases, Kaplan preferred grenades. As you know, militants usually use one weapon. The legend of Soviet intelligence Nikolai Kuznetsov, while trying to use a grenade instead of a pistol, injured himself and almost died. But Lydia Konopleva, unlike the blind Kaplan, preferred small arms instead of grenades. Perhaps it was she who fired the shots at Lenin. Konopleva was pardoned and sent to work illegally behind the white lines in Crimea.

By this time, Lidiya Vasilyevna was a member of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks), a recommendation was given by a member of the Politburo of the All-Union Communist Party (Bolsheviks) Bukharin N.I.

In 1924, Konopleva worked in the fourth directorate of the headquarters of the Red Army (Workers' and Peasants' Red Army), giving lectures on explosives at courses for GPU (Main Political Directorate) operatives. Then she served in the Moscow department of public education and in the publishing house “Worker of Education.” “For keeping the archives of the Right Socialist Revolutionary Party” she was arrested on April 30, 1937. A year before the arrest, in 1936, the party cards of members of the CPSU (b) were changed. She was given a new type of party card No. 1256763. In the column “were you brought to criminal responsibility... and did you serve in the units that fought against Soviet power...” L.V. Konopleva will write: “...worked in the military organization of the Social Revolutionaries, a terrorist group against the leaders of the party and the Soviet government in 1917–1919. Petrograd and Moscow." There were rumors among my acquaintances in the 1970s that Lenin pardoned the terrorist who attempted to assassinate him and that she worked in the library. Kaplan was killed and burned when Lenin still seemed to have recovered from the assassination attempt.

But the main plot of the film is that Lenin, after his recovery, forced Sverdlov and Dzerzhinsky to reduce the scale of repression and pardoned a lot of people involved in the rebellion.

That is, the social layer of the most educated and intelligent part of society, which could to a certain extent resist Soviet ideology, understand what was happening and even explain it to people from the lower classes, was physically destroyed.

Why was this? And the low level of culture is why.
Author, don’t get carried away with fantasizing and think about what you write.
The worker broke the drill not because he was uncultured (did not know foreign languages and did not know how to play the piano), but because he had extremely low qualifications, in other words, he was not trained in his specialty.
About blowing your nose “with two fingers to the side” I don’t even understand how this is possible.
I’ve seen more than once how to blow your nose by pinching one nostril with one finger, but I can’t imagine how to blow your nose while holding both fingers with two fingers and therefore I’m waiting for an explanation hi

If you read “How the Steel Was Tempered”, you must remember that the worker did not follow the instructions of the supervisor and started drilling without lubrication, left the machine unattended while working, and the drill broke when he went away to get lubrication. Moreover, they tried to declare the master who called for compliance with technical requirements to be a pest. In principle, this is happening everywhere now. Professionals are not allowed into management, and people from outside are entrusted with leadership. Example Rogozin and Roscosmos. Khrushchev and Brezhnev, who stood above Korolev and Glushko, were more respectful of the requirements of the designers than Putin and Rogozin, so Putin lost to Obama and Trump in space, and Khrushchev, if viewed amateurishly from the outside, won the space race against Eisenhower and Kennedy.

And it’s as if they are beating around the bush, as if history as a science is in itself, reality is in itself, and between them there is a blank, impenetrable wall, and therefore no one dares to explore the question of what terror might look like in our time, what are its origins, and if it arises, what are its forms, and whether it can exist at all. After all, you can consider - coldly and impartially, weighing all the pros and cons, without switching to emotions, specific powerful individuals, without shouting “Down with!”
Not considered or analyzed. But the current terror has more than enough tools. And this is not a military man with a Kalash. So you yourself published a blunder that the concept of production culture is not widespread in the Russian language! For example, a mechanic I know from NPO Lavochkin regularly expressed his opinion about the situation with the production culture at NPO Lavochkin. For example, the team of S.P. Korolev did not master the culture of producing thermal calculations for the automation systems of rockets launched to the Moon, but the team under the leadership of Babakin mastered a similar production culture and was able to successfully send devices to the Moon, Venus and Mars. Mechanic Dudyura had a culture of slider production that in 1990 was inaccessible to the US military-industrial complex and which was lost after the death of mechanic Dedyura by the top management of NPO Lavochkin.

Democrat of democrats, the most democratic. It is difficult to suspect him of biased presentation of material about the assassination attempt on Lenin. Nevertheless, there was an investigation, all procedural procedures were followed. And he honestly described this in his book. Now, there are few such places, recovery will depend more on medicine and your desire, but the environment is not a help

He did not “get better”, but only due to his strong-willed qualities he lasted another 4 years....

Dzerzhinsky and Stalin suffered from tuberculosis, but they managed to stop the process in the conditions of “ecologically friendly” tsarist exile and prison..... laughing

And as a medical worker, you need to know that ecology is the science of the interaction of species of organisms in nature. And what you mentioned is called “sanitation”.....
Eklmn.. I also like modern “medical workers”... It’s just terrible..

Let's just say that he himself mentioned several times that he drank beer in exile. The fact that he took walks and bicycles is absolutely beneficial for health.
As for the optimist - it’s unlikely. Purposeful - yes, but when fate swings from left to right - optimists break down

And it may well be that all the events associated with this assassination attempt were nothing more than the so-called casus belli, the purpose of which was to create a situation of the need for the most drastic measures against the “overthrown classes.”

This is the structure and presentation of the material.
The essence of this is simple: the ideological support of bourgeois quasi-democratic foundations requires anti-Soviet/anti-communist “content” and there are always representatives of the intelligentsia who are wholeheartedly ready to satisfy this request...

You are a little behind - this has not been needed for a long time. Not required...
Already, the generation that did not see the USSR has grown-up children - for whom communism or anti-Sovietism is a complete abstraction. Like the First World War - “well, yes it was, the Entente (if they remember such a word) won.” That’s it.....

When, I wonder, did they manage to appear in Russia in such numbers that they became a truly dangerous armed force?
So, they have been growing since 1861. Even under the tsar they tried to fight them, to no avail.

Take measures to prevent corpses from falling into unwanted hands. Responsible comrades of the Cheka and regional Chekas to be present at major executions. Red terror is a response to anti-Bolshevik terror.
    1) Firstly, there were attempts on Lenin’s life at the beginning of 1918 (and even earlier, but the Bolsheviks did not know about them). There were murders of Volodarsky, Pyatakov and others. Kornilov had already made his mark by that time. In general, there was a lot of things that already give the right to a response.
    2) There was a civil war and intervention. War was declared on Soviet Russia a long time ago. Open.
    3) What is the basis for the thesis that the terror was carried out by the SRs, and the whites were targeted? In St. Petersburg there was the Union of St. George Cavaliers, the Shock Battalion, and the Alekseevites. And in general, why couldn’t there be a temporary alliance between the SRs and the whites? Savenkov had no dealings with the whites?
    4) Why are the Bolsheviks reproached for the fact that the retaliatory terror was directed not at the top of the White Movement, but at its breeding ground? Was it possible for the Reds to remove the white leaders? Was there any point in this? Well, Kornilov, Alekseev, Denikin were replaced by Wrangel. The change of personalities did not fundamentally affect the course of the war. And why does the article even present it as a fact that the White Terror was aimed exclusively at the top of the Bolsheviks????
    5)
That is, the level of culture in the country was lowered as a result of the Red Terror in the most significant way.
    - The level of culture was lowered due to the fact that the nobility and capitalists did not realize the need to abandon their usual way of life and tried with all their might to bring the country back. This became the cause of the Civil War in which everyone died: workers and peasants, the intelligentsia and the nobility. From all sides. If these educated, cultured and courteous strata had directed all their talents toward improving the general culture of the population (many, by the way, did), then the country would have become more cultural earlier.

Talk about the consequences of the long-ago seizure of power in Russia by foreign armed gangs of rootless cosmopolitans, who were specially trained and armed by the USA and England. For 6 months, the militants were brought to St. Petersburg and placed on the outskirts, in empty barracks, by decision of the Provisional Government. Residents of St. Petersburg did not participate in the seizure, but simply observed the ongoing Locust invasion. The more important thing is that the Secret Always becomes Explicit. Look at today, after the second Locust Infestation in 100 years in the early 1990s. I recently read some interesting information. What's going on behind the scenes: https://dzen.ru/a/ZCx26jRcrB-Wjv0P?utm_referer=www.google.com What a trick! Read the article by the patriot-turncoat to the end. Shocking news from the leader of rootless cosmopolitans - he reveals “Achievements” at the Congress.

Yes, a very one-sided view of the problem. Any war, especially civil war, is bad. But once it starts, the enemy must be beaten on the spot. Naturally, in such a mess, all sorts of injustice slips through.

What are you saying, how could the sophisticated lieutenants of the Golitsins-Cornets of Obolensky do such a thing, this is a fffssee lie, they didn’t drown anyone in the swamps, didn’t pour ice water on them in the cold, didn’t gouge out their eyes, didn’t shoot them. Well, just darlings.
