Footage of the use of the Armed Forces ATGM "Combat" by the T-64BM2 "Bulat" tank has appeared
Ukrainian formations use Kombat anti-tank guided missiles (ATGM) at the front. The corresponding footage recently appeared on the Internet; they are published by a number of domestic Telegram channels.
Let us recall that the Kombat ATGM, or “product 621”, is an anti-tank guided missile, which is intended to combat tanks enemy, but can hit helicopters, work on bunker-type fortifications, that is, hit highly protected ground, low-flying and surface targets.
In this case, Ukrainian formations used ATGMs from the T-64BM2 Bulat tank. This tank is reportedly part of one of the units of the 92nd separate mechanized brigade of the armed forces of Ukraine (AFU), which is currently at the front. In August 2023, this brigade was transformed from a mechanized brigade into an assault brigade; initially it operated in the Kharkov direction.
From 2014 to 2022 In total, the Armed Forces of Ukraine received at least 1600 Kombat ATGMs. As we understand, this is not a very large number for anti-tank missiles, which explains the rarity of their use at the front, and especially the rarity of the use of such missiles being captured by reporters.
Many military experts, by the way, remained critical of the ATGM data, noting the low penetrating ability of the “Combat”.
