Ukrainian resources report the appearance of British Challenger 2 tanks in the "south direction"

British Tanks Challenger 2, handed over to Ukraine back in March of this year, finally appeared on the line of contact. However, the Russian military does not have the opportunity to get to know them better, since they do not attack ours, but are used as artillery for shelling from a long distance.

According to Ukrainian resources, the Challenger 2 MBT was transferred to the "southern direction", where there is no exact data. Prior to that, they were in the "operational reserve" along with a unit from the air assault brigade, which they entered service with. Earlier, British intelligence announced the "irrational" use of the Challenger 2 in the counteroffensive in the Zaporozhye direction, but, apparently, Kiev has no more reserves, the last ones have been thrown into battle.

British tanks do not go on the attack on the positions of the Russian army, therefore they still remain "the best in the world." As explained in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the Challenger 2 was created only for the destruction of enemy armored vehicles, in its arsenal there are no shells for working on infantry. Armor-piercing feathered sub-caliber shells and non-fragmentation high-explosive shells, "having no fragmentation effect on infantry," are available to the Ukrainian military.

Its advantage is that it is long-range, it is very accurate (...) The Challenger 2 was designed to destroy vehicles. For manpower there is manpower and artillery

- said the Ukrainian military, part of the crew of the British tank.

In total, Britain transferred 14 Challenger 2 tanks to Ukraine, all of which are in service with one of the air assault brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Since they have appeared on the battlefield, the Russian military will soon begin to chalk up the "world's best" tanks.

Well, I don't understand them. But even our numbers have an advantage. What are they hoping for? Well, let's kill them. What's next. There are actually more of us than them, and our resources are unlimited. Do they want to be killed all of them?

Well, this is compared to the Ukrainians, but almost the entire Western world sends them gifts and rabble from all over the world fights on their side. There is a calculation for this.

There are more of us, but we have to do everything ourselves, from scratch to the state of the finished product ... that is, people working in production and so at the front, no matter how you look at it.
Although, there is a contingent that is neither here nor there!!! But it's like that everywhere...

What if you go from the other side? To make Russian society tired and irritated by the war, to provoke unrest, rebellion, coup, and so that a secret protege of "frightened patriots" would come to power, who would start peace negotiations with the recognition of four regions and Crimea as Russian? Any option for preserving Ukraine within any borders is already a strategic loss for Russia. Even if the border passes along the Dnieper, and Ukraine writes "neutrality" in the Constitution.

In the West, for at least twelve years, they have been dreaming of organizing a color revolution and bringing Russia under their control. But even one of the first and most successful attempts at Bolotnaya Square in 2011 turned out so-so, with almost zero exhaust. And now, in general, without a chance.

        1) More/less is not decisive in modern wars. Accurate weapons with constantly supplied ammunition equalize the differences in mobile resources.
        2) The resource today is electronics, satellites, aviation, radars, missile defense systems.
And not just coal, steel, oil as before.
        Permanent Lend-Lease also equalizes resources.

Ukraine needs a "fighting draw" - line 24.2. For them, this is a military victory.
And for Russia it’s a draw

All elements of the periodic table (Russia) can be found in the land of the country.
But the electronic board will still have to be bought from China.
Or, on the contrary, in the land of the country it may be empty (Japan, for example, or Holland), but these countries will make the electronic payment themselves.
Therefore, a resource is not a raw material.

From what, I wonder? By chance, not from the raw materials that they will have to buy somewhere? And what difference does it make what the country has to buy - gas and uranium for energy, rare earth metals or ready-made boards? Despite the fact that, having raw materials, it is still possible to make a board, but vice versa it will not work.

Raw materials are sold by many dozens of countries.
This is the lowest part of the industrial chain.
Only a few can make a board from this raw material.
Russia is still in captivity of the false concept of a “raw materials superpower.” These two words are antonyms. If it's a raw material resource, then it's definitely not a superpower.

This applies only to electricity, which, as you know, is extracted from a socket and a little bit of oil.
Many types of raw materials, often of critical importance, are mined in five or six countries, and sometimes even less. Moreover, in many positions, the top three produce more than all other countries combined.

By the way, electronics is also made in more than one country: China, Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, USA, Germany, France, Great Britain, Israel, Canada, Malaysia, Singapore, etc. Even in Russia there is the production of electronics, no matter what Russophobes and liberals think.

This is where American shale gas and oil producers got offended. It's just that we have oil and gas - this is a shameful raw material industry, and in the USA (Canada, Norway, the United Arab Emirates) - this is a respectable and very high-tech industry.

That's just the exact weapon we learned to produce. And let anyone supply them to us. But as soon as we introduce restrictions on the supply of raw materials and precision weapons, no one will. Self-sufficient countries are only the USA and Russia. And we have domestic electronics. Managed to revive. Problems with optics. But they are already trying to establish production. And money will definitely be allocated for this. Despite the loss from some resource sales. We can stretch them out over decades. And Brix also plays an important role in this. Faster the west will be surrounded and without resources. They will wait for handouts from the United States. And they will break the price

“In its design, an armor-piercing high-explosive projectile is generally similar to a conventional high-explosive one, but unlike the latter, it has a body with relatively thin walls, designed for plastic deformation when encountering an obstacle, and always only a bottom fuse. The charge of an armor-piercing high-explosive projectile consists of a plastic explosive and when the projectile meets an obstacle, it “spreads” over the surface of the latter...
The principle of operation of an armor-piercing high-explosive projectile is based on the fact that detonation occurs after a charge of a plastic explosive has spread across the armor, which does not lead to penetration of the armor, but to the formation of large fragments on the inside of the armor, which produce a damaging effect. Moreover, the damaging effect is almost independent of the speed at which the projectile meets the armor and, therefore, the firing distance...”

Its advantage is that it is long-range, it is very accurate (...) Challenger 2 was created to destroy equipment

On the one hand, it’s really long-range (for a tank, of course):
“The effective firing range of a HESH projectile is 8 km”

      But there are nuances:
“An armor-piercing high-explosive projectile (high-explosive armor-piercing) is a type of artillery ammunition designed to destroy armored vehicles and fortifications...
The principle of operation of an armor-piercing high-explosive projectile is based on the fact that detonation occurs after the spread of a plastic explosive charge across the armor, which does not lead to penetration of the armor, but to the formation of large fragments on the inside of the armor, which produce a damaging effect...
...the action of an armor-piercing high-explosive projectile is ineffective against combined armor... and practically ineffective against spaced armor...
The thin-walled body of the projectile forces it to limit its initial speed ... to less than 800 m/s. This leads to a decrease in trajectory flatness and an increase in flight time, which sharply reduces the chances of hitting moving armored targets at real combat distances...
...an armor-piercing high-explosive projectile, despite the significant mass of the explosive charge, has a relatively low fragmentation effect, since its body has thin walls... Accordingly, the effect of the projectiles against enemy personnel is insufficient.”

In general, a miracle of technology from the gloomy British genius: it is not suitable either against modern tanks or against manpower, but it shoots far.
True, our helicopters shoot almost twice as far, and hit more accurately. Not to mention the Lancets...
