On the night of September 3, two entire rifle battalions of the 14th mechanized brigade were taken from the outskirts of Kupyansk to Kharkov and placed in the infectious diseases departments of city hospitals. Two rifle battalions - about a thousand soldiers.

Firstly, Kharkov is now dealing with a thousand carriers of a dangerous disease, and possibly more. Secondly, the combat effectiveness of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Kupyansk direction will begin to suffer seriously if thousands of militants are put in infectious diseases hospitals.

For now, these battalions of the 14th brigade will be replaced in positions by the remnants of the 32nd separate mechanized brigade, which was sent for reorganization after huge losses in the Novoselovsky area (Lugansk People's Republic).

Let us recall that legionellosis is a serious disease with damage to lung tissue and the development of pneumonia. The first outbreak of the disease was recorded in 1976 among participants at an American Legion convention, which is where the name of the disease comes from. Not long ago it became known about the outbreak of a legionellosis epidemic in Poland, including in the region of Rzeszow, which is the main logistics center for assistance to Ukraine. It is likely that it was from there that the disease came to Ukraine - along with Polish mercenaries who infected Ukrainian military personnel.
