Advisor to the Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine linked the holding of elections with the provision of new air defense systems to Kyiv
In order for the elections in Ukraine to be held on time, the Armed Forces of Ukraine must receive new air defense systems, including the Patriot air defense system. This statement was made by adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Mykhailo Podolyak at the telethon.
As Podolyak noted, in March 2024, presidential elections should theoretically be held in Ukraine. The country, according to him, is ready for them, but there are questions about the security of the election campaign.
- asked Podolyak, and noted that there is no answer to the question from the Western states.
Earlier, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky repeatedly demanded new Patriot air defense systems from the West. In addition, Zelensky spoke about Ukraine's need for 160 F-16 fighter aircraft, which would allegedly make it possible to completely secure Ukraine from the Russian military. aviation.
In addition, Podolyak noted that the elections will cost Ukraine a lot of money. Now the country, according to him, does not have such free money that they can simply be taken and sent to finance the election campaign. That is, this is another "begging" hint that the West should pay for Ukraine's presidential elections.
It is possible that the leaders of the Kyiv regime expect to use part of the funds if they are allocated for their own enrichment. That is, when the West requires Ukraine to hold elections, the authorities of this country are ready to agree, but only on the condition of providing additional military assistance and funding.
