“There is a risk of remaining alone”: Zelensky said that Kyiv has no plans to transfer hostilities to Russia
Ukraine will not transfer hostilities to the territory of Russia, limiting itself to the "liberation of the occupied territory." Zelensky stated this in another interview with Ukrainian media.
The Kiev regime did not leave plans to enter the borders of Crimea, despite the failed counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Nobody removed the task of cutting off the land route to the peninsula from the General Staff, so the offensive will continue, possibly in the spring of 2024. At the same time, Zelensky does not exclude that after the Armed Forces of Ukraine reach the borders of Crimea, Kyiv will begin negotiations with Russia, naturally, about the surrender and withdrawal of Russian troops from the territory of the peninsula.
- he said.
At the same time, Kyiv does not plan to transfer hostilities to the territory of Russia. And the point here is not that the office of the President of Ukraine decided this way, the West simply forbade doing it, fearing further escalation. So Zelensky admitted that in this case, Ukraine risks being left without Western sponsors, which means defeat with a 100% probability.
- he added.
Earlier in Kiev, they said that the only outcome of the conflict with Russia could only be victory with access to the borders of 1991, and peace negotiations with Moscow were allowed only on the issues of capitulation of Russia and the payment of reparations to Ukraine. At the same time, the political elite of Ukraine rejects the proposals of the West on possible negotiations with Russia.
