Kurganmashzavod, based on the experience of the SVO, will equip promising models of equipment with anti-cumulative gratings

Taking into account the experience of the special operation in Ukraine, anti-cumulative grilles have become an integral part of mass-produced weapons and military equipment by Russian enterprises.

As the TASS With reference to the chief designer of JSC "Special Design Bureau of Mechanical Engineering" Sergei Abdulov, it is planned to equip all types of equipment manufactured and modernized by Kurganmashzavod with additional protection systems.

Abdulov stressed that the enterprise at the Army-2023 military-technical forum for the first time presented prototypes of products equipped with additional protection kits - a modernized 2S25 self-propelled anti-tank gun and a BT-3F armored personnel carrier. Having become an integral part of mass-produced equipment, anti-cumulative grids, taking into account the experience of combat operations during a special military operation, are planned to be installed on all types of advanced military equipment.

State tests of the 2S25M anti-tank gun were carried out in the first half of 2022. 2S25M is equipped with a 125 mm 2A75-1 cannon and corresponds in terms of firepower to tank T-90MS. The machine is supposed to be equipped first of all with units of the Airborne Forces. 2S25M can be transported with the help of large landing ships and during the tests carried out in the Black Sea area it demonstrated high-level navigational qualities.

I really want to see and evaluate it in real form, and not from words ... Because all claims to such gratings have already been described, the main one of which is DO NOT HOLD.

For example, I only saw BMD-4 with screens at parades, but for some reason they don’t put them in the database area.

Yes, they will go into the bushes once. Then they will take a sledgehammer, crawl out and beat them off cursing. These grilles need to be welded in place. Directly in front of it, so to speak .... Or does someone think that outdoor equipment is there? Everything from Tunguska to the last "loaf" into plantings and forests (if possible) climb like relatives. I vaguely imagine how they will move on such hedgehogs through the forest near Kremennaya, for example ... First they made glass equipment. Now let's defend it as best they can. Every time they change their position, the technician clears a place for itself. Now what do you need to wait until the people manually clear the road or a parking space?

And what about the regular side screens of the BMD-4? Do they also break them with bushes? Or a little mm of iron on the sides from fragments and bullets, what for they didn’t give up?

Strangely, the article talks about protective grilles, and the photo in the article shows the 2S25M Sprut-SDM1 with a reinforced bulwark, which is not a grill at all. Yes, and on the new technology there is a rejection of gratings in favor of solid screens. Here, for example:

You can look at this modernization on the u-tube "Military Acceptance".

But before that, the need to protect armored vehicles from cumulative ammunition was not obvious? Appropriate means of destruction seem to have been known for decades.

Before the NWO, we were not up to this. Parades, laudatory TV programs about unparalleled in the world, photo reports for reports. Etc. and so on. God forbid what is sensible to say that is different from the general mass. This is betrayal. And now to seat these vyakalok in the BMP 2 wassat for example and send to the front. They would immediately remember about heavily armored systems and KAZ would not be expensive.

    My other questions are:
    1. The re-booking kit was still in Afghanistan on the BMP-2
    2. It also shone on the BTR82 for a long time.
    3. There were two wars in the Caucasus
    4. The active phase in the ATS has passed.
    5. 2014 has passed and everything was talking about 2022.
All experimental data was obtained, what prevented us from equipping everything that is with additional kits?
Only UVZ with T72B3 and T90M tanks and Omsk with T80BVM approached this on a large scale. Only corrected.

I like this: "according to the experience of the NWO" .... But there were no Chechen ones, according to the experience of which various "Cacti" were made on the BMP-3? Or the Afghan ones, on the basis of which the BMP-2D was made? ... And, can you still remove the ammunition from the combat airborne assault at least for lightly armored cartons?
