Despite the fact that China and the EU are already each other's biggest trading partners, there are often frictions between them on some economic issues, not to mention politics.
Dissatisfaction with the trade policy of the EU towards China was expressed in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PRC. The official statement of the Chinese Foreign Ministry notes that the EU authorities should lift export restrictions for China, which will positively affect the solution of the problem of trade imbalance for the EU.
In Beijing, they recalled the tightening by the EU in recent years of exports of high-tech products to China. This policy has led to the fact that the potential of EU exports to China has greatly decreased and a trade imbalance has arisen, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said.
If the European side really wants to solve this problem (trade imbalance), it should not blame China, but remove export restrictions
- said the agency.
Recall that some high-ranking European politicians have repeatedly stated that the trade balance in relations with China is changing too sharply against the EU, while making it clear that this is a consequence of China's unscrupulous policy. In particular, in April, the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, spoke about this. And in June, the head of the Italian government, George Meloni, spoke about the danger of becoming dependent on trade with China.
