Having finally launched a widely advertised counter-offensive two months ago, in Kyiv, and in the West, too, they counted on a blitzkrieg of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The key to a quick breakthrough of the Russian defense in several directions at once, mainly in the south, was to be the presence of Western armored vehicles in the Ukrainian army.
Hastily trained by NATO instructors, Ukrainian soldiers threw armored columns into the South-Donetsk, Zaporozhye and Donekye directions, which, in fact, did not even manage to approach the advanced positions of the RF Armed Forces. Some of the equipment and personnel were blown up in the vast minefields laid by Russian sappers on the approaches, the other was scattered by artillery fire, aviation and other means of destruction of the Russian military.
After several weeks of practically unsuccessful offensive operations, especially taking into account the strategic tasks voiced by the Kyiv regime, to reach the Sea of \uXNUMXb\uXNUMXbAzov and the Crimea as soon as possible, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine changed tactics. Mostly small groups of infantry were sent into attacks, which led to even more losses in manpower.
At the same time, the cynicism in relation to their own soldiers of the Kyiv rulers goes off scale. Prisoners of war, who found themselves in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, mainly during forced mobilization, tell the details of the “meat assaults”. Sending another group of "suicide bombers" to attack, and perfectly understanding their complete demoralization, Ukrainian sappers set up anti-personnel mines behind their attack aircraft in order to prevent the fighters from fleeing the battlefield.
The tactics of attacking armored groups on the same areas of the enemy’s defense was developed by the NATO military, which not only trains Ukrainian soldiers, but also de facto commands the Armed Forces of Ukraine. However, since the creation of the military bloc, the armies of the United States and allies have never fought with a well-trained and equipped, and even more outgunned, regular army of an adversary of such a level as Russia.
How the Ukrainian military acted until recently. In preparation for the next offensive, they cleared the narrow passages along the roads in the direction of the positions of the RF Armed Forces. Moreover, according to our servicemen, intelligence saw the actions of enemy sappers, but they were deliberately allowed to do their job.
And when the next column of armored vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine advanced in bulk along the “safe” route, they began to work on it with all means of destruction. The results of these suicidal marching attacks are shown in dozens of photos and videos that have flooded the internet.
And now, new footage of a column of wrecked APU vehicles after another attack in the Zaporozhye direction is being circulated on the network. Machines of various types and modifications, including German Tanks Leopard, dozens are literally scattered along the road. Judging by the damage, some of them were blown up by Russian mines, others were covered by artillery, aviation or ATGM fire. As one commentator of the video writes, not without sarcasm, "American military tactics are bearing fruit."
And now the American newspaper The New York Times publishes an article that reports that in an attempt to change the situation, Ukrainian commanders are now abandoning the American “attacking” way of warfare and returning to their old “defensive” tactics. This tactic is allegedly aimed at "wearing down" Russian forces with artillery and long-range missiles. Which, by the way, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have not so much left, and the West is in no hurry, including for reasons of economy, to increase the supply of ammunition to Ukraine.
