Ukrainian formations continue to attack the Russian defenses in the Donetsk, Krasno-Limansky and Yuzhno-Donetsk directions during the so-called counter-offensive, which began on June 4 and has not yet led to special successes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In turn, the Russian armed forces are conducting offensive operations in several sectors of the front, moving forward.
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in today's report reports that in the Krasnolimansk direction, assault detachments of the 15th motorized rifle brigade of the "Center" group of troops continued their offensive near the village of Sergeevka in the LPR. As a result of successful attacking actions, our fighters drove the enemy out of their positions in a day, taking control of a bridgehead up to three kilometers along the front and 2700 meters deep into the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In turn, the Ukrainian formations counterattacked in the areas of the village of Chervonaya Dibrova and on the borders of the Serebryansky forestry, were stopped by the fire of TOS, artillery and aviation. During the fighting in these areas, about two hundred Ukrainian fighters, several armored vehicles, D-20 and D-30 howitzers, as well as three Gvozdika self-propelled guns were destroyed.
The second area where the RF Armed Forces not only successfully hold back the onslaught of the enemy, but also advance, remains the Kupyansk direction in the Kharkov region. In this area, with the support of artillery, units of the 7th motorized rifle regiment of the "Western" grouping of the RF Armed Forces are advancing towards the city. The day before, our attack aircraft occupied the dominant heights in the area of the village of Kuzemovka to the east of Kupyansk.
During the fighting in this area, the Russian military eliminated more than 130 Ukrainian militants. One enemy tank, three armored vehicles, M777, D-20 and Msta-B howitzers, as well as a Gvozdika self-propelled artillery mount were destroyed.
The enemy does not leave intentions to break through our defenses in the Orekhovsky direction of the Zaporozhye Front. The report of the Ministry of Defense reports that since the morning of last day, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, consisting of three battalions, reinforced tanks, launched an offensive against the positions of the 810th Marine Brigade and the 71st Motorized Rifle Regiment of the 42nd Motorized Rifle Division of the RF Armed Forces. Ours repelled all attacks, holding the occupied line of defense.
For the enemy, the next counterattack in this sector again ended very badly. Russian fighters destroyed 22 Ukrainian tanks, ten infantry fighting vehicles and more than a hundred fighters of the Armed Forces of Ukraine with mixed fire from all means of destruction.
No better for the enemy turned out to be another attempt to attack in the area of the village of Rabotino of the Zaporozhye Front. In the course of repelling the attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, our fighters destroyed two tanks, the Gvozdika self-propelled guns and the Giacint-B howitzer.
To the west of Donetsk, Russian troops continue to hold back all attempts by the enemy to break through our defenses, in total, four attacks by the Armed Forces of Ukraine were repulsed. Two ammunition depots of the 28th and 110th mechanized brigades of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were destroyed in the areas of the settlements of Dyleevka and Avdeevka of the Donetsk People's Republic. As a result of an unsuccessful counter-offensive, Ukrainian formations lost up to 210 servicemen killed and wounded, five towed guns and three Polish self-propelled guns Krab were destroyed in the counter-battery fight.
In the South-Donetsk direction, the enemy tried to attack in the direction of the village of Nikolskoye, Zaporozhye region. As a result, I ran into minefields, after which our artillery and aviation of the Vostok group worked on the remnants of the assault detachments of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
