      Interesting memo!
And how many points are devoted to the Commandments of Honor!
It is unusual to read a modern "storeroom".
      Great!

The highest manifesto of 26 July 1914 of declaring the state of war between Russia and Germany

By the grace of God We, Nicholas the Second, Emperor and All-Russian Autocrat, Tsar of Poland, Grand Duke of Finland, and so on, and so forth, and so forth.

We declare to all our faithful subjects:

A few days ago, Our manifesto informed the Russian people about the war declared to us by Germany.

Now Austria-Hungary, the first instigator of the world turmoil, who drew a sword against the weakest Serbia in the middle of the deep world, threw off her mask and declared war on Russia that saved it more than once.

The forces of the enemy multiply: both powerful German powers fought against Russia and the entire Slavs. But with a redoubled force, the righteous anger of peaceful nations grows to meet them, and with unshakable firmness rises before the enemy Russia called to the battle, faithful to the glorious traditions of its past.

The Lord sees that not for the sake of belligerent designs or vain worldly glory, We raised weapons, but protecting the dignity and security of God-kept Our Empire, we fight for a just cause- In the upcoming war of nations, We are not alone: Our valiant allies also forced us resort to the power of arms in order to finally eliminate the eternal threat of the German powers to general peace and tranquility. May the Lord bless our Almighty and our allied arms to Us, and may all Russia rise to military feat with a rod in his hands, with a cross in his heart.

It is given in St. Petersburg, on 26, the day of July, in the summer of the birth of Christ, one thousand nine hundred and fourteenth, and Our Reign in the twentieth.
On the true Own His Imperial Majesty by hand signed:

I wonder how the incomprehensible sign is read, which was replaced by the letter "e" in the current word "department"

so it reads. this is "yat". everything strives for simplicity and convenience. Greek, too, would not hurt to edit, otherwise every second letter is duplicated, sometimes even several times. and in German, on the contrary, add the letter S with a tail, otherwise they got it with their SCH))

        "Bѣly, bldny, bѣdny bѣs
        I was hungry hungry.
        Belka on lѣsu on онѣgal,
        Съ ь ь съ съ х по по ѣ ѣ ѣ
And for the bitter tot obѣd
Dal obѣt nadѣlat bѣd ... "(c)

Yes, the memo is interesting, it shows the level of development of the then soldiers - yesterday's peasants, well, or as it was presented at the headquarters, where they wrote the text - in our time it’s not worth explaining what the white flag is, and the idea is not to shoot at the orderlies as Something didn’t take root ... Rather, the idea took hold of wounding the enemy, and then shooting those who crawled towards him. Interestingly, the soldier seemed to be certainly Orthodox, and not a Muslim, or God forbid an atheist. The role of bayonet fighting, as always, is exaggerated, but about the grenades, for example, not a word. Apparently, they rewrote from the charter, and the charter was taken at the end of the 19th century.

unfortunately or fortunately (as you like) such respect for the enemy and his fellow citizens differs only in the Russian military. I am sure --- nowhere else, in any army of the world there were no such memos! This reminder once again confirms that "we do not need someone else but we will not give up ours either "!!!

“Remember the greatness and victory of Germany. For your personal glory, you must kill exactly 100 Russians. You have neither heart nor nerves - they are not needed in war. Having destroyed pity and compassion in yourself, kill every Russian; don't stop - the old man is in front of you, a woman, a girl or a boy. Kill In this way you will save yourself from death, ensure the future of your family and become famous forever ”

... this is not ours .....

But God is not Mityash ...... and judged in fairness!

I am simply shocked, did not know anything about the existence of such a document. Just a memo to a soldier, not even an officer, but how much wisdom, philanthropy ... And they shoved us the "Moral Code ...". Once again I am convinced that despite all the mistakes of our tsars, autocracy is the most organic power for Russia.
