The market for military equipment is growing demand for combat fighters

1
Currently, in many countries there is an unstable situation that concerns peace and tranquility. In particular, such countries as Israel, the United Arab Emirates and India are meant. Problems with the situation in the country force them to purchase various weapons. Fighters and combat aircraft are most popular with importing countries. The volume of sales of this type of weapons is about one third of the total export weapons in the world. Even the high price of more than 40 million dollars for a fighter does not keep these countries from buying. The largest fighter supplying countries are Russia and the USA. During the period from 2005 to 2009, the United States sold the 331 aircraft, and Russia sold the 215 combat vehicles.

The Stokkolm Institute for the Study of the World was monitoring the state of the military equipment market. It became known that during 2005 - 2009, the share of fighter sales amounted to approximately 27% of the total sales of the rest of the types of weapons throughout the world. And if we also consider that in addition to airplanes, the necessary armaments and equipment, such as military shells, missiles, engines, were also exported, then it turns out that the share of sales amounts to more than 33% of the total export.

Despite the exorbitant prices, fighters are the most popular type of weapon. Advanced models, built with the latest technology, go to buyers for a price that exceeds many millions of dollars. It is known that Thailand acquired six Swedish JAS-39 aircraft, for which approximately 500 million dollars was paid. For the same amount, Vietnam bought eight Su-30MKK planes from Russia. Pakistan also laid out 1,5 billion dollars to America for 18 F-16C Block-50 combat fighters.
In general, the production and marketing of aircraft abroad is a rather profitable article in state revenues. Since after covering the costs of manufacturing fighter aircraft, there is still enough money that can be spent on the development and development of modern combat aviation. But still, huge costs do not allow all countries to engage in the production of aircraft and the development of this industry. Only eight states, such as Russia, the USA, France, India, China, Sweden, Japan and the United Kingdom, can afford this. There is also a joint production of military aircraft by the countries of Germany, Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom.

But their all In these countries, only Russia and the USA receive permanent orders. The rest are mainly engaged in the production only to equip their army, orders for the export of fighters receive very rarely.
The United States, for its military aviation, produces as many airplanes as it sends for export, while Russia is exporting more fighters to the 10 once than equipping its air force. However, it is planned that soon Russia will devote more time to equipping its army with military equipment.

Despite the fact that India is also engaged in the production of combat aircraft, but it is also the largest buyer of fighters: for the period from 2005 to 2009 the year they purchased 115 units of this technology. Israel bought the 82 aircraft and the UAE bought the 108 machines. In general, 995 fighters were sold worldwide in less than five years. The main buyers of military equipment have become countries in which a tense international situation prevails.

Russia sells a large number of weapons, about 50% of exports are combat aircraft. The greatest demand for fighter aircraft brands such as the SU-30МК and Mig-29. They are sent to China, India, Vietnam, Ethiopia, Malaysia and other countries.

It has already been said above that India is the main importer of military equipment. Currently, Russia and Russia have concluded contracts worth more than 10 billion dollars. This includes a contract for the export of X-NUMX units of SU-140MK combat fighters, as well as a contract for the repair and modernization of the aircraft-carrying cruiser Admiral Gorshkov. Then there is the transfer of the Nerpa nuclear submarine under the Indian Navy leasing contract, the construction of three frigates, the manufacture of 30 heavy military equipment, the upgrading of existing MiG-1000 64 fighters, the supply of 29 Mi-80В helicopters and other smaller contracts.
The quality of performance of these obligations depends on the size of future transactions. So now India is holding a competition for the supply of 126 combat fighters. Russia has good chances to win this tender for the manufacture and export of aircraft. In particular, Mig-39 is quite competitive in order to win the competition. This order could bring Russia additional 10 billion dollars. The results of the tender will be known in the near future.

In addition, in the near future it is planned to conclude a contract with the same India for the delivery of a batch of X-NUMX heavy fighters SU-42MKi. The amount of delivery will be approximately 30 billion dollars.
