The fighting in Ukraine must be stopped as soon as possible. The world cannot allow them to drag on for another 500 days. This was stated by British Foreign Secretary James Cleverley, speaking at a meeting of the UN Security Council.
James Cleverly claims that "the whole world wants peace", although it is the UK that is one of the main initiators of supplies weapons Ukraine. He calls for the withdrawal of Russian troops from the new regions of Russia and the unblocking of the Black Sea for navigation.
President Zelenskiy's ten-point plan showed the way forward. Ukraine wants peace. We want peace. The whole world wants peace
Cleverly said.
However, Zelensky's plan is obviously unfeasible, since it involves the complete withdrawal of Russian troops from the territories that are subjects of the Russian Federation. Naturally, Moscow will not agree to the implementation of such a plan, so we are not talking about a peaceful settlement in this case.
In order to talk about peace, Western countries first need to stop the supply of weapons and military equipment to Ukraine, refuse to support Zelensky's uncompromising course. Only in this case it will be possible to approach a peaceful settlement in Ukraine. All other scenarios are unrealistic, and the NATO countries themselves are not interested in ending the conflict through Russian-Ukrainian negotiations.
