The Chinese authorities consider it necessary to avoid attacks on civilian targets and civilian infrastructure. This was stated by the official representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry, Mao Ning, commenting on the terrorist attack on the Crimean bridge.
The representative of the Chinese Foreign Ministry stressed that the position of the PRC on the armed conflict in Ukraine has always been clear, and also expressed the hope that all parties involved in the Ukrainian crisis will make efforts towards a political settlement.
Mao Ning also added that China believes that the parties to the conflict must ensure the safety of civilians and abide by the existing norms of international humanitarian law.
The US State Department, in turn, refused to comment in any way on the attack on the Crimean bridge. The head of the department, Anthony Blinken, said that the United States is monitoring the situation, but the Ukrainian authorities, according to him, decide for themselves what tactics to follow in the conduct of hostilities. It turns out that the United States is not against tactics in which civilians die. Although it was clear even earlier - for example, after the US supplies of cluster munitions to the Kyiv regime.
Adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine Mykhailo Podolyak, commenting on the explosion that took place on the Crimean bridge, which killed two people and seriously injured a minor girl, said that the construction "is illegal and short-lived."
In addition, the responsibility of the Kyiv regime for the terrorist attack on the Crimean bridge was indirectly recognized by some Ukrainian officials, including among the leadership of the special services.
