Polygon. "Bridge in an hour"

19
Build a bridge across the Don 500 long meters per hour! This task seems impossible. But not for the program leader and a team of two hundred soldiers. And a column of huge trucks carrying parts of the bridge and a couple of boats will come to the aid of the “builders”.

I know the work of military engineers by hearsay and deeply respect.

PMP rarely saw full-blooded bridges, but ferries from links with towing boats: it has always been. At SHG, equipment was shipped less frequently.
On the banks of the TCP as a rescue vehicle and our BTS for every fireman. ...

Already shuddered when he saw in the video "laptezhniki" with elements of PMP, earlier they were on KRAZ ... Memory, eat it ... You know how fun you feel in a tank when under your weight the pontoon link bends down ... laughing

Respect for sappers. These bees, and they do not care: war or not, they always have a lot of work to do. drinks

This skill must be maintained at a high level. who knows, what if he once again indulges in building bridges on the rivers of Europe ..........

      bremest,
Do not have to! Such a war as before will not be. All this is dust in the eyes. If at the front line (and there will be no front line), the pontoons will be smashed to pieces before they are built, but if this part of the land is liberated or in the rear, then another thing will be able to bring about. In general, equipment not necessary for military operations is needed, and since there will be no front, airborne and navy units (marines) will be needed in large numbers so that the enemy feels that he is already surrounded after our landing.

Once in childhood, I saw how the guys at the exercises built a pontoon bridge across the Volga (width kilometer) in Yaroslavl ..... it was really cool .... and then they started the train ......
I was so fascinated by their work that I did not sleep all night .... sat on the shore with friends and watched a real bridge appear out of nothing, and on it a railway ...
    THIS IS REALLY COOL

Namesake, something like these BMK? wink
I remember such in the HMB divisions, squared with sappers and chased them for fishing ... there was a golden time ...

And in the actual video there is something new, some ship is straight.
      Catch a plus, sapper.

have you watched the video? at first they seized a bridgehead on the other side (this is where the floating BMPs came in handy), and then they began to build a pontoon bridge. And then a week ago, they lit a boodyagu "why should the BMPs swim, they will cross the bridge with tanks." I would like to ask the supporters of non-floating vehicles - are you going to build a bridge directly to the enemy? Yes, of course, underwater driving of tanks, but ...

the only remark about the bmp3 is that its one-millimeter is weaker than the t55 cannon. Why does the car need 2 guns at once - extra weight, removing which you can increase the armor protection even from large-caliber machine guns without losing buoyancy. and these machines should be supported by "nones" and "octopuses" - also naturally floating, but with powerful shots

But will they, with such a reservation, capture the bridgehead? Question. It was more about the fact that no need to make all BMPs floating. This is the lot of relatively small strike units for such special operations.

they will be captured if, from the other side of the city, yes the Sau will be supported by + aviation. understand that a heavily armored tank on a bridge destroyed by direct fire does not help capture the bridgehead

But will they, with such a reservation, capture the bridgehead?

with adequate air and artillery support, they will certainly be captured, but TBMP will never be able to

This is the lot of relatively small strike units for such special operations.

ue belay ... the capture of the bridgehead on the other side of the river should be a regular military, not a special operation

the fact that TBMPs are needed is clear, although I still do not understand how they can be entered along with conventional BMPs (BMP-3, Kurganets-25) in the army without reorganization

the only comment about the BMP3 is its hundred millimeters are weaker than the T55 gun

Well, damn it, you compared a tank gun with a grenade launcher
