Moreover, actions of this nature manifested themselves literally in all sectors with which the main military department came into contact with and in contact: from military medicine and education to the sale of property of the Ministry of Defense and even soldier's “grub”.

Whether there was a real conflict between Shamanov and Serdyukov, which (the conflict) gave rise to talks about the “excommunication” of the general from the Ministry of Defense, or is it a portion of the criticism of “after” the ex-minister who left his place, it is difficult to say. But if everything remained the same with the leadership of the Airborne Forces, then on the other flank of the Defense Ministry’s activity, the leadership changed in Voentorg. Another “ministerial lady”, Marina Lopatina, lost her post. The decision to dismiss was taken personally by Sergei Shoigu. At least, that’s what Deputy Hinstein thinks.
