The regiment distinguished itself in the defense of Sevastopol from 1854 to 1855. The regiment was formed in the 1796 year in Tomsk. Subsequently, it was quartered and replenished in various cities of Russia. In 1910, the regiment was transferred to the city of Kozlov-Tambov province, where he built a barracks at the expense of the city.
