The photographs are interesting, but many questions arise - for example, what does heavy artillery have to do with this regiment, and many more minor questions ...
I would very much like someone to be able to explain these issues, but I understand that this is hardly possible ...
Thanks for the selection of photos ...

      Very, very interesting photos.
I always thought that motorcycles with machine guns are in their thirties. Was wrong!

Very valuable and interesting material. Our history and ancestors in the images. A glorious regiment with a glorious fighting history. The regiment distinguished itself in the defense of Sevastopol from 1854 to 1855. If I am not mistaken, until the last day of the defense of the city, Gervais stood on batteries not far from Malakhov Kurgan. And in honor of the regiment named one of the streets of Sevastopol, Tomsk. As in honor of other regiments distinguished themselves in the defense of the city. Later, the regiment took part in the liberation of the Balkans from the Turks. Glorious history and excellent photo materials. Respect to the author.

there, just by the way, is written on the regimental banner in the 39th photo: "For the pacification of Transylvania in 1849 and for Sevastopol in 1854 and 1855". A great regiment with a great history, its entire history from 1796 to 1918 fought for the honor of Russia.
Soldier song of the 39th Tomsk Infantry Regiment:
The Tomsk regiment is ready for the campaign, the flag is proudly flying.
On his spear, George has long since turned white.
It is obtained on the battlefield with the blood of our grandfathers
And covered with paternal glory bravely in the battles of the fallen.
        Fathers inherited the honor and valor of our grandfathers;
They told them not to forget about going to the Swedes,
About Danube and Sevastopol, Alps and Poltava,
Borodino battle and Khiva, and the Caucasus glory.
We are ready for our ancestors to follow suit.
And die for the honor of Russia, for the Tsar and Faith!
With their covenants, it’s not scary to go bloody into battle!
We will cover our banner with new loud glory!
For us there are no menacing trenches, ditches, steppes, traps,
We are not afraid of machine guns, fortresses and cannons.
We stand, as we stood, for the heyday of Russia!
The enemy will prostrate before us, as in the days of old!
Our commander, the officers are eager to glory with us!
As fathers, as grandfathers are brave - the color of a native power.
We are for the former commanders who led the regiment into battle,
Warmly pray, friends, a warm prayer.
Feel free to fight! Do not tremble your hands! will not leave the Banner!
God is with us! The flame does not go out in the chest of the Toms
        Glory to the Russian soldiers!

It's amazing, I didn't even know that there was such a heroic regiment - fellow countrymen. Unfortunately, I haven’t heard a word about him either at school or in museums. And what the words of the anthem! There is a neighboring topic about "Revival of the spirit of the Russian army", it would be great to revive such a heroic unit.

        Countrymen by birth.
The regiment was formed in the 1796 year in Tomsk. Subsequently, it was quartered and replenished in various cities of Russia. In 1910, the regiment was transferred to the city of Kozlov-Tambov province, where he built a barracks at the expense of the city.

Just the same with reverence I looked at these photos, already almost a hundred years old, as if I talked with my ancestors, and there were several of them in the First World War. Interesting photos, although a couple of signatures, like the issuance and distribution of St. George's crosses, are somewhat offensive. True, the third signature - the presentation of awards, corrected everything.

studied at the Tomsk Polytechnic University .... we had a teacher in electrical engineering, the old one was already PPC, by the name of Patsevich ... I don’t know the MB match, but the MB is really a descendant of the commander of this regiment))
