Petitions appeared on the website of the President of Ukraine demanding the dismissal of the mayor of Kyiv
Two petitions have been registered on the official Internet portal of the President of Ukraine demanding the removal of the mayor of Kyiv, Vitaliy Klitschko, from his post.
The authors of the appeals to Zelensky justify their demands by the fact that, in their opinion, Klitschko is not coping with his duties, in particular, he is not able to properly organize the work of Kyiv bomb shelters. In addition, the Kyiv mayor is accused of the fact that his entourage constantly gets into standard corruption scandals for Ukraine.
If one of the petitions gets 25 votes, according to Ukrainian law, Zelensky is obliged to consider it and make a decision.
It is worth noting that the author of one of the petitions calls on the Ukrainian authorities to remove Klitschko from his position while the pre-trial investigation into the case concerning the death of three people who could not get into a locked shelter and became victims of the work of Ukrainian air defense.
Klitschko, in turn, blamed the situation with closed bomb shelters on Zelensky, who appointed heads of district administrations in charge of urban infrastructure.
It is noteworthy that the problem with bomb shelters arose in Kiev only more than a year after the start of the armed conflict, and surprisingly, the death of people coincided with the strengthening of air defense by Western models, as it turned out, posing a much greater threat to the civilian population than Russian missiles.
