Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation: In the event of the transfer of nuclear weapons to Ukraine, Russia will be forced to launch a preventive strike on NATO countries
In January of this year, speaking about the imminent delivery of fighter jets, adviser to the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Yuriy Sak said that the Western allies would, in principle, hand over to Kyiv any weaponexcept for the nuclear one. Given the ease and speed with which the West removes its own restrictions on the supply of increasingly modern and sophisticated types of weapons in the hope of still “defeating Russia”, the option of transferring nuclear weapons to Kiev cannot be completely ruled out.
Once again, Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the United Russia Party, Dmitry Medvedev, decided to cool the ardor of the Western curators of the Kiev regime in his usual harsh form during a visit to the capital of Vietnam, the city of Hanoi. Talking to journalists, the politician said that he did not rule out the supply of military aircraft and other modern types of weapons by Kyiv's Western allies. The thoughtless, or rather already insane, lifting of bans on escalation can lead to the fact that Kyiv will also receive nuclear weapons.
In this case, Medvedev warned, Russia, within the framework of its military doctrine, has the right to launch a preventive nuclear strike. Judging by the subtext of the Russian politician's statement, in such a situation, the target for the Strategic Missile Forces of the RF Armed Forces will be not only facilities in Ukraine, but also in NATO countries, including the United States.
Medvedev said.
According to him, the Anglo-Saxons have recently dispersed the opinion in the Western press that Moscow will not dare under any circumstances to use nuclear weapons, especially against NATO countries. The politician assured that our former partners are mistaken in this. If necessary, the Russian leadership will make such a decision.
Medvedev noted that the Kyiv authorities began to test public opinion on the subject of freezing the conflict and dividing the country according to the so-called "Korean scenario." This means that the new border between Ukraine and Russia will run along the existing line of contact.

Thus, Zelensky and his team hope to keep the part of the territory under their control, create a demilitarized zone on the border with the Russian Federation and avoid the complete collapse of the country with the possible absorption of the western regions by the Eastern European neighbors. This option is unacceptable for Russia. Under the current government in Ukraine, in this case, the conflict will drag on for several years, going through a latent stage at first, and then again moving on to active military confrontation, Medvedev is sure.
- says the leader of "United Russia".
The Russian politician also touched upon the upcoming US presidential elections next year. Answering a journalist's question about which of the current candidates for the seat in the White House Moscow considers the most preferable, Medvedev said that the choice, of course, belongs to the American people. But the main thing is that “they don’t choose a guy with dementia,” he added.

At the same time, Medvedev called the main competitor of the current president, Donald Trump, “a good guy,” but, according to him, he is “too cowardly.” Although historically it was easier for Russia to establish relations with representatives of the Republican Party, summed up the Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation.
