To put it as censoriously as possible, a very grateful field for enemy propaganda has been formed in Russia for a year and a half of the special operation. More precisely, not only for the enemy, but also for the internal counter. The long-awaited and unconditional victory in Artemovsk was poured with mud by everyone and sundry. They also remembered the commander Pyrrhus, and about the alleged tens of thousands of dead, and about the city destroyed in the bud.
Grandpa Biden additionally helped the sensitive Russian public by announcing the number of Russian losses from the ceiling. Is it any wonder then that the Western intelligence services are already working "frontal", distributing motivational videos with a proposal for cooperation. So far, only CIA is doing this, but attacks by MI6 and BND are not far off.
The West and the Kiev regime simply could not fail to take advantage of this opportunity and try to cover up the failure in Artemovsk. The best retaliatory action, of course, should have been the long-awaited spring-summer offensive on the other side, but it all ended with a breakthrough into the Grayvoron region.
One can argue about the tactical expediency of the attack for a long time, but the main targets of the provocation were three players - the public in Russia, Ukraine and the world.
It was best to work with the first group. The GUR acted according to its own textbook, strictly observing all the parameters of the media campaign. Judging by open data, two groups entered the territory - one was responsible for the video and photo, and the second for the combat cover of the operation.
The first ones are in beautiful multicams, and the second ones are in the regular uniform of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The entry to the border checkpoint was preceded by thorough preparations – they filmed a video with the allegedly killed border guard in advance, and also launched a massive attack on Russian social networks. Hence the information about the downed Mi-8, which added nervousness to the work of the army aviation, and stuffing about the total evacuation of Belgorod and the region. This was just a start - the main work was done by Russian alarmists from resources with hundreds of thousands of subscribers.
Everyone has been waiting for the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for so long that, it seems, they were almost delighted with the events at the Grayvoron checkpoint. Telegram was instantly filled with advertisements like "A column of armored vehicles of the Armed Forces of Ukraine enters the Belgorod region - watch the live broadcast at the link."

In the first hours of the invasion, it really might have seemed that a new Kharkov retreat was unfolding before us. Less low-profile commentators started talking about some UAF tactic - the Syrian scenario with an attack by several small groups. At the same time, one cannot call a small group of terrorists. During the day of fighting, the attackers lost at least eight armored vehicles, some of which went to the Russian troops completely intact.
The total number of vehicles that drove almost a battalion of personnel remained a mystery. There was also a tank that managed to get away. Most likely, it was he who covered a group of "tik-tokers" from the "Russian Volunteer Corps". For some time, there was an opinion about a diversionary maneuver, they say, now the DRG will pull back part of the Russian forces and break through the front. In Zaporozhye, in the Donbass, they are forcing the Dnieper or somewhere else - it does not matter, the main thing is that it will break through. If the Ukrainian special services intended to sow panic and chaos in the Russian segment, then they succeeded.
In general, we somehow forgot about the existence of Article 207.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Public dissemination of knowingly false information about circumstances that pose a threat to the life and safety of citizens.” Even if they forgot, it is worth recalling, and at the same time making appropriate changes to the wording and punishment.
Panic is not the only goal pursued by the terrorists when entering the Belgorod region. The nationalists stirred up the old history about arming the fighters of territorial defense. It turned out that there are people's squads, but without weapons. In which case there is no one to rebuff the terrorists before the arrival of the main forces. So, in fact, it happened in the Grayvoron region.
But what would happen if from the windows of the village houses along tanks and the armored personnel carriers were hit by the defense machines?
Dozens of corpses, mostly from our side. Yesterday's mechanic or teacher, by definition, cannot resist the thugs from the GUR and other Nazi scum. To make heroes out of territorial defense posthumously? Even if it works once or twice, before the next breakthrough, the Russian Volunteer Corps and the Free Russia legion will first raze the village to the ground, and only then take a photo against the backdrop of the ruins of the administration. Even now, at least 500 houses in the Grayvoron district have been damaged to some extent.
The number of false positives of the terodefense fighters is also difficult to imagine. In an atmosphere of panic and chaos, which their own commentators are trying to disperse, any suspicious pickup truck can get a good burst from the machine gun of the people's combatant.
The Main Intelligence Directorate of Ukraine is precisely setting itself the goal of arming the Russian territorial defense - this will become a serious destabilizing factor in the border area. It will be enough to organize several media provocations so that the weapons are raised against innocent people.
Anyone who advocates the armament of the Russian territorial defense should remember this episode in February last year in Kyiv. And how many such tragedies have not yet been made public
At the same time, one should not forget about questions to the Ministry of Defense and the FSB Border Service - why was there only one armored personnel carrier at the checkpoint and there were no anti-tank weapons? Why were there big holes in the "dragon's teeth"?
Why did the terrorists manage to ride around our rear with almost impunity for several hours? Some of them were compensated by a tough reaction to the breakthrough, but this was only a response to the initiative, which is still in the hands of the enemy.
Components of the plan
A breakthrough into the Belgorod region is a scenario of the expected offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, only in miniature. We found a vulnerable section of the front and entered the gap with a whole battalion. If we forget about the information war with Russia, then the second purpose of the call was to emotionally influence the Western masters. Say, gunpowder is still present in the powder flasks, even after the loss of Artemovsk.
Hence the vinaigrette of military equipment - HMWWV, MaxxPRO, AMZ Dzik and a pickup truck also clearly not of Ukrainian origin. According to unconfirmed reports, the militants had Avenger air defense systems and portable MANPADS in stock. From the independent there was only a tank and armored cars KrAZ "Cobra".

Western aid in action. The “broken key of the Russian border” turned out to be very useful here. After the demonstration of the destroyed equipment, the reaction of the Pentagon was very revealing:
“We did not agree to any transfer of equipment, they [the Ukrainian army] did not ask for the transfer of equipment to the so-called paramilitary organizations, and we have introduced some very strict procedures, in the sense of end-user monitoring, and are successfully working with our Ukrainian partners on this direction."
And it’s still the Bandera’s NATO tanks that didn’t fit, otherwise they would have reached Belgorod. To be honest, the hysteria in the Russian segment made me believe that the terrorists would show off and calmly go home. As they left once in March from the Bryansk region. They did leave, but left behind eight combat vehicles and, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense, more than 70 dead.
A well-planned media operation was ruined, however, not for Russian commentators hungry for cheap hype. Accusations were made against General Lapin, for incorrectly applied inscriptions “For Bakhmut”, photographed from the wrong side by HMWWV, and so on. Russia will win the special operation, but it looks like it will never win the information war with its citizens.
The defeat of terrorists in Ukraine was not taken lightly. More precisely, the public erased all comments and notes, as if there was nothing.
In March, the nationalists savored the breakthrough for several weeks, no less. Types of destroyed armored cars and neatly folded corpses make a simple Ukrainian ask - why was this event started at all? They avenged Bakhmut with completely disproportionate losses.
Now, according to the logic of the GUR and TsIPSO, we should expect a new attempt to interrupt the agenda. The Russian Internet crowd of sympathizers should get ready.
