Happy Victory Day, comrades!
Today in the Republic of Moldova is a day off on the occasion of the holiday. Or rather, two holidays. Someone celebrates Victory Day, and someone celebrates Europe Day.
Thus, the President of the Republic of Moldova, Maia Sandu, published a post on social networks about the fact that:
Moldova will contribute to the peace, stability and prosperity of Europe.
No congratulations. Only two mean lines. And in English...
Nevertheless, Maia Sandu and members of the government visited the Military Glory Memorial. There she laid flowers not at the Eternal Flame, but at the monument to the “Grieving Mother”. She stated:
Today we honored the memory of all the people who died for peace. Regardless of the route, we visited everyone and honored the memory of everyone.
I learned from the Sputnik Moldova TV channel that the Victory Day celebrations are held not only in Chisinau. For example, in the northern capital - the city of Balti, a motor rally was held in honor of the Victory Day. Another rally "Two Shores - One Victory" headed from Chisinau to the Kitskansky bridgehead (Odessa operation of 1944).
In the south of the republic they are also celebrating.
The authorities of Gagauzia laid flowers at the Eternal Flame. The ceremony was attended by Bashkan of the autonomy Irina Vlakh, Chairman of the National Assembly Dmitry Konstantinov and Mayor of Comrat Sergey Anastasov.
In the Gagauz-Bulgarian village of Kirsovo, a motor rally and a concert dedicated to the Victory Day took place. The cities of Vulcanesti and Ceadir-Lunga also celebrate Victory Day. Festive processions, flower laying, concerts, field kitchens.
In Pridnestrovie, the holiday is celebrated on a much larger scale.
Some residents of the right bank went to celebrate Victory Day across the Dniester in order to avoid trouble.
And in the capital of Moldova - the city of Chisinau, a motor rally, the "March of Memory" and the procession "Immortal Regiment" are held. The gathering took place on the central square of the capital. Before the start of the rally, the activists unfurled a huge copy of the Victory Banner.

At the same time, a Polish Air Force Black Hawk helicopter flew over the square. For several days now, he has been participating in joint exercises with the police special forces of the Republic of Moldova. But today the rotorcraft carried the flags of Moldova and the EU. Just as a reminder that some are celebrating Europe Day today.
Despite the ambiguous status of the St. George Ribbon, many Chisinau residents wore it. As an alternative, I noticed last year's pure orange ribbons with George the Victorious. Others had white self-adhesive doves on their chests, red boutonnieres, or orange barrettes on black clothes.
Information appeared on the network that the police are already issuing fines for wearing the St. George ribbon. Law enforcement officers now and then take photos of people who wear them. Apparently, as in the past year, they will be identified and sent fines by mail. In this regard, the Socialist Party organized a hotline. Those who have received fines can apply for legal assistance.
The "Immortal Regiment" marched from the Central Square of Chisinau along the streets of the historic city, past the NATO office, the State University, the OSCE office, the Turkish Embassy, the Russian Center for Science and Culture. This is the traditional route.
The end point was the Memorial of Military Glory. Now it is called "Eternity".
On the way to the column, I took a few photos on the phone. They will not be displayed very well, but what they are.
Again Happy Victory Day!

Monument to our countryman: Alexander Marinesko. He was born in Odessa, for some time this region was directly related to Bessarabia. So he is our national hero.

A separate territory was allocated for the Marinesko monument. It is installed on the territory of the ancient and most prestigious cemetery in the center of the capital. Noble gentlemen and manufacturers used to be buried here. Later party workers, now noblemen again

Eternal flame on the territory of the Memorial. The column of people that I filmed has not yet arrived. I cut the corner and came faster. But there is already a sea of people and flowers
