TV program for May 9: what is wrong with modern films about the Great Patriotic War

On Victory Day, traditionally, most domestic TV channels will show films about the Great Patriotic War. In recent years, new, modern films have been shown more and more often, bypassing Soviet cinema, which is more preferred by many of our fellow citizens.

In general, there is nothing wrong with the fact that modern directors make films about the most terrible in stories humanity to a war in which our country won. After all, such pictures should instill a sense of patriotism and pride in their homeland among the younger generation. But in reality, things don't always work out the way you want them to.

There are a number of nuances that make today's cinema much more "weak" compared to Soviet films. Moreover, some "works" seem completely unacceptable.

What is wrong with modern films about the Great Patriotic War?

First, most war films made today are designed to attract the maximum number of viewers in order to maximize profits. As a result, in such films, the emphasis is not so much on individual feats, of which our compatriots accomplished a huge number, but on epic special effects and an emotional component.

After watching such a movie, the younger generation will not only not develop a sense of patriotism, but there will be confusion about good / bad.

By the way, about the latter. In the "acclaimed" film T-34, there are episodes about "good fascists" in the storyline. Complete absurdity. However, fans of World of Tanks cinema should "go in" ...

Secondly, no matter how hard modern actors try to convey the atmosphere that was inherent in the years of the Great Patriotic War, they will not be able to do this. Nurses with manicures and make-up are far from the 1940s model ... Soviet films in which real front-line soldiers were shot are another matter. There, every dialogue deserves attention, not to mention the plots based on real events.

Of course, there are in modern cinema and worthy films about the war. But much more often films are made that are “empty” in terms of historical heritage, and sometimes, unfortunately, devoid of semantic load. But the more attempts, the more likely the result.

In general, any of our films suffer from photo models. Moreover, even in police films where these photo models often play the role of even the heads of departments, which is not at all the case in reality. Why would it be so ... Directors attach their favorites.

If you thoughtfully wander around the regional department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, then you can find the places of deployment of such models, which you will not see in every blockbuster. True, they mostly serve as deputies of chiefs.

    No, not complete.
In those days, the enemies still retained the remnants of nobility in relation to each other.
There were cases when the Nazis humanely treated the prisoners and themselves buried the fallen generals and soldiers of the Red Army with honors.
In general, the article is about nothing and the topic is not disclosed.

Well, yes, they drove millions of people into gas chambers or simply shot them, and then they showed "nobility" ... first they poured Karbyshev with ice water in the cold, and then they buried him noble ...

Dear, about 50% of Soviet soldiers returned from German captivity ... from Soviet 80% ...

Secondly, your "noble" people destroyed FIFTEEN million PEACEFUL Soviet people ... if you don't know, then out of 27 million, only 12 million are military losses ...

This is what you call nobility???

Our general congratulated everyone on the capture of the Brest Fortress and began to present awards, at that very time a tall, fit officer of the Red Army emerged from the underground casemates of the fortress. He was blind from his wound and walked with his left arm outstretched. His right hand was on the holster of his pistol, he was in a torn uniform, but he walked with his head held high, moving along the parade ground. The division stood frozen. Unexpectedly for everyone, the German general suddenly clearly saluted the Soviet officer, the last defender of the Brest Fortress, after him all the officers of the German division saluted. The Red Army officer took a pistol from his holster and shot himself in the temple. The breath went through. We stood amazed by what we saw, amazed by the courage of this man. When they checked the documents - party and military cards - they found out that he was a native of the Chechen Republic of China, a senior lieutenant of the border troops. I remember his last name - Barkhanoev. We were ordered to bury him with proper military honors. He was buried under a gun salute.

        And here's another:

a group of Russian prisoners of war, guarded by German soldiers, carried their murdered commander-in-chief, General Efremov, to the cemetery in Slobodka on tied poles. It was an unforgettable moment. There he rested, under an inconspicuous wooden board with a Russian inscription. The last one who gave him military honors, as the winner in a mortal battle, according to the old German custom, was our commander, General Greiner ”(commander of the 268th infantry division. At that time, still a colonel. Major general received on this very day. April 20, 1942

In general, I am surprised how Soviet directors managed to make a short and meaningful film. These series have already tortured. What is not in a modern film. First, episodes. A series, a book with a sequel - all this is from the series - They found a pear and shake it.

Many films, especially of the 60s, about the war (and the post-war period), are not shown, or are shown very rarely, although they simply cut with their truth. Of these films - "The Third Rocket", "Ivan's Childhood", "The Cranes Are Flying", "Black Birch", "Silence", "Clear Sky", "The Lark", "On the Seven Winds", "Soldiers", "Span of the Earth "," It was in reconnaissance "," The places are quiet here ", and many others.
Why they are not shown is a question, but after them modern films are just a beautiful "action" - it is beautiful on the outside, empty inside.

I remember the Soviet film "Soldiers Are Not Born" The film is wonderful, but ...
How many important and necessary scenes are thrown out of the trilogy by K. Simonov just because it is not a series. I would very much like to watch the series based on the trilogy by K. Simonov. But, I can’t imagine modern actors in the role of Serpilin, Sintsov, Shmakov, etc.
If the Ministry of Culture allows on May 9 the screening of such films as: "Penal Battalion", "Gu-ha", "Bastards" and other rubbish, then this will be a spit on the graves of the fallen soldiers of the Red Army.
Better let them show Soviet films. True, from the modern ones, Shakhnazarov's film "White Tiger" will be in place. Shakhnazarov is right, Nazism = "White Tiger" remained "alive", he was not finished off and he returned "from the swamp" to the outskirts

        K. Simonov has both trilogies - "The Living and the Dead" - and "The So-Called Private Life (Lopatin's Notes)" - very strong and truthful works. And I also can’t imagine their full adaptation, especially in modern conditions. This must be read.
In fact, there are quite a few such truthful works, but many have either been forgotten or not known.
These are the works of Y. Bondarev, and V. Bykov, and V. Nekrasov "In the trenches of Stalingrad", and V. Uspensky "Unknown Soldiers", and much more.
And according to the trilogy "The Living and the Dead" 2 films were shot, "The Living and the Dead" and "Retribution". And to squeeze everything that is in the works into these films was simply, unfortunately, impossible.

I rarely watch Russian cinema films for a long time! "Chepnyxa, pornyxa" and the blatant bad taste in the absence of the mind of the directors who at one time filled the RF-cinema, weaned me from the Russian cinema! I have a particularly negative attitude towards films "about the war" and to the so-called "historical" films! I have not watched many "military" films of the last decade and I do not regret it! And there are reasons for this ... Somehow a dispute between me and one relative about the film "T-34" "boiled" ... no one agreed with each other! I had to watch this film with a relative and comment on "blunders" during the film! The relative did not give up to the end (ignorant in military history in particular, and in the military theme "wabche" ... what can you take from him?), but I remained even more convinced that there is no normal Russian cinema, but only an appearance .. With "historical" films - about the same "story! In my school years, I was very fond of the history of past centuries of Russia ... moreover, I was no longer attracted by the historical facts (events) themselves, but by life, customs, cuisine and other similar things in life people of that time... And now Russian "historical" films "went"! After watching a couple, I no longer watched such films at all!

To make a good film about the Motherland, one must love this Motherland. And modern filmmakers, as well as television people with journalists, love only money. Yes, and most of the talents "God cheated." Therefore, they do it "like in Hollywood", and not the way we would like. Alas!

And Bondarchuk - 9th company, Stalingrad - you have to survive out of your mind in order to remove this. "The battalions are asking for fire", "They fought for the Motherland", "The dawns here are quiet" - we have been watching for decades. And... tears. And modern her - only out of principle. "Modern filmmakers" are akin to "effective managers" - the main box office and "people hawala". A. that this same "people" - for the most part, grew up in the lessons for the "victims of the Unified State Examination", in conjunction with the ideology of consumption, which has lasted since the time of ebn with his Gaidarism - they prefer to keep quiet. There is not a single military consultant to review such "products". The real participants, for the most part, are already far away, and modern cashiers will not attract historians and specialists. Even the respected Nikita Sergeevich Mikhalkov allows outright blunders in his films (for example, about the arrival of Kremlin cadets to the front). Already sent one of his assistants to the Moscow Combined Arms, fortunately not far away, they brought the exact facts there and would not have to screw it up like that. But no, the story in the style of OBS is more effective on the screen. I will not repeat about the rest of the "movie epists". However, look too. Ugh..

In some brand new film about tanks, the main character, in the forest, capitalized the tank engine overnight, as they say, in one face, and even the blush on her cheeks did not go away, and her eyebrows and hairstyle were all preserved).
In another movie, a nurse on the battlefield in a miniskirt with bare legs runs around.
In 28 Panfilov soldiers, 2 fighters with 1 machine gun, almost standing up to their full height, laid down half of the company of the advancing infantry with tanks ..

Of all the remakes, I can watch "In August 44", "White Tiger", "Star". And also "Tanks". Although he is a little comedic, he came in.

All remakes about WWII are connected by one line: to show some fantastic episodes; demonstrate some kind of ostentatious love that looks like ordinary lust, demonstrate the deliberate stupidity and cruelty of special officers ...
Among the total, perhaps, I would single out the film "Tankman" with Alexei Chadov in the title role. It would be possible to neglect various inconsistencies for the sake of one - the heroism of the crew shown in the film. And this is not fiction because there was an example to follow:
Lavrinenko fought on T-34-76 tanks of the 1941 model, in which the tank commander simultaneously served as commander and gunner.
For two and a half months of fighting, D.F. Lavrinenko took part in 28 battles and destroyed 52 tanks, becoming the most productive tanker in the Red Army and the anti-Hitler coalition throughout World War II.

As for the episodes of the war in the films ... Here is an interesting episode:

What's so interesting? At that time and in that reality, it was far from the only episode. Whole marshals came out of the encirclement without a uniform ...
Somehow you can’t throw words out of a song
      "... Kulik entered Stalin's office.
-Comrade Stalin, - Kulik wanted to say hello, but Stalin interrupted him.
      -Who are you?

Kulik was embarrassed, but he had enough character not to get confused, quietly but firmly answered?
      - Marshal of the Soviet Union, Kulik has arrived on your orders.
For some reason, Stalin glanced at Kulik. He also looked at himself, maybe something was wrong, Stalin could not stand slovenliness. It feels good. Kulik looked inquiringly at Stalin.

-Where are the sandals, I look?
      - Comrade Stalin, I can explain.
      - Where are the shoes? - Stalin again interrupted Kulik and in his hearts he already added, without hiding that he could hardly restrain his anger. - Bast shoes, shirt ... what else did you dress up when you left the encirclement?

“It is not clear the behavior of the Deputy. People's Commissar of Defense Marshal KULIK. He ordered everyone to remove their insignia, throw away their documents, then change into peasant clothes and change into peasant clothes himself. He himself did not have any documents with him, I do not know if he took them with him from Moscow. He offered to drop weapons, and personally orders and documents for me, but apart from his adjutant, a major in rank, I forgot his last name, no one threw documents and weapons. He motivated this by the fact that if we get caught by the enemy, he will take us for peasants and let us go.
Just before crossing the front, Comrade KULIK was driving a peasant cart along the very road along which the German tanks were moving ... and only a lucky chance saved us from meeting the Germans. Marshal Comrade KULIK said that he knew how to swim well, but he did not swim across the river, but waited for a raft to be put together.

Then I looked at "Operation Neman"

And I already understood from advertising that it would be bullshit. Back in 2001, while there were still students and followers of Soviet directors, they could still make films “In August 44th” (2001), “Star” (2002), even Panin is an artist there, and you don’t sew a sleeve to her. And now... "Fighters"? Who started filming as Stormtroopers? Yes, the form and other little things are just like in life, but why was it necessary to save on the Internet? Well, at least they could see how the lower straps of the parachute suspension system are fastened correctly. If BYKOV himself has several inconsistencies in "The Battle Are Only Old Men", then Muradov has a jamb on the jamb and drives the jamb. Such a "feeling" that the screenwriter of "Penal Battalion" wrote the script for him, looking back at the aviation component ... I just don’t know about “Podolsk cadets” to cry, laugh or send a request to the prosecutor’s office for discrediting the memory of those who died for the defense and freedom of our Motherland in the Great Patriotic War? .. The first question is why the command of the battle group, having excellent offices and audiences, holds a military council on the parade ground of the school, laying out maps on stacks of some boxes? Further more. I will not say anything about the speed limit road sign and the concrete poles of the power line. But even me, a signalman, is tormented by the question - why did the artillerymen take up positions in a lowland (simply in a ditch) from which only one lane of the road is visible. Well, there they got into a German armored personnel carrier, the Germans quickly jumped out, lay down in the opposite ditch ... This is the first battle of cadets shown in the film ... I’m generally silent about Bezrukov running with a Thompson submachine gun, or a German flamethrower in a mask for working with a grinder, as well as about the Pz.Kpfw. IV which is "demolished" from the bridge by a shell from a forty-five ... The series, I can be mistaken, it seems "Tankman", on the topic of Zinovy Kolobanov's FEAT. They tried to reproduce the event itself with maximum plausibility, as it were ... Those who read in the subject know how this reconstruction differs from the truth, but okay, let's watch the movie. And the Germans jump out of wrecked tanks, and our infantry dies from enemy shells ... True, everyone’s uniform seems to be half an hour ago, like from a warehouse ... Well, these are trifles, From the beginning of the films, the evil NKVDshnik is trying to at least imprison the main character, to shoot at the maximum. And the reason is so important. A beauty, she loves a tanker, and the NKVDeshnik loves a beauty, she does not refuse him at all, but, as it were, hints that if that tanker does not touch, then he will be able to touch the curls on her lower forehead. Moreover, the insanity of the film - the tanker left after a serious wound to the rear, to test and design new tanks, and the special officer went after him - like, did everyone have their own special officer at that time? And what's the catch, Anatoly Kot plays the special officer. A good artist, but watching modern "movies", it turns out that he plays from film to film, or special officers, or the Gestapo. and sometimes one gets the impression that he simply moves from one set without changing clothes to another, at best he only changes his tunic for a tunic. Well this is a joke. good By the way, such a historical fact is indicated in Smirnov's book. The last fight of Major Pugachev ....... Well, unlike the informer Solzhenitsyn, who trained as a paramedic in the Magadan penal servitude, at least he really saw the North and visited correctional labor institutions. And this libel, called a story, he took from a really real event. True, there was only one officer who actually received a criminal article, there was a rear guard. The remaining 11 were Bandera and Vlasov. The network has a family description with articles. and the crimes of each of those who participated in the rebellion, who described the shalams as an uprising ... And they feed us with this oats that have passed through the horse's esophagus .... Therefore, we open the Internet and type in the search engine - "Zhenya, Zhenechka, Katyusha", "Chronicle diving bomber", "They fought for the Motherland", "Lark", "Only old men go into battle ...", "Brest Fortress", "In August 44th", "Star", "28 Panfilov" and of course the most , the best and most difficult film about the war - "... From more or less modern cinema there are worthy kinchiks:
    Brest Fortress
    28 panfilovtsev
    We are from the Future
    August 44th
    Star
    Go and look

And, in my opinion, "White Tiger" is pretty good. A fabulous movie, of course, but it was shot very cool, "in Balabanov's way", long shots, transitions between scenes through dimming the screen, etc.

Most likely, he did not indicate a lot of things, but probably there was a minuscule amount of unspecified worthy films. The rest is slag

To be honest, "We are from the future", I don't even know what to call it ... Yes, it's better than the Bastards and the Penal Battalion ... But "Come and See" is still Soviet cinema, and therefore a strong movie ...

I agree with the author. Modern cinema about the Great Patriotic War does not solve the main tasks of national cinema: 1 - does not make you believe in what is happening and empathize, 2 - does not bring up a patriot of the Fatherland, 3 - instills a surreal feeling that war is like a computer game, and not a real battle life, but to death. In a word - 100% marriage. And the authors of this marriage are primitive idiots, pseudo-intellectuals on a crazy amount of maintenance from the state, which, as can be seen from the "creative" result, does not know what it is doing. ... "masters of art - who are you with?" ! Mr. Shakhnazarov, while you are alive, do at least something for our Motherland on a grand scale, just stop talking on a talk show. Enter the History of the Fatherland with your deeds. After all, you understand everything.

And here are 2 more shots from the trilogy about the war, filmed by a famous "cultural figure"

in the first frame, a fascist pilot shits on a Red Cross barge
on the second, 2 wounded middle-aged fighters do somersaults through a 2-meter fence.

It's more about the degradation of cinema as a whole, not only in the Russian Federation but also on a global scale. This is an objective and seemingly irreversible process. Movies about the war are just a special case.

Well, what is there to be surprised at, we are still trying to equal Hollywood, although fortunately they have not yet reached their level, otherwise they would have seen blacks and even gays in films about the Second World War. We haven't reached the bottom yet.

Zoya, Rzhev, First Oscar, Devyatayev, Righteous, Sobibor, Red Ghost, Stalingrad, the Battle of Sevastopol and others - this is such a bottom of disrespect for everyone - for the people, for veterans, for the dead. Behind the beautiful pictures of special effects lies a hidden meaning that refutes the feat and heroism of the people, the country.

But much more often films are made that are “empty” in terms of historical heritage, and sometimes, unfortunately, devoid of semantic load.

Unfortunately, there is even a semantic load - terry anti-Soviet.

Previously, war veterans themselves made films about the war. And they tried to show how it was for the next generations. By the way, earlier on the set there was always a consultant. Was like this on set. Two films of Soviet cinema, as an example, "The Living and the Dead" and "They Fought for the Motherland." It would be forbidden to make films about the Second World War. Not only do they not know what they are filming about, but sometimes it seems that another "masterpiece" was filmed by Kolya from Urengoy.

And the Soviet ones, and certainly the new Russian ones, must be removed. Lies a lot. The Soviets talked about the horror of war. Yes. But not more. History textbooks from the USSR lie to this day. Not explaining cause and effect. Not before the war period, not the war. And after the war, no. Or rather, a lie and for the sake of the principles of the 20th Congress. Most of the military review is shit in their heads. They have no idea about the pre-war period. Nothing. There is absolutely no understanding. Mess in my head. Somehow hooked up with a historian. By this. Education, everything. I explained to him for a long time about the number of Hungarians who fought on the territory of the USSR. He tells me about data from sources. I told him about the graves in the black earth and Stalingrad. About prisoners. And how many are unknown. Thousand 900 turns out. And he told me again. It's said there. And so on for each item.

Soviet films about the war should be divided into ordinary ones, where the emphasis is on ideology and scale, and philosophical ones, where there are stories of people and deep dialogues. The latter are of interest.
At the same time, the bulk of Soviet films with a bunch of blunders, then they somehow looked at realism through their fingers. German tanks without exception fell into the frame in the form of "square" T-54s, trucks of the 70s, T-10s and other post-war equipment flashed by. The party gave the task to the directors, but did not give money for its implementation.
In general, the lack of attention to detail is a problem for modern Russian cinema. Everything is done in a blob.

Grandfather could not watch Soviet films about the war. He said: Everyone is lying, everything was wrong. Passed the Finnish and Patriotic. With a three-ruler, he went from Stalingrad to Berlin in artillery reconnaissance, and signed the Reichstag. And about the Fritz - someone shoved chocolates for children, and someone shot their parents for a photograph of their son in a Red Army uniform ... And my father told how they fed the Fritz with bread as children in a camp in the Urals ... Modern shnyaga can only be safely watched having a good education. Otherwise, the brains become plasticine ...

Not only, in modern films, even battalion commanders are sitting in dugouts and chasing tea. And in the 46th motorcycle regiment for 41-42, 2 regiment commanders died, and then already in the 2nd guards one more ...

Well. Fake movies, fake propaganda, fake experts, but everyone is nodding on TV like they should.

All military propaganda, all cries, lies and hatred, always come from people who will not go to this war.

From modern films, despite the blunders and unrealistic plot, I was hooked by "Edinichka". Most strange why. I also like the short films of the cycle "About people and about war". Filmed with quality and heart. Happy holiday everyone.

In addition to makeup, I will add:
"Standing breasts" of the heroines from modern bras and implants, tightened faces, pumped up lips and priests, fat characters and extras, cloudless skies, endless scraping and giving "honor" of the post-war period, overcoats and gymnasts that miraculously survived, boots polished to a shine, a terrible military technology, the Germans are fools, phrases: a fighter ... - there is!
    And many many others.
Not films about the war, but the endless fantasy of the sick in the head, or at least the losers who are not interested in history.

From the last. Not bad in general, the film "The Righteous" managed to spoil the saluting "honor" and moving on the command of the partisans.
    Fantastic boobies!

In order to shoot something about the war, it would not hurt the scriptwriters and director to look at the chronicle, look at kilometers of photos.
The victims of the EG and the liberal point of view, this is the minimum.

Once, looking through old photos, I saw a tank of the first - world war, if I'm not mistaken - MK1, in Berlin, converted into a firing point. This is 45, the assault on Berlin.
Imagine this multi-gun machine on Berlinskaya Street. I just freaked out!

I really don't like new movies. You start watching and everything is somehow not so conveyed to the viewer. Actors are not like that.
American films are more realistic, like the old Soviet ones.

Because the film was not shot with the money of the Ministry of Culture, respectively, there was no indication of its promotion.
Moreover, "28 Panfilov" for high representatives of Russian culture, as a spit in their "little soul". There are no "sensational revelations" based on years of research in secret archives, no "lordly allegories", no "noble opponents", not even boobs. And most importantly, the people themselves collected the money and withdrew it.

Of the films made over the past 30 years, I would advise you to watch only "28 Panfilov", "In August 44th", "Brest Fortress" and "321st Siberian Part 1". Everything else UG.
The most annoying thing is that on May 9, almost all channels showed only UG. During the day and in the evening I clicked on all the channels, only I came across the "Belarusian Station".
